Popped in here and sat at the bar, Alex was working and served us. We had a wonderful experience it was absolutely great from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and quick. As for the food, everything was delicious. We ordered the pulled pork and the Beef on Weck. The pulled pork was incredibly flavorful and tender, but finding a spot that does a proper Beef on Weck out here is a real treat. The roast beef was spot on, and the salty caraway bun held up perfectly. Great atmosphere, top-notch service, and fantastic food. We will definitely be back! read more

We went last night for the Greek food. It's a little surprising, as the restaurant bills itself as an american grill, but they have by far, the best Greek food in town. There is an actual Greek restaurant on iron springs, and it sucks. Not going there again. It's decorated like the name, an American grill. Nothing super special, but it looks comfortable to hang at the bar with the local denizens. They have a few signature cocktails on the menu, and I had the bartender mix me up a martini, which was done properly. Our waitress was the bartender and she was friendly. We had spanakopita as an appetizer. I like that the tzatziki sauce was not so inundated with garlic that it overpowered anything else. I've had this happen on numerous occasions in other restaurants and I can't stand it. The chicken souvlaki was good. Nicely marinated, and flavorful and moist. The chicken gyros were pretty good. Our waitress clued me into something. She said to order them next time using the souvlaki meat. I will. They are also huge. I have the second one in my refrigerator for lunch today. I just couldn't eat both. All in all, a worthwhile place to return to for Greek food when I'm in the mood. I'll be back. read more

I used to enjoy Gurley Street Grill and their chicken pot pies. However, things have changed over the past few years, and the quality of food and service is not what it once was. I ordered the chicken pot pie and the breaded crust was what I remembered, but the filling was thick, very bland, and even pepper couldn't make it taste good. There were hardly any vegetables and pieces of chicken in it. I miss the flavorful chicken pot pie from the past! read more

We've visited Gurley grill several times over the years that we've lived in Prescott. Overall the menu is diverse and service good. We met some friends for lunch this Sunday afternoon and didn't have a very good experience. It was not busy at all. We ordered drinks upon sitting down. I rarely have my ID with me when I'm with my husband since he takes care of things financially and is driving. The table ordered drinks and I ordered a glass of wine which was denied to me because I didn't have my driver license. I get it... but I'm 55, no where near a marginal age to legal drinking. Whatever.... I'll have an iced tea. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and no onions. Salad arrived with onions. My husband ordered a cob salad with chicken, no blue cheese, avocado on the side and ranch. While the salad had a beautiful presentation, it came with blue cheese, avocado wasn't on the side and no dressing at all. We didn't send the orders back- just picked out what we didn't like but did ask for dressing. We enjoyed visiting with our friends as that was our intention. Will we be back? Who knows. read more

St Patrick's Day. The service was incredibly slow. It took 1-1/2 hours to finally get our order which was not complicated. My wife and I shared a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. She had a coke and I had iced tea. I also ordered a side salad. The waitress virtually ignored us as she checked on the customers next to us three times but did not check on us once. It was more than 30 minutes to get my side salad. She did not offer us refills until I asked. When our food finally came we did not get an extra plate and had to wait some more for that. I did not stiff the waitress since the food issue is generally left up to the cook. When I was younger I was a cook and kitchen manager in restaurants. While the cook was responsible for the food quality and speed of service, the waitress was authorized to prompt the cook when he took too long. The tip could have been higher if the service hd been better. Very disappointing visit to Gurly's and we likely won't be back. read more

NEVER AGAIN! Four of us went in at lunch time. Restaurant was not busy, we were seated immediately. Took twenty minutes to bet drinks after ordering. Forty five minutes after ordering our food it had not arrived. I spoke to a.manager who explained they were.having a.problem with new staff and an issue with our order. Fifteen minutes later we decided to leave. I again asked to speak with the manager and got a different person who told me the origins person I spoke with was now helping cook! She deducted our $12.00 appetizer from our bill. My biggest complaint other than the delays is the fact that at no time did anyone stop by our table to apologize for the delays or offer any sort of compensation. After leaving we went to Red Robin in Prescott, the food and service was exceptional!! Gurley Street Grill will not last much longer. read more

I was in Prescott this weekend and really enjoyed dinner at the Grill! Our server, Tia, was delightful and the food was fantastic!

Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. My Husband ordered the Jamaican wings and loved them. We also got the fried zucchini and mushrooms they didn't disappoint at all. I ordered the Grilled cheese and fries but it was no average grilled cheese lots of different cheeses and pesto on it. Also the carrot cake was amazing. read more

Tessa was absolutely amazing but Unfortunately the food wasn't good, we went back the "steak bites" they were not chewable and tasted bad as well you pay $18 for 6 pieces of yucky "steak" it's a crappy crappy cut of meat very well without the option of how you want it cooked. It comes fried which didn't sound good so we got it "grilled". Mac n cheese was soup and bland and blahhhhhh would never order it again. Grilled cheese was burnt Beer was good and cold. Thanksgiving Dinner at Gurley St Grill turned out pretty decent. My son and I were originally going to go to Junction restaurant but it was an hour wait already(it was a little after 11 when we got there) so I decided to call Gurley St Grill and the lady said they have plenty of of seating, it's not busy at all. So I rushed down over and I'm so glad I did, although it wasn't busy the hostess people and manager had to stop giving seats to walk ins because they had been previously booked by other people. The manager gave me the huge booth by the window and said he can seat me if he thinks I'll be done by 1. It was 11:40 and we were done by 12:30. It worked out perfectly. My son and I got the turkey plate and they were BIG portions. My plate was $29 and my son received a smaller plate for $12, so not bad. The turkey and gravy were pretty good, not dry and the stuffing and mashed potatoes was okay, homemade version is always better but it was still good. The green beans, they could have flavored up those green beans like adding bacon bits or whatever, they were we just plain green beans. Then we each got a slice of pumpkin pie that we took home for later, it was good. I had a nice ipa from the draft and my son got a Shirley temple which he absolutely loved! His eyes lit up when he saw it!! Haha...what kid doesn't like a Shirley temple on Thanksgiving? Our waiter was so nice, friendly and prompt. Overall with the excellent customer service and ambiance of the store, huge Xmas tree, it was an enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner. I'll have to come back for a lunch meal sometime. read more

Went on Tuesday was not very impressed. One couple ahead of us who were acknowledged yet left for an extended period of time before seating. It was not that busy. Between the waitresses and bartender mulling around not one person greated us. ‍ We had a table reserved, our friends arrived and we were seated. The manager was focused on the kitchen staff with his back to the rest of the floor although later he did stop by our table. The stroganoff, fish and chips were enjoyed. The souvlaki, small PCs of chicken, not well marinated and dry, was simply plated with rice. Not a 20$ plate! Our waitresses was cordial but could use some coaching. We visited this spot for dinner tonight. We are from Phoenix and I actually have never been to Prescott before. I ordered the Cajun pasta and my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Service was pretty quick! My pasta came with grilled chicken breast. I thought the sauce was too salty for my taste but still edible. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich and sweet potato fries. This is a really nice,clean and comfortable place. Very welcoming, I met a buddy for lunch, was greeted by our waiter offered a beverage as we caught up. I had the Philly Steak which was excellent. My buddy had the Reuben and he really enjoyed it. The Manager stopped by twice asking if everything was good! You rarely encounter that level of concern from Management. I thought that the sandwich's were well priced and well prepared. If you're in downtown Prescott, AZ, I recommend that you stop by for a solid meal. read more

The good- sweetest server! It was her second night and she was working SO hard. The fair- meals were fine. Not great, but edible. The cocktails were tasty, but we were told the specialty cucumber drink was not available as they were out of cucumbers...except our Greek salad was full of cucumbers. Walked in and was seated quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a fairly calm night with a few groups sitting elsewhere. Ordered the green chili wontons which disappointed. Tasted like jalapeño poppers, but the wontons were almost completely empty with no cream cheese. It also felt a bit weird to dip them in mashed avocado. Our entrees were okay, but weren't amazing. It tasted fairly bland and a bit overcooked. After a few minutes of leaving, our stomachs started to hurt and cramp a lot. Had only been to G St. G once before many years ago. We weren't wowed. I thought, it'd been a long time, so i thought we should give it another go. Appreciated the $3 Happy Hour wine. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food? Hard pass. I had the Beef on Weck. It was seriously dry. It was like something that had been in the freezer for way too long. My husband had the Chipotle Burger which he didn't think was fresh. He thought it seemed like a Costco burger straight out of the freezer. He found it tasteless. It came with a small number of french fries. Probably enough fries with respect to how many a person needs, but it looked ridiculously small on the plate. I will be generous because we came here before & that's why we returned. My wife had the flatbread, it looked good & tasted well. Now, we showed up & it wasn't busy on a Sat. The table we were seated at was filthy, so I asked for a napkin to clean it. With no water, it turned brown. I then ordered the 'beef on weck'. Dry roast beef w/ a heavily garlic salted bun. It was a salt bomb! I tried to eat it w/out the top layer & couldn't. It literally absorbed all moisture from my body & I felt like no amount of water in existence would help. Dined here for the first time, this past Wednesday night. First of all, service was excellent. Sadly, the food fell short. The wings were very good, but our gyros were terrible. The Tzatziki was good, but the meat was poor. Not only was it meager, but it was dry and overcooked, almost as if it was the bottom of the spinning rotisserie thing (not sure if that's how they do it here, but you get the idea). The Gurley street grill is in the heart of old town Prescott and in an older building. As such it has a great atmosphere commensurate with this wonderful home town. With its horseshoe or "U" shaped bar to its plentiful booths and large back room or one of the upstairs airs rooms there's ample seating for all. The staff always seem pleasant and more then helpful. A group of 14 of us stopped by for a drink and light appetizers to some with meals. Our drinks and food came out quickly and everyone was happy. We had for sharing their Louisiana hot bone in wings which were crunchy on the outside and plenty of a Tabasco based sauce braised on them. We had ranch dressing but blue cheese is available. We ordered their calamari that were cooked very good and seasoned well. And there fried onion rings which were top notch. Drinks were all great. We were located in the ground floor large banquet room in the back which is very roomy and pleasant. Though it was after dark and we've been having some cool evening weather so a light jacket was needed for some. Great place and I recommend them. read more

What a wonderful experience! We had a work party of about 15 people. I called in the week before to make the reservation. They booked us in a private room upstairs which was perfect because it turns out, we were a loud wild bunch. We had two servers handling the room and they were on point! I can't thank Gurley Street Grill enough for their wonderful service, delicious food, tasty drinks, and professionalism dealing with a large party.
