The last time I came here I was thoroughly disappointed. They were closed! How dare they restrict access to such great foods to such a small 9 hour window, daily. Minutes away from work means I am able to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the lamb gyro. Well, it's about 12 hours after I ate lunch here, and I'm throwing up falafel. My stomach felt full all day after only eating about 3 of them. I knew something was wrong when I first started eating them because they tasted weirdly burned. My stomach is still so sour and upset. I ordered the lamb burger combo which came out to roughly $15. Moving on with my review, I found the food was great! For starters, although the fries were your frozen standard fair, they were surprisingly crispy, and I really loved the greek herbed seasoning! For the burger, it was surprisingly bigger than I expected, had been very tender, and had a delicious spice blend! I found though, the burger would've been a knock out of the park (5/5) if it possessed more tazikki sauce as the inside of my sandwhich was kinda dry. I ordered the lamb gyro combo - it is without a doubt one of the best gyros I've ever had! The meat was moist and delicious, and the tzatziki sauce was spot on. The fries were a nice surprise - they were seasoned with rosemary and other spices/herbs and were fresh and fantastic. This was my first visit to this restaurant, I did enjoy the lamb gyro and fries. Apparently I received the limited edition thin crispy ones a style I prefer, because on my second visit I was told they were not the standard style they use :( . Regardless, the standard steak style was ok, the gyro was good as well but would have been better if they put a bit more sauce and cheese in the wrap. I ordered a skirt steak wrap. I ordered it medium rare and it came back as ordered. The steak was delicious. The rest of the ingredients were a bit lackluster. I had to search to find the meat. A far cry from my normal Greek place called Olympia on Colonial, where they give you a healthier portion of meat. I only eat meat some days of the week. I felt like I wasted a meat day here, haha. The fries had herbs and seasonings on them. Somehow the fries tasted under seasoned and over seasoned. They just weren't my cup of tea. My wife has the lamb burger. I was glad that it finally got a new owner and that it was mediterranean food! The food is good. I appreciate the big gyro spit in the back where they slice off the meat for your gyro sandwich. The falafel wrap is good as a vegetarian option. But I kinda wished that the falafel and fries were fried a bit more crispy. It would also be cool if you can sub the wrap and have the falafel in a pita instead. I like the greek seasoning on the fries though. And also I wish there was just a bit more tzaziki sauce. If you order extra sauce it's 50 cents. Overall, the price point is kinda expensive for essentially fast food. The place is clean. Everyone is really friendly. But service is still green and they are still figuring out their operations. But I'm glad there is a decent gyro and falafel spot close by. read more
