My friend and I go often because we like the food offerings and the wait staff has been pleasant. We like the quiet and the beautiful view. So we decided to do the Mother's Day Brunch on May 10, 2026. The flyer specifically said Chef's Carving Station for tri-tip and turkey breast. $35/person. This was the worst "buffet" I have ever encountered. There were no carving stations. The "tri-tip" and turkey were dried out pre-sliced sitting in a heat tray and were completely inedible. The tri-tip was like bootsoles with gristle. The fruit was mediocre, the beautiful looking breads and pastries were so dry and crisp from being exposed to the air that they were like day old bread. These things needed to be covered. The scrambled eggs were good, and the ingredients provided to make parfaits. To top it off, they automatically added a tip to our bills, even though we were only two people. We always tip well, but this was a buffet and no one was serving. I will never go back to another special meal there. I am disappointed to the core because this was a favorite place, and a terrible Mother's Day experience. read more

Our sever was awesome! He said the soups, and dressings are all made in house. Every time we come we get one of the burgers and they are aways cooked to perfection. The outdoor patio has an amazing view. Heated lamps and also fans and screens for afternoon happy hour. It's our go to when we want some good food and patio seating. read more

Called for a pick up order. They ran out of large pizzas and said they could do two regulars for the same price of a large. Ok. I called back 10 minutes later realizing that 2 regular pizzas would only be 2/3rds a large. They agreed to accommodate me and provide a discount for the remainder. When I got there a "manager" came up to me and literally said "Go get your pizzas somewhere else. I just wanted you to come in so I could chew you out in person" and proceeded to berate, harass, and curse at me about never telling them "to do the math" again. I was in disbelief and just hungry. I never said to do the math, I just explained how two regular pizzas was 2/3rds a large and somehow that set this guy off to become a seething lunatic. Yelling at me in front of customers for just trying to pick up the pizzas I ordered. Yelling, "Never come back or else!" The food itself is overpriced and mediocre with small portions. Great Fish fry Friday meal. We have gone twice now for their Friday fish fry and have enjoyed it both times. We get the shrimp and fish combo. It is very good, always cooked perfectly and the shrimp are huge and tender. We have gotten the clam chowder as well and it was very good. The waitress we had was wonderful. She is always upbeat and super friendly and checks in even when she is really busy. I love having a nice friendly restaurant in the neighborhood. Can't wait to try their Prime Rib Saturday meal, it looks and sounds great. read more

We finally tried our local Country Club for dinner after living here for 6 months and we were very happy with the experience. The food was excellent and good value for the money. The drinks were good as well. We have had multiple meals here and they have all been good. The wait staff is pleasant and efficient even when there are issues (they were short kitchen staff one night, but we never felt that we weren't taken care of). As far as the bar and patrons, I have always felt welcome there. read more

Saw the post on Facebook they had $12.95 ribeye steaks, bakers, vegi's and salad, decided to check it out, I was impressed, the steak was done perfect at medium rare and very tender, potatoes we baked perfectly and the blue cheese dressing on the salad was excellent, the carrots that came with the meal were done good, but would have liked to have seen them grilled. All said it was a great meal for $12.95, if I was a PCC resident I would definitely check it out and support my local restaurant so they flourish and come up with more great specials. Also, they have a Page Springs Red Blend for only $19.95.......that's a deal. I don't usually write reviews but thought I should warn others before they spend top dollar for nursing home style food. We went for the Easter Brunch. 1) coffee was watered down, BLAND! 2) everything was COLD 3) no toast, biscuits, or homefrys 4) sausage patties were the frozen microwaved type, not browned at all. 5) meats were hockey puck size and didn't see any veggie sides..? 6) Omelettes made to order.....well this was the clincher, - 4, maybe 5" long -Dense, hard compacted, and browned on both sides..? Im sorry but any 'real' cook knows an omelette is light and fluffy, eggs should never be browned, and generally made with 2 eggs, unless your feeding children. Never again, just glad I found out before I have visitors coming from NY. Where they are used to the best food worldwide, made by real 'chefs'. read more

A friend told us to try the new and improved version of the Prescott Country Club restaurant, now known as the Redwood Inn. We were impressed with the food that we had for lunch. The tomato bisque was delicious and the House Chop Salad was huge with lots of goodies, including crumbled blue cheese. We'll definitely be back. Great prices and wonderful presentation. Went for lunch on St. Patrick's day. Ordered cornbeef and cabbage. Waiter told us the cornbeef was not ready. We waited for 20+ minutes and the waiter served our meal. It was absolutely disgusting. The cornbeef was very undercooked, as was the cabbage. The waiter was very nice. read more

We tried this place for the first time this evening and, unfortunately, were less than impressed. We ordered salads to go, one full size and the other a half portion. We were suspicious of very small portions as the bag was very light. The full size portion only filled 2/3 of the container, and the half-size filled about a quarter. We live in the community and decided to try out Redwoods Grill. We asked the waitress what she would recommend since we had never been. She stated that their Alfredo was delicious and homemade by her mother. Even though I'm not really a person that loves Alfredo I decided to try it. And let me just say I'm glad I did! We are residents of Prescott Golf & Country Club and have frequently visited the restaurant, formerly JJ's but now Redwoods Grill under new management. The few times we have been to Redwoods Grill since new ownership there has been a turnover in staff and they all seem stressed and disorganized. Our take out orders have been wrong once we got them home. Last night we went for dinner with our son and arrived before 5pm. We stood in the lobby for almost 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us to seat us (per the sign at the entrance to wait to be seated). We were sat in the bar and told it was 5:02pm and the grill was closed. I offered to leave since we were there for dinner so she said "if we hurried" she could take our orders. We immediately ordered and she took my & my son's order and not my husband's. She rushed off and we asked the only other apparent employee there if she could take his order. She did, but refused to allow a modification to the order (no tomato, pickle, onion on a burger) when I had previously done the same and it was permitted 5 minutes earlier. Both of these incidents make me wonder if it was racially motivated or simply a rush or lack of training. Our appetizer arrived with our meals. We ordered "hot" wings as we have several times before, but there was a significant amount of cayan pepper added to the sauce, making them inedible for my son and I, and making my husband ill later. It is cause for concern, with the other incidents, that perhaps the cook did so intentionally. Needless to say, despite to convenient location and opportunity to meet others in our neighborhood, we won't be back. If you want to have food go well before 5pm and cross your fingers. read more

We had just moved into the Prescott CC in Sept 2019 from Mesa and when I asked about the country club restaurant I was told the food was good but service so so. Well I decided to take my son there last night finally and all I can say was the service was far from so so. We were met by Sara at the door to the bar and when I asked her if my son could go in there (he is only 12) she said yes it is the restaurant too. Then she said "I can see you are going to be trouble tonight"...with a smile on her face. Well, we sat down and my son ordered Nachos and I ordered the Rodeo burger, cooked medium rare, which most places won't do...it was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and the best tasting fries ever! My son's nachos had the cheese sauce like he likes and not the shredded cheddar cheese that hardly ever melts. Rachel was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful. She returned to our table several times and was always asking us if we needed anything. Sara and Rachel....two keepers for sure. One a side note....I told my wife about the place and my burger I had last night and she said let's go tonight (she was at a birthday party last night in Phoenix) so we went again tonight and this time John, the manager waited on us....he suggested different items and my wife had the beef stroganoff and John suggested the Prime Rib for me (I guess every Sat is prime rib night). But first, I started out with a cup of ham and bean soup (totally amazing), then came my 8oz prime rib, again, cooked to perfection at medium rare, and my son had nachos again! ABSOLUTELY SPLENDID MEAL AND SERVICE!!! We are bringing our relatives who live up here as well here next Sat night. I text them after our meal and told them that we definitely have to bring them here! This has now become one of our favorite places to eat. And, we are joining the club in Jan so club members get 15% off at the restaurant...so we will be eating here often! read more
