The Rodeo with cinnamon raisin toast

Solid food, quick and friendly service, and big portions. Homemade jams and bread from a local bakery too!

    Chicken Rice Soup

Called in order for lunch pickup. No online ordering option. Pay at pickup. Parking lot was packed. Food was ready at the front. The cup of Chicken Rice soup wasn't what I expected - look and size, but it was perfect for a cold day. My preconceived thought of a Club Sandwich has toasted bread, cut into quarters. This one was slathered in butter and on a flat top. It was gooey and delicious, but heavy and rich. I could only eat half for lunch and ate the other half later.

The staff is so kind and welcoming. My first impression was how clean it looked and felt. The prices were acceptable for most seniors that love going out and expect quantity for their dollar. Two separate tables near me were splitting dinners. I will own this experience. My perception of this establishment was a little skewed. I had it in my head this was a farm to table experience. THE FARMHOUSE - Local, Fresh, Delicious. No pricing, which further convinced me that it's normal when you're sourcing from local farmers to have price fluctuations. I did not do any further research and continued on. The menu handed to me had a large content of dishes with no theme. That should have grabbed my attention. It didn't. I ordered the smothered meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and extra side of coleslaw. Nothing had flavor. Not even the Swiss cheese. The coleslaw was from a tub. It had that gel slippery texture that is loaded with preservatives. The broccoli was fresh, but it had a strange sour taste. I'm not sure what exactly is made from scratch, but the pulled pork comes from Gordon's. That was confirmed when asked if it was made fresh here, or is it Gordon's. The carrot cake was good and that is made in-house. This review is not intended to ruin a local favorite for many in the senior community. My intention is to bring to attention that this is not farm to table, and the format of the website is similar to The Farmhouse Deli in Douglas, which is founded on locally sourced ingredients and freshly made food. The staff and cleanliness deserves 5 stars. My meal was 1 star. I didn't bring the leftovers for lunch. I don't want it again.

Good solid breakfast comfort food. I wanted to try this place and finally got the chance. Lots of locals and regulars enjoying the company of friends and family here. Solid food and the best strawberry jam that I have had in awhile. I had the Southern Omelet and raisin toast.

This is the 'Zeel' 3 egg special breakfast. The other is the menu and Awesome jamb!!!

The breakfast I had, was 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes and cinnamon toast with homemade strawberry jam. The food was ample portions and tasty. The 'scrambled' eggs as often is the case are just a chopped bunch of flatop grilled eggs. That's not really not scrambled eggs, their chopped up eggs. The bacon was a bit chewy. Hash brown potatoes were crispy and tasty. The toast was good. The most outstanding thing for me, was the homemade strawberry jamb! The wait time was longer than anticipated. However the restaurant was quite busy at 9:45 on Friday morning. The wait staff was kind and polite. The ambiance was very nice. New and fresh remodel. It was a nice dinning experience with good but not outstanding food. I recommend it for a nice average or a bit above that breakfast.

A very nice simple and rustic atmosphere, with a warm inviting feeling! I ordered the Sloppy Joe sandwich with fries and since I know sloppy joes aren't usually the most filling I also ordered a side salad. The side salad was actually quite large and had different types of greens. Very simply it was an excellent salad. The Sloppy Joe was Outstanding, easily the 2nd best I've ever had. The 1st was my friends mom's, so not available, lol. The fries had a great texture and were very good. The person I was with got the Blueberry Feta Salad. It was very large and pretty. It had lots of blueberries and pecans. It was stated to be wonderful! The portion sizes for the most part was very generous and fairly priced. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food cane out shockingly quickly, though they weren't busy at about 2pm. Overall an easy 5 stars. We will be back. We both stated it needed to go on our repeat list. I highly recommend giving Farmhouse a try!

You guys. I have joined the ranks of people who eat miniature meals so to speak so my review game has been weak. Today I was so excited to try the Farmhouse for my first time! I went with my amazing in laws for a nice late lunch at 12:45 to avoid the rush. We were greeted by a server who acted like she didn't want to be there. I know, I'm a pro. I'm not only a nurse but I still pick up some server shifts when I feel like adding to my bank account. Any how, she was fine. I wouldn't say kind, but she brought us food. I did hear her snap at a different server about how there's two tables waiting and how she can't go home yet. If this is the owner, shame on you. I had every intention of getting a patty melt with no bang bang sauce, eating a little and taking it home. The server said they had chili and that's what I got instead! So food came out hot. The fam all got a fish dinner of sorts. I can't have fried anything so I didn't get to taste theirs. My chili was hot. Here is where it gets tricky. Either I have Covid and lack of taste is my only symptom, or these guys don't season their food. Now I've said before that this is the whitest area I've ever lived in and I don't know if anyone has ever taught y'all how to season your food, but please. Please take yourselves down to the Carolinas. GA. AL. TX. AZ. All of these places have one thing in common. Seasoning. And people of the non light beige persuasion. That's probably why. If you don't have 30 different herbs, spices, and seasonings in your pantry at all times then I just don't know, but my chili had exactly zero in it. Next time I'm going to bring my own adobo shaker in with me. Not even playing. The one with picante. Y'all gotta check that one out. Two stars cause the hostess was nice.

Our first visit. The ambiance was very cool Americana farm style. The food was poor quality! The omelette was flat and uninspired. The pancakes were grainy, sugary and tasteless. Order basic bacon and eggs or eat someplace else.

We walked in and were greeted immediately and told we could "sit wherever." Selected a booth which is nice and comfy near a window. Server stopped by and grabbed our drinks quickly (coffee), which came hot and kept being refilled. We've visited quite a few times as I like that we can order breakfast or lunch items. He ordered his favorite with extra coney sauce. To my surprise, today the menu was updated (we've not been for a while) and they had m&m pancakes which I haven't had since I was a child. Theyre huge and delicious. I took 2 home. The food came FAST (af boi ), and hot. Which is always my goal for breakfast. The breakfast burrito has a lot of hash browns, which I didn't realize, but the chorizo had good flavor. Also rather large and took half home. Under $40 for 2 coffees and 3 items is a steal these days. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a charming place to stop for breakfast. It has a bit of a smalltown diner vibe, which is so quaint. It's always clean, and if you have a second, drop by the bathrooms. They're cute and decorated well, but the arches in the hallways on the way there are dreamy! Good food. Good prices. Always great service. We will be back :)

The gals kept checking in on us quite often and we're friendly throughout. This place is a step up to the bar and order type deal unique but I feel like it keeps everything efficient. The food was pretty good and came out fairly quick. I got nachos for the second day in a row the sauces and salsa were very tasty. I got extra southwest ranch on the side. They do cost a little extra, but it helped add some additional flavor. My only critique would be loading it up more by adding a queso cheese option or additional cut veggies, or jalapeños or guac, but not bad. They also have a very extensive drink less in their own seltzers and in-house stuff which makes it tough to decide what you really can't go wrong. Oh and I forgot we started with the cheese curds which were phenomenal. Definitely continue to look this place up and check it out if we're in the area and would recommend.
