First time customer and found the atmosphere to be similar to other craft beer places. There was a variety of beers, but I honestly struggled finding one to my liking. You place your drink and food order at the bar. They give you your drink and then deliver the food to your table. I settled on the German beer, whose name I can't remember, but I wasn't thrilled with it. For food, I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with a side of the beer cheese Mac and cheese. First time at Coppertail Brewery in Tampa and it was a great experience. The place looks really cool from the outside, and even though it was lunchtime so the upstairs wasn't open yet, it definitely looks like a cool area to hang out when it is. I had the Florida Special lager and it was great, nice and crisp. For food, the smoked wings were on point. We also shared the brisket tacos and the mac and cheese, and both were awesome. The brisket in the tacos was fire, and my wife couldn't stop eating the mac and cheese even after we were completely full. Back to back business meeting and again amazing food! No drinks this time but I'd did notice a few more cider options this time around. So maybe next time! Ordered the smoked meat loaf and this was amazing! The corn was flavorful with a light charred to them, mashed potatoes were creamy and soft. But the meat loaf was fantastic, light and fluffy with a very unique sauce. The second day had the smoked wings and all the same! Great flavor, great size but the ranch was something different? It was really good and I might need to get a side salad next time with that on top of it. Super light but great flavor. But still great service and food all the same! Coppertail has an excellent selection of food and drinks. Freedive is one of my favorite drinks here. The food has always impressed me and the beer cheese mac was delicious. The smash burger was also super tasty! The service is straightforward, you order everything at the bar and then food gets delivered to your table. They are always friendly and service is quick. The inside is nice and well themed. A great place to sit and catch up with friends, for a casual date or for a quick Saturday bite. I have also had work events here as they rent out the upper floor for private parties and it is a great venue for that as well. Their catered food is delicious. read more

What a great place for a private party! One of my-coworkers was retiring and his wife rented out the top floor. It was so nice! Roomy-with so many seating and table options-and its own bar. And there was a long table with a fabulous food spread set up (chafing dishes). I was thoroughly impressed with the set-up and the atmosphere. I can't comment on the food, since I was chatting all night with people and never ate-but the Chardonnay hit the spot. (I know-I was one drinking wine at a brewing place) The decor was rustic/industrial with a sense of humor. It looked like there was lots of space downstairs as well, with a large merch section. There's a private parking lot but since this was Saturday night, it was full. Grant at the valet stand was so friendly, polite and efficient. He made my whole night. Great service and people always set a place apart-and he definitely does that here. I'm eager to go back and try the food. If I ever had to organize a big party, I think I'd do it here. The good: it's in a nice location right off the expressway, near IKEA. They have their own private parking lot with plenty of spaces with some street parking nearby. They've been brewing great craft beers for a long time now, so there's no denying the quality of the beverages for sure. The building itself is large, along with upstairs seating (when open), a spacious bar, space for guests to wait to take a tour of the brewery and a nice sized gift shop, along with take out coolers of their own brews for sale. QR Code menus for both drinks and food, so walk up to the bar once you're ready. Bartenders were nice enough and quick, they'll give you a table number so food runners will bring you the correct order. The deltas: inside has very high ceilings and it feels like a warehouse with the concrete floors and lots of metal everywhere. So, when this place is busy, it's not just loud, it's almost unbearable due to all the talking and loud music. There were just a few spots to get away from the noise tucked in the back with a view of the brewery and some old leather couches that weren't very comfortable. All the tables felt very dirty and sticky as well, and we didn't notice the food runners wiping down any tables when people got up and left. It showed on the table we were using. The food was ok for the price you pay. A house salad with some smoked chicken for 18 bucks is a lot for the amount of food paid. The GF bun was pretty stale for the black bean smash burger that lacked flavor. Waffle fries were over-fried but edible. Pickled veggies were good, but be careful with the whole cloves of garlic! read more

The sours were phenomenal and the gift shop was cute. Can't really say too much about the service since it's a walk up counter and we sat outside most of the time. We had ordered the wings and steak tacos. Both were okay. Nothing to write home about literally. The wings were literally dried to a crisp and so tough and the tacos don't pack much meat mostly vegetables/slaw. So it was very light. Makes you wish it came with a side which is why i typically lean towards sandwiches and burgers. Something i know usually comes with sides. But my husband picked out both the things. I've lived in Tampa for years and of course have heard of Coppertail, but I'd never set foot in here until now. The wife and I stopped by on a whim, to grab some beer. Lo and behold, they happened to have a very enticing food menu, so we decided to stick around for some appetizers. The staff was friendly enough. Answered all our questions, gave us samples. The decor was just plain cool. Industrial. Black and copper everywhere. Lots of art that's familiar of you've seen their packaging. Very cool vibe. We sat at the bar and then at the corner couch. Very comfortable experience. The food was excellent. We had the Brisket Rangoon which was unexpected and delicious. Then we had the Lamb Tacos. Very tasty. Every seasoned perfectly and very well cooked. I had the ghost pepper beer and if you're a fan of spice like I am, you'll love that thing! Also had the Cryptid. Very dark, chocolaty, very good stout. I've had Coppertail quite a few times but first time visiting the brewery. The brewery is spacious but we did have a bit of a wait at the bar to order drinks. On my road trippin, I saw the huge blue building of the Coppertail Brewery in Ybor. Brewerys are fun and each has there own character. This one offers 2 levels and a great menu of food to accommodate your beer flights. The brewery has a state-of-the-art 50 barrel Rolec brewhouse which has 2,000 barrels of fermentation space with tanks ranging from 7 barrels to 250 barrels for their on premise handcrafted brewing. Lots of seatting areas and a huge big screen for those fav sports games of the hour. My fave was the Cold IPA Hop Quest from my IPA flight.It is sold in to go packs to enjoy later also. They had lots of staff to make sure your service was prompt was friendly. They do offer tours a few times a day and have a event space. Good tasting room, family friendly including the dogs. read more

It had been about a year since we had been back to this location and we really enjoyed our experience. This time we chose to sit at the bar which we definitely think is a better fit for us versus sitting at a table. Our bar tender was absolutely adorable. She was super sweet, very friendly, and we adored her pink hair! She truly made our experience there hundred percent better! I did not know that they do their own hard cider and was ecstatic that they had so many to choose from. I did a cider flight and really loved all of their ciders, although I think fallen fruit was probably my favorite. We also got an order of chicken wings and they were very crispy. Although the dry rub was very light. We would've loved to have more flavor from the dry rub on the chicken wings but overall we found they were tasty. I got the brisket rangoon and I'll be honest I was slightly disappointed as there really wasn't a whole lot of brisket in it. It was more cream cheese than anything. Our favorite overall brewery in Tampa, and the Tampa Bay area. They have the iconic Free Dive IPA, but my personal favorites in addition to that are the Coral and Hop Quest. They also have the undisputed best wings in the area. The smoked chicken wings are a reason to keep on returning. Oh... the absolute best pretzel in the region as well... Service is as nice as it gets at a brewery, so something to look forward to. We love the setting, it's got an outdoor area for those Florida Winter days and indoor for Summer. Came here for a work function which included lunch and beer tour with tasting. The food served was the mac and cheese along with pulled chicken and I also got a piece of the Cuban bread. The Mac and cheese was absolutely DELICIOUS! I had 2 helpings of that stuff. Then when they said there was packaged leftovers for people to take, don't ya know that this girl took that home! Yup no guilt here lol. The chicken had such a nice flavor. Great seasoning and tender. The tour can with 2 samples while on the tour and then a flight once we got back to the tasting room. I am not a beer fan whatsoever so I was not intrigued for the tasting. They did have some wine (not produced by them) that I opted for. Got me a glass of Riesling and I was happy. Also has smash burger with beer Mac n cheese. Might as well go all out, right? Burger was juicy, great toppings with bacon, cheese and lettuce. No need for additional condiment as the sauce is just right. Mac n cheese was rather tasty. I am a fan of strong cheeses so it did tasty a little light on the extra sharp cheddar or any other aged cheese. All in all well recommended. Give it a shot. read more

The service was quick. I tried their Kühler (Kolsch) beer and it was good, light and crisp. For an appetizer, we shared their giant pretzel with beer cheese, it was delicious, definitely enough to share between 2-4 people. For my entree, I tried their BBQ Crunch Wrap, it was really good. The food paired perfectly with beer. The portions are large, we took home leftovers. The ambiance was nice, it wasn't too crowded and it's nice and clean on the inside. The patties weren't very smashed. They didn't have the crispy bits that you would expect. They served it literally with lettuce sauce and meat and cheese. It should've had pickle onion tomato. The seasoned store-bought Chris cut fries were warm at best. Keep in mind this place is advertise as a Gastropub. My wife had the pulled chicken. It was a bun with coleslaw and sliced smoked chicken. It definitely needed a sauce. When you're paying upwards of $25 a plate they need to do better. I'll give them another chance. Maybe it was a bad day. read more

We always have a great time at Coppertail! The atmosphere, draft beer and food selections are exceptional! The staff is attentive and friendly. We have visited a few times and our experience gets better each time. The first time the weather was cool enough to enjoy one of their outdoor tables; we had one of their refreshing IPAs by the name of Winston; since we have tried a few others, with Night Swim stout being one of our favorite. They introduce new brews seasonal but there are a few which are constant in their menu. Their food selections are awesome too! The Fish Dip is amazing, Buffalo Cauliflower is not bad either! We were looking for a place to meet a few friends. We decided to try Coppertail Brewing Company. We are glad we did. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice day. One of the couples brought their dog. There were actually quite a few dogs there and the staff offer them bowls of water. They are very dog friendly. The staff was very friendly and the service was efficient. We arrived early and parked ourselves. They do have valet parking as well. There is a very good selection of beers and they offer some ciders and wine as well. We hosted an after-hours event for ~100 people at the Brewery during a conference. The staff was amazing to work with, assisting us in choosing the menu, room set-up, pricing, and even let me borrow a laptop for a slideshow when I forgot mine! The venue had a great atmosphere with plenty of space for not only the buffet, but tables for a raffle/silent auction, outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating as well. The bartenders were fantastic and all the beer was really great. (The porter being a personal favorite, was delicious!) Coppertail was the first stop in a Tampa brewery tour day, and the fact that they have a great food menu was a plus. The space was very open with plenty of seating. We sat at the bar and had friendly and attentive service, and then eventually moved out to the patio which was a great outdoor space to enjoy the lovely November Florida weather. It was a Saturday afternoon and just finished a tour of IKEA, dang...their dining area was mobbed and even the hot dog stand was a wait. Got in the car and went to maps, low and behold just feet away was this place, thank god. It was tough getting parking but did. Walking in through the front doors and your greeted with a view of the brewing vats (see pics). The place was at capacity and open tables were hard to find, inside. We were able to get two seats at the bar. Better yet. Quick to order, quick to serve. I had the Cloud Dweller, wife ordered the Florida Special. Hers was an american lager, lighter. Dweller is a hazy IPA. I ordered the burger and wife Nashville chicken and she is from Nashville and says of all the places down here that claim to have NC, this has been the best so far.
