Great concept ! I've been there three times and each time it hasn't gotten any better . First time , sat down and it took over a half hour to get a beer . The food finally came and it was terrible . Burger was dry and the onion rings tasted like deep fried flour . Second time we made it in the door and were told , we would have to wait up to 45 minutes . Strange seeing how there were open tables in side and on the patio . When I asked , I was told the kitchen was behind and no one could be seated until further notice . Feel free to go to the bar and grab to a drink !! Just what a party of 8 wants to do , plus I'm sure the people sitting there would really enjoy us all standing around .The third time we got seated quickly and ordered quickly , then the food came . Mixed bag of tricks. Hubby's meal of smash burger and fries was excellent. My order of chicken tenders and sweet potato fries was unimpressive. Our biggest complaint was the service. Our server only checked on us once. He was hanging out with other servers talking and looking at his phone. We had to ask the VERY NICE bus boy for drink refills. Don't plan on going back. read more

Got there today with a bunch of car guys and the experience was awful. There were four of us at the table and did not get our food until many of the guys had finished their food and paid their bill. Our waiter was terrible and rarely checked with us at our table. All four of us will never come back here because of the poor service and poor food preparations. It all started when the hostess had negative personality as she was sitting us and I would like to note that it wasn't busy. When we got to our table it took longer than expected to order and receive our drinks. Ordering our food was flawless until the food got to the table and my girlfriend's onion rings were raw. Came in at 9:30 on a Friday, Apple Maps says they're open until 11pm, we get there and the door says they close at 10pm. We ask the host when they close and she said the kitchen was open for another 15 minutes so we were good. We were sat on the patio, and waited for 10 minutes? Before our server greeted us. Server took our drink and food order at once because now the kitchen would be closing in a few minutes. Somehow took her multiple minutes to ring in a beer on the little tablet thing, then it "didn't go through", leaving 1 out of the 3 of us without a drink, she checked in once the appetizers came out and realized we were missing a beer so she corrected it. It still sat waiting to be picked up for way too long, considering it was 7 feet away from our table. Anywho, we ordered the chicken tender appetizer and the loaded potato skins, they were decent but overpriced considering the chicken tenders are definitely from frozen. I got the mac and cheese bacon smashburger and my friend got the green chile smashburger. My burger was probably the furthest thing from smashed. It was DRY, cold, thick, and flavorless. It hurt to swallow. The Mac and cheese was cold and bland, at least the bacon was crispy and decent. The fries were surprisingly good (kinda hard to mess up fries). We were never offered another drink, and were barely checked on at all. Our server was slurring her words?? And just seemed very 'off', like she had never done this before. It was surprisingly full of workers, considering they were closing in less than 15 minutes, and not a single one of them were actually doing anything at all. The owner was there and seemed to have at least 2 beers within the less than hour we were there. Ate here when it first opened, and we were somewhat disappointed. The fried app was soggy and not very good, the pork belly was ok, but some pieces were overcooked, and they weren't cut evenly. The prime rib sandwich was ok but there was more bread than meat. Went back last week and it was quite a bit better. The fried app plate was better, and the sandwich had more meat than bread, and was better tasting than the first time. The service both times was exceptional and the management was more receptive to problems. Looking forward to going back when they have their full menu. read more

Had a great meal there tonight. Wings and a salad. Rest of the table had the fish and chips. Bbq shrimp and the Italian meat sub. Everyone loved their meal. Lexy was our server she was great! We like to sit at the bar, and all of the servers are always so nice. We love all the tv's and the ability to watch so many sports events. We hope they keep the shrimp on the menu for a long time! Food was amazing from the appetizer to entree. Bartender was very nice and personable, atmosphere was great as well. Huge patio, bar seating inside and out, a lot of tvs. Drinks are a bit pricey but the food was well worth having a couple beers. Will definitely be back! The best burger I've ever eaten was at this place. Great environment. Service is quick and attentive. Way better than robots! The burger I got was the Southwest. I wasn't a fan of the PB & J burger. Better than average sports bar with well prepared food--but can vary depending on the customer load. So far have enjoyed the flatbread Margarhita (sic) dish, BLT, ham/cheese and french dips, burgers---all excellent. Crispy onion rings most of the time, but fries are greasy. The Frog is a welcome replacement for Augies, which was not a sports bar. Senior staff seems very intent on developing a site for everyone and they do a good job. Less experienced wait staff need training on how to succeed in the hospitality business as evidenced by other reviewers---sloppy dress, inattention to the customer, lack of bar/serving knowledge and sometimes surly attitudes---they don't seem to understand that their tips are based on service. We have visited the Frog about 10 times in the last three months and hope they succeed. read more

My son and I came by on a late afternoon on Sunday to have an early dinner. We were able to be seated right away, it wasn't that crowded. We sat on the patio, the hostess sat us near the heater, it was nice till I started eating my hot food, then I started getting a little too hot being near the heater. lol I'm told they're known for their burgers, they were good but a little heavy on the greasy side. I tried the mushroom burger with like a truffle sauce I think, it was good but needed more flavor cause it taste like a burger with mushrooms. lol The fries were really filling, my son ordered from the kids meal and the portions were pretty much the same compared to adult meal so I was happy there. We were both full after our meal. The prices are not that bad for 2 sodas and 2 burgers with fries. I feel like I got my moneys worth here! Overrated. Other reviews give the food at the Fat Frog a 5 on a scale of 1 to 5 but I find it no higher than a 3. There are other better pub food restaurants in Prescott including Lazy G and Park Plaza Deli. I ordered Fish and Chips and the fish was breaded and tasted like it came out of a frozen food box. No beer battered. Fries were potato wedges. Wife had a quesadilla but not much you can do to mess that up. I was charged for an extra order of tarter sauce and not informed of that up front when I ordered. In addition the server did not bring a printed copy of my bill but stood there with his hand computer and told me the bill total. I had to ask for a printed copy after I paid him. I cannot stand restaurants that do that. On a positive note I will give the restaurant a 4 out of 5 for both atmosphere and service. read more

It's just ok. I've been twice now and it's just ok. The staff are very nice. The all around decor is cool, especially if you are a sports person... the amount of TVs they have is insane. The food is lacking something. I had a burger that was jammed packed with thin onions that I think were supposed to be grilled... they were not and I really just felt like my burger had hair in it. Then I had the southwest and it was better but the buns are not made for the smash burger, the buns fall apart too fast leaving you with a mess halfway through the burger. The menu is not consistent. There is stuff on the website that is not on the menu in house and stuff on the in house menu that they don't t carry. And the online prices are way below what is on the actual menu so that was a bit off putting. Overall... like I said... it's just ok. read more

First time at The Fat Frog after a movie yesterday. Ambiance was cool, lot of TV's, nice open floor plan and great patio with shades and misters. Despite it being a hot day, was very comfortable. Service was good. Food on the other hand was a bit blah. My wife ordered a grilled Caesar and the lettuce was wilted. They brought out another (without any pushback) but sadly the dressing really didn't have much flavor. Asked if they had anchovies and they did not. I had the southwest smashburger and again, the chile really had no flavor. Cost for salad was $13 and burger $18. Best part of the deal was domestic draft beer was $5 a pint. read more

45 of our AzMtn PCA club had our 7 th anniversary event in the back room tonight. We were the first event since they opened 5 weeks ago and Damian,Shanda and our 2 servers knocked it out of the park. We had cocktails first and our food orders arrived in 15-20 minutes and were enjoyed by all. We ordered off the menu and had individual checks with no issues. Time to leave this review. I've been to The Fat Frog multiple times. It's fine for watching sports, lots of TV's. Service is spotty. You can sit at the bar and be completely ignored at times. The big fail though is the food, it just isn't good. I've had a couple of the sliders, very dry and tasteless. Hamburger just okay. Appetizers nothing to shout about. I always come away wondering why I ordered any of the food. I don't understand the reviews that say great food. Have those people ever had truly good food? read more

We tried this for the first time today. Our server Sondra was amazing! We definitely need more servers like her, very friendly and on point. Service was great and my husband and I had salads but love how they change it up on them, Sun dried tomatoes in a Cesar and banana peppers in a Cobb! Love it! Dressings were unique and tasty as well. I've tried 4 times now since it is convenient rather than driving downtown. The burgers are glorified 5 guys at substantially more $. The french dip is not bad, but not nearly as good as LZG. The chicken tenders are fake (pressed). Cane's is 5 times better at half the cost. But...I just had the fish and chips. OMG. 2 scrawny pieces of lord knows what kind of fish, one of them was actually chewy (undercooked I guess) but when you peel off the breading (they look exactly like the chicken tenders BTW), there is literally almost nothing there. Based on the taste, maybe a tiny portion was actually a favor. read more
