I am so glad I came here again. I visited a Sunday evening. It was a bit crowded, but a sign said I could sit myself anywhere. So I sat in the bar. A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. This is a very funky bar with loads of really cool album cover art all over the walls. It's DEFINATELY a sports bar with televisions in every direction...but the food is way better than most TV bars. We started with buffalo shrimp and were really surprised these were sauteed crispy and not just deep fried. The Buffalo sauce was light and tasty - and they don't fill you up like fried shrimp would! I had a great, big Smokehouse burger. The bacon was chewy and the barbecue sauce really took over...I would suggest getting that on the side. Still, it was a great flavor because the burger is made of short rib and brisket! That alone made the burger a real standout. My wife had the wing flight because she wanted to sample their flavors. We were not disappointed. She LOVED the cilantro spicy wing! The buffalo garlic ranch (yes, there's alot going on there, but it's great) was also very tasty. We shared a bowl of Anchored tater tots. That's buffalo, blue cheese and ranch all smothering the tasty tots!! - with more blue cheese crumbles on top. We had the crumbles and dressings on the side because I absolutely LOVE blue cheese and she can't stand it!! Even with all the great album covers on the walls, my wife found the ladies room had far rabbit pictures everywhere and had to share them! Overall, this was an excellent meal that cost just over $50. We recently found The Fat Rabbit Pub in Tampa Palms while my family and I were looking for somewhere new to try in an area we weren't very familiar with. It's located in a shopping center with a few other restaurants, including Cappy's Pizza and Don Julio's Mexican. We actually walked into all three to get a feel for them, and The Fat Rabbit was clearly the busiest and most popular of the bunch! The pub has a really cute, casual atmosphere with a big bar, lots of TVs for sports fans, and some cool band posters and décor on the walls. We sat ourselves and ordered a few drinks. They have a decent beer selection and a good variety of food options, and I thought the prices were pretty fair. The service was good and everyone was friendly. As for the food, though, I thought it was just okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out to me either. The exception was the tots -- those were definitely the highlight! They were super crispy and really well seasoned. Overall, I can see why The Fat Rabbit is popular. It's a fun, laid-back neighborhood pub with a good atmosphere, fair prices, and good service. The restaurant was clean and they have options for catering and can hold large parties if interested. Was really excited to try this place, they have outside seating, nice space outside but was very disappointed when the food came. I ordered a simple thing as a burger and fries. What I got were the soggiest but weirdly over cooked fries I have ever seen, so much so that the fry would just flop over, they literally couldn't keep their shape straight. You can see how shiny they were with all the oil. So disappointed, it's pub food and the fries were awful. Obviously weren't fried in the right temperature. If I was the owner of this establishment, I would never serve this to a customer. Needless to say, will never go back. read more

I've been to the Fat Rabbit Pub twice, and it was terrible both times. The food is lousy and the seating is poor. Mostly high chairs. A real insult to those of us under 5ft. Also, the arrangement of the seating was not conducive to mingling and socializing. read more

The fat rabbit has delicious burgers hands down...the best burgers in New Tampa and quite possibly all of Florida in general. If you want wings, also cant go wrong with ANY OF THE FLAVORS on the menu, it's why I personally love to order the flight so I can get pretty much 1 of everything I love. stopped by here after the uptown cheapskate thrift shop next door & im so glad i did! the drinks were all great! i got the thumper derby which was super refreshing. the thyme away is also a great choice. i tried the cloud 9 margaritas they offer with thc. really cool to try. i got the cuban sandwich with tater tots, so so good. but the star of everything i tried were the wings. my bf got the 5 wing flight to try the flavors and every single one was incredible. we tried buffalo garlic, fat rabbit (the best one), blackened, honey garlic, & sriracha dry rub. all of them were great but the fat rabbit really stood out as something i've never had before. server was amazing, food came out fast & hot. such a great place to eat at & when im back in tampa i will definitely be here again! read more

The location is very well maintained. They had great table tops and a variety of liquor options. My husband was very pleased with their bourbon selection. Our waitress was very friendly and her service was excellent. The food and drinks were tasty. The seasoned fries were delicious. We tried the smoked house burger, the adult grilled cheese, and the short rib rice bowl. Everyone was pleased with the food. We chose this spot on the way to Busch gardens and it did not disappoint! It's a little hole in the wall, and it does get loud, but we were sat immediately. Our server was fantastic and had a lot of good recommendations for us. My husband got one of their old fashioned and I got a floral gin drink. Both were delicious. My son and I split the pretzel with beer cheese. We both loved it. My husband got 10 wings; I tried one and I think it was the best garlic parm wing I've had in a really long time! What a great spot, I had never heard about it but the fat rabbit pub will definitely be a new favorite. The wings are huge and have many unique flavors. My favorite were the sriracha dry rub but the fat rabbit sauce was also very good, it almost tasted like sofrita. The Daytona and blacked were also good options. The ranch and blue cheese seemed homemade and were great for dipping. The loaded fries were definitely shareable, but very tasty. The fries remained crispy despite all the toppings. Worst salad I've ever had. My Caesar salad was chunks of brown lettuce with burnt dry chicken on top. That's it. My friend ordered Cobb salad with grilled chicken & she was given blackened chicken. It was a to go order & we didn't check the order at pickup. Big mistake. We took the salads into a meeting & everyone at our table commented on how bad the salads looked. Best part, was the unexpected live tv coverage of a baseball game I wanted to see. As an appetizer, We ordered a 10 pc Sriracha dry rub wings and they were EXCELLENT!! We then ordered 2 burgers and a basket of tots. We ordered our burgers Medium, which should be a hot pink, but we got well done-see picture. Also, our tots came out warm and when I told our server, she took them back and brought back a basket of hot ones (I am not 100% sure if they were the original tots that we were served and they were reheated or if they were fresh ones?) The food was pretty good for a "pub" establishment. I got what was essentially a French dip sandwich which was basic (just meat & cheese on Cuban bread) but everything tasted good. I could have gotten peppers added but I forgot to ask and the waitress didn't ask if I wanted them. It is typical pub atmosphere and we were able to get a table without waiting even though it was Valentine's Day. The cost for 3 meals with tip was just under $100 ... a little high but not ridiculous these days. read more

Before going to Don Julio's next-door, I did give fat rabbit a shot today. I told the server I have an egg allergy. He brought out their standard venue, but could not really offer any advice except that most things don't have egg. Honestly, I'm so sick of burgers or chicken over salad I decided that I might want to actually have a real sandwich today. Today is my cheat day. This restaurant could not accommodate my food, allergies. The server who was also tending bar was super super super nice. When he told me that the manager had gone home for the day and they weren't sure of the ingredients in any of their bread, products, to me that is a signal that the kitchen is not aware of the ingredients of the items they are working with. This is not good. Also, I noticed one of the employees pour herself a small beer behind the bar and drink it while they were working. Now, perhaps they were checking the quality of the beer out of the tap. However, I tend to think that they just wanted a little bit of beer. If I owned a bar, I would never allow any of my employees to drink on the job at all. Also it could be a safety issue. I've had some really good meals here in the past -- I may return one day. Regardless, I think that management should take a good look at the behavior of their employees and the knowledge of their kitchen staff regarding food, allergies, a little bit more closely. read more

I have had both good and bad experiences at Fat Rabbit. Overall though they have very good food and always great beer choices. I love their blue cheese burger and the wings are always on point. We ordered a 25 piece wing to share and we asked for the Daytona flavored which was supposed to be mild. But once our order arrived I could smell that they were spicy. I decided to try one because the waitress stated "they are not spicy" and it was just the opposite. My mouth, lips and tongue was on fire and I immediately stopped eating as well as one of the other parties in my group. He also can't eat spicy foods. Our wives however like spicy foods and once they tasted them, they agreed that the wings were very hot. I began feeling ill and I began sucking down cokes. My friend began turning red and he drank two glasses of water. When our server came back to the table we informed her that the wings were very spicy and that there might have been a mistake made. She replaced the wings with the right flavor and by the time they arrived I was too sick to eat them. But everyone at the table agreed that the replacements were much better. The customer service was good and she was very apologetic about the mixup. I would suggest this place if you like wings read more
