I love the tacos so much! The meats are all so delicious. They also have great chips and queso. I find the menu to be a bit confusing, so I never know how much I'm actually going to pay for what I order. However the prices seem to be on par with most Mexican restaurant food. I would suggest going inside if you need a large order for takeout- I have done it twice through the drive through and had to repeat the entire order at the window. The lady also got kind of rude about it but I think she was just frustrated about a large order. read more

If you get the tacos on Tue. or Sun. they are a good deal at $1.50 each. They were okay, but not very big. We tried the steak, and the chicken. Just average, really. The chips and salsa for $3.99 are a rip off, bland salsa, thin chips. Not as good as the free ones at many places. Beers are $3.99 a bottle. No draft. FWIW, this place is owned by the same family that owns Dos Margaritas and Las Lomas. I prefer both of those places over this location. read more

I went with my daughter and wife. My daughter doesn't like Mexican food, so we bought something from somewhere else. Entering the restaurant we didn't saw any sign that you can't bring anything from somewhere else like many parents do. They basically kicked us out stating that we couldn't bring any food from elsewhere. If that's a rule they at least should put a sign on the issue. Very rude. read more

A great experience. This little taco shop doesn't look like much, but the food is better than most Mexican joints in Fort Wayne. I cannot begin to describe how fresh the food here is. I highly recommend everything. I had three steak supremos tacos, and everyone else had chicken supremos tacos. We also got orders of queso, guac, and salsa. The food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. My group spent a lot while we were here, but if you just get tacos, this could easily be a meal less than $7. Again, great place. A giant cooler full of alcoholic drinks in the front. Jarritos, horchata, and Pepsi fountains in the back. If you want/need some good tacos, this taqueria will hook you up. read more

This place is amazing! Their specials are extremely affordable, I mean $1.99 margaritas on Wednesdays? Can't beat it! Even at full price I will be a regular here. We got steak nachos. The steak is the best steak I have ever tasted at a Mexican place. The seasoning is perfect. And totally tender no tough pieces. We also got the carnitas quesadilla. It was also wonderful! Ok so I found this place after my normal Authentic place was closed. The place has been there 2 years the girl said. We had no clue. But real Mexican closer to the north end! AMAZEBALLZ ! The place is Sketchy when you pull up and Ugh it had a Drive Up! Well when in Rome! So we go to the drive up. They take the order but the sound was poor so she brought us up to the window. Told us what she had and then HELPED me get the right sides. No kidding out a Window. In my truck with great Internet, Real Mexican food! The comparison to the old place end with this place was easy to order, there is no homeless waiting with you for here food and the food was Hotter. The togue was fresh , the Steak was absolute spot on. The horrible kids request were followed and no crazy removing stuff they didn't want on there. So I will say the best local Food find 2018 hands down. But its a Mexican Taco Shop it does not deserve a $$ price base in a town that likes Food Trucks! Great place! read more

Two stars because the service was so bad. The server was talking to a friend on her headset the entire time we were there and messed up our order (i ordered a taco combo with beans and rice and ended up getting no rice and beans but a random extra taco?) Absolutely excellent tacos! I cannot comment on other menu item because I have not had anything else. I ordered one of each taco and the Barbacoa taco (shredded beef) stood out of the crowd. All of the tacos were good but this one was great. Very informative/friendly service and a clean atmosphere. From the outside the restaurant doesn't look like much, but this establishment is about the food and the food is don't right! They serve beers and freshly prepared margaritas (Togo margs Mon-Sat. I highly recommend this place for anyone who knows the difference between a taco and a REAL taco. So get out there and EAT! read more

Delicious tacos and reasonable pricing. Two types of salsa available: a red and a green. Both are tasty and the green has some heat! Great menu options, sodas, and beer. The location is tucked away a bit off of Clinton, but not too hard to find. The only two things holding me back from giving 5 stars is the ambiance and the fact that you have to pay for the chips and salsa. Otherwise the food is amazing and we will be back soon! read more

When I tell you this place doesn't get the hype it deserves, I mean it! Delicious ingredients, everything always tastes fresh, and the employees are very kind and quick. I must say the prices at this place are incredible and the doos was some of best Mexican I have had. I come from an area in East where we have plenty of Mexican options and I know good good vs soso or poor. I had two tacos and also had rice and beans. Very good food, I love the handmade salsa specially the green one. My favorite tacos were de al pastor. My husband's were de lengua. Good prices, most places I go they only have bottled salsa but not this place they actually make it by hand. Literally, this place was very busy on a Tuesday night. There were 4 cops coming in when I left, and because the local cops eat here, I knew that this is a 5-star rating. I had three tacos (corn shell; two steaks and one carnita). I also had green salsa. Tasted authentic - the shell was not crisp but soft corn flour that was double-layered. The steak was tasty and juicy and the carnitas...wow! The lady was very nice at the counter and the restaurant was clean. If you need speed of delivery this is the taco spot for you. If you prefer your food to be served at an appropriate temperature you may want to keep moving. I stopped by Famous Taco on a Friday evening and was surprised by how quiet is was, but I really wanted to try it so I stepped in anyway. Maybe it's my fault because I ordered a burrito at a place called Famous Taco, but the burrito was not warm at all. This was especially disappointing given the price was a lot closer to that of a full service restaurant than an order at the counter taqueria. Taqueria Coahuila is just on the other side of Coliseum Blvd and is a far superior experience for not quite as much money as Famous Taco. I won't completely rule out a return visit based on one experience because it wasn't horrible, but it just wasn't very good. read more

First time here and first impressions were good. The place is super clean, well stocked and organized. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Simple menu, which I appreciate. I tried three different tacos. The Barbacoa was good... to be fair I'm not a big fan of shredded beef, but it still had good flavor and was very moist. The chorizo taco was next. Good spice, a little salty, but not bad enough to be upset. I would order it again. Pretty tasty. The Pastor taco was last and very much not least. This taco was delicious... little diced bits of pork with an old world flavored sauce. Very, very good. They provided three salsas that were chilled and flavorful. The green was great and spicy. The other two had a very distinct chipotle flavor to them. Both very good flavor and a decent heat to them. Three tacos and a drink were a little over $9... street tacos are usually $1.50 apiece and lucky for us this place has them for that price on Tuesdays and Sundays! I went in Famous Taco yesterday afternoon to place a carryout order. It was mid-afternoon and there were more employees than customers at the time. I was greeted by a lady at the door who told me the specials and directed me to the end of the counter to place my order. The lady at the counter virtually ignored me while she continued wrapping another order. I stood there 3-4 minutes and she never even made eye-contact, the all of the other employees did. I walked out. There are a half a dozen Mexican restaurants within a mile radius that would be happy to have my business. Poor customer service. read more

Husband and I went here on Tuesday. We were on our way to another place to eat when I remembered they weren't open. So we decided after I had read the reviews for this place a few days before to try them out. I drove past them and turned around down the street. Taco Day Tuesday !! Yeah!! I ordered 3 carne asada tacos with of course cilantro and onions and a Mexican Coke with a cup of ice. Husband ordered the ground beef burrito with the beans on the side and 2 chicken tamales, and a large Horchata. Okay the 4 stars.The carne asada (steak) was a bit chewy. Not real bad but a bit chewy.I still ate them with the green salsa (kinda hot) The red salsa was HOT.Husband loved his super HUGE ground beef burrito and the beans. The chicken tamales ? The masa was good not too thick or thin and was not dry. However the chicken was a bit dry. I put the green salsa on some and it was a bit better. The salsa (both) were too hot for the Husband . The Horchata was good. A very nice Lady took our order at the counter and brought our food to the table. Self serve beverages.A Gentleman cooked our order fresh and hot.He was friendly also. She had also a drive-up and around 8 people came in as we sat down. It didn't take long for our order, maybe 15 minutes. Would we go back? Yep but I would order the ground beef tacos.$1.50 each on Tuesday and Sunday. Can't beat that.Husbands burrito was $7.95 but it was HUGE.They are on special on Monday for &5.99.Don't know if they are the same size though. They do have beer and margaritas.
