I do recommend this place. Food was decent, we were seated quickly and served quickly as well. Nothing really popped, just a good, maybe average breakfast.

The Farmstead is beautifully advertised on @nashfoodfan so we were very excited for our first visit. Service was fast and kind. The restaurant is small and intimate, probably best for groups 4 people or under. We started strong with coffees, a hot cocoa, and the biscuits. The biscuits and jam were incredible, though the butter in tiny packaged cubes would've been better softened beforehand. Or perhaps butter made in house would be a nice touch to go along with the fresh biscuits and jam. The main entrees of breakfast sounded great at first, but the execution was lacking. For example, so much cheese on the breakfast tacos but the cheese isn't melted, just thrown on cold like a garnish. Or the side dish casserole on the pork benedicts dish that was cold. We bought two jams and one hot sauce before leaving. My family and I loved those. Strong start, but our Farmstead visit was ultimately just OK. Great work with the biscuits and jam, though.

Friendly service & a pretty good breakfast. Filling portions and good quality food. Hashbrown casserole was delish! We also enjoyed the biscuit basket with jelly samples. I wish the portions of jelly were a little larger it's hard to share and try multiple kinds with such a small amount but all of them were fabulous! We were seated outside in their covered patio. The plastic is not very secure so every time there was a breeze it got a lil chilly. The picnic tables are well loved and very low to the ground. Overall a pretty good spot for a casual breakfast!

It was extremely hard to hear the server inside. Because it is extremely small. The tables are very close together. So hopefully no one in your party is large.. if that is the case, it's better to eat outside. If it's not too cold. The food was absolutely fantastic. We'll definitely return. The bathroom was extremely small. XS lol just FYI

Came to Nashville for a quick getaway with my husband and when we got here we were starving, so I went Yelp to find something close with good reviews, and let me tell you, you guys did not lead me astray! This place!!!!!! The people were Super nice, we were there on a Sunday morning and it was pretty empty, and I have no idea why, the food was terrific, I enjoyed everything I tasted. It's setup like you're at your grandparents house in the south. Why are you still reading, go check it out!

I was in the area and looking for someplace to eat that was not a chain. Yelp never fails to recommend a great place, and this place did not disappoint!!!!! From the incredibly friendly and homey hospitality, to the delicious, fresh, and unique food options. My waitress did not rush me, and refilled my tea multiple times. My glass never went empty. She recommended the TN Hot Brown, and it was amazing. I will be back again!!!

Everything here was so good! We loved the environment and the food was so full of flavor and filling! Great service and friendly staff! We'll be back!

Wasn't as great as expected . Butter was not real . Those nasty foiled pats . The jelly they rave about was in a 2 ounce plastic portion control cup . They have nothing gluten free no sugar free products either . The grits were salty and disgusting to be honest . Ordered the vegetarian omelette . Was luck to have 6 sprinkles of feta on top not cooked in . I'm giving two stars for the ambience on rustic old world design . Service was mediocre at best .

Stopped by here while traveling to down for a business trip. Got the pimento and bacon omelet with grits. And boy am I glad that I picked grits, hands down these are the best grits I have ever had at a restaurant. I don't know what you do to them, but never stop. Service was great, food came out fast. Hope I get to come back.

Comfort food in a friendly and comfortable setting in East Iris studio neighborhood. Also near the airport. Peach Bellini and a two egg breakfast with grits and a biscuit was exactly what I needed after a night out in Nashville.

We were seated right away, and the service was fantastic! We kicked things off with a mimosa and then dove into the chorizo and shrimp smothered over a buttery, fluffy biscuit with a sunny-side-up egg--so good! We also tried the classic biscuit breakfast with eggs and sausage, plus their fried green tomatoes, which were crispy and delicious. And let me tell you, the mushrooms and gravy over biscuits are a must-try. Everything was packed with flavor--can't wait to go back! Thanks Tiffany you're the best!!

Happy that I stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant. Dine inside or out - food and service were superb. So many great options to choose from - Snuck a peak at the Stuffed French Toast and the PBJ Chicken Biscuit...OMG!

The first thing I noticed was the line, which was about 12 people deep and stretched very close to a busy road. I was thankful to have other adults with me because managing multiple young children in that situation would have felt stressful. My nephew was in a stroller, and we were glad he was. Parking was easy. We found a spot in the lot, and it looked like there was additional street parking nearby. The line moved fairly slowly, though once we ordered, the ice cream came out quickly. I was surprised that two kids' cones with one topping cost about $12. The kids' cones were enormous, easily 2-3x as much ice cream as I would normally give my children. Thankfully, I watched someone else's order before ours arrived and was able to remove some of the ice cream and put it into a separate cup for myself. I didn't notice any high chairs, although I wasn't specifically looking for them. The ice cream itself was good but fairly average. The highlight for me was the cute building and old-fashioned atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't the best fit for our family. Between the cost, oversized portions for young children, and the logistics of waiting in line near a busy road, there are other ice cream spots in the area that I would personally choose first...the product isn't worth the stress.

One of the coolest things we learned is that they'll press the sandwiches so the cookies are warm and gooey while the ice cream stays perfectly intact. Such a unique touch! I personally went with the dark chocolate ice cream topped with mini chocolate chips, and it was rich, decadent, and absolutely fabulous. Every bite felt like a chocolate lover's dream. It's long, it's inevitable, and trying to fight it is a rookie mistake. Because when ice cream is this profoundly good, crowds happen. Step two: Don't panic. The crew behind the counter operates with the high-speed efficiency of a pit crew, yet somehow maintains the absolute patience of saints while you undergo an existential crisis deciding on flavors. My personal blueprint for success was all about contrast. I engineered a double-scoop masterpiece: a heavy, deeply decadent, unapologetic chocolate base, perfectly countered by a lighter, delicate second scoop to balance the universe. It was an elite flavor pivot. Delicious doesn't even cover it. Meanwhile, my wife absolutely devoured her fruit-forward flavors with a speed that felt slightly competitive. Total sensory overload in the best way possible. I'm giving this place a flawless five stars, mostly because I have to, but also because I am currently stalking the freezer aisle of my local Publix like a person possessed, trying to hunt down pints to replicate this high until I can get back to Nashville.
