Classic 50's coffee shop ambiance, good menu selections, friendly service. Coffee is average, certainly drinkable straight up black, but I opted to add some skim 'cause I was in the mood for a treat. (2nd time here, coffee was very good.) Good was very good -- my companion enjoyed the french toast and home fries. I enjoyed my tomato and spinach omelette and rye toast. I liked it enough that I'm actually writing this while eating breakfast here two days later.

The chicken parmigiana was very good, but had less flavor than I would like personally. I would eat here again 5/10! Our service was excellent. Casual dining, a place to take friends!

Wait I am so shocked that I discovered a favorite breakfast spot in ues? when you walk it in its peaceful, no music at all which I love, and not busy at all. Had a lovely diner breakfast on a friday morning w great service. You can get hot coffee almost immediately and a shot of fresh OJ! The OJ was a really nice touch. tasted freshly squeezed!(although not sure) I got the Irish breakfast platter(?) and it was just the way I would have hoped them cook, no oil dripping, clean cooking, and perfect proportion for a hungry girl. It does come w toast on the side which I did not get. I'd definitely get this again a couple times more before I try something else.

Best diner in the neighborhood. Not fancy or anything but yummy food. Just got a waffle & side of bacon delivered. Fast delivery. Waffle is amazing- perfectly crisp but soft and delicious. I've had the turkey club several times. It's good and usually not busy to dine in. Most reasonably priced in Yorkville!

Perfect spot to have a park view while enjoying a good ol' bagel and smoked salmon sandwich! Our server helped us decide on the smoked salmon, it is served with a side of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and onion slices and olives. Breakfast is served with a side of orange juice.

TLDR: flavorless food in small portions I ended up going here because a lot of the previous reviews had mentioned that the portions were big- well safe to say for my meal, that wasn't particularly true. I got the spare ribs special (14$) while my friend got the half-roast chicken (14$). For my meal, it came with a side salad (which was perfectly average) and a side of sweet potato/spinach (that had zero seasoning whatsoever). On to the ribs, I was extremely disappointed- I was served only a quarter rack of ribs, and worst of all, they weren't tender and the sauce was painted on. In other words, the inside of the ribs had zero flavor and were hard to chew since they were not smoked. It was pretty obvious that whoever made these ribs tossed them plain in the baking oven and then painted on some barbecue sauce right before serving. And to make it even worse, the sauce they used looked and tasted more like ketchup than actual smoky barbecue sauce. Being completely honest, I probably could have made much better ribs myself or gone to Boston Market and gotten the exact same meal for much cheaper. Verdict: no reason to stop here unless you're craving cheap, mediocre American food

Live right next to 3 decker and finally got the chance to try em. One weekend i went and it was a beautiful day but oddly the only had 2 outdoor tables. Another time i popped in and it was closed (definitely spoiled by the 24 hr diners in the area). Today was a perfect day and they had tons of outdoor seating. The menu, like any other diner, was massive. I had the mexican omelette which featured fresh jalapeno, tomato and cheddar. It was a solid portion and the home fries were crisp. My buddy got the mexican style scrambled eggs with rice beans and tortilla. Also a massive stack of chocolate pancakes. Service was decent but honestly the prices here can't be beat. This is probably my new omelette spot .

It's clearly evident why the pancakes at the Gold Diner are famous, viral, and most talked about. My husband and I were obsessed with the lemon zest on the butter. I have never tasted a syrup like theirs before. It was fluffy and was giving a bit of mochi consistency (which I'm obsessed with mochi lol). Although the pancakes are the star of the show, the fried chicken is out of this world amazing too bursting with the greatest flavors. Enough about the food, service is straight up top notch! Everyone who works there is passionate about being a member of the Golden Diner. They work as fast and efficiently as possible to get everyone in their doors. The food here is expensive and overpriced for diner food, but you're in Times Square and this is a known tourist trap, so if you go in with the right expectations, you'll have a good time. I got the Be Bop a Lula Burger which came with mushrooms, onions, and bacon and it was a solid burger. I also really liked how crunchy the waffle fries were. Would I normally pay nearly $30 for a burger? No. But I came here to hear the talented singers perform Broadway songs so I just chose an entree for the sake of it. The Sunset Swan Song mocktail was refreshing. They are quick with service which I appreciated. Fast forward to 2026 (where I'm finally not broke as hell), the day has finally come, and I am ecstatic about stepping foot into this diner that surprisingly is still standing in 2026. The inside certainly feels like a diner, but not quite the old-school dinginess that I'm used to--it's clean. Given that it was Sunday at noon, it was very crowded in there and mainly flooded with tourist groups, but a table opened up for us pretty quickly. For a NYC diner, the menu is certainly small - this is probably done to keep tables moving faster. I got the Pastrami Hash & Eggs and it was just overdone and super oily and dry--almost as if they just refried everything except the sunnyside egg. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed, given that I had waited for so long to come here, only to get food that was an attempt to give the staleness another chance by refrying and reheating. I actually beat myself up a little the rest of the day for finishing the whole thing, knowing that the oversaltiness was flirting with opening up some high blood pressure. It was also not moderately priced by any means (was close to $30), but I know I'm helping pay for that Midtown and proximity to Central Park pricing. Not sure if I'll return, which saddens me, but also knowing that they're part of a conglomerate at Fireman Group (and still run independently in a sense) makes total sense

With the hopes of avoiding any potential wait time, I decided to stop by on a bright, early Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. There was no line and I was seated immediately, but it was already packed (which indicates the food is top quality). Egg Cream: This chilled beverage has a beautiful appearance, especially the thick foam at the top. The ratio of seltzer, milk, and chocolate syrup were stirred perfectly. It was highly satisfying and a perfect alternative for a traditional breakfast drink. If you are not desiring the chocolate flavor, this specialty drink is also served in vanilla. BBC Omelette: This breakfast plate may have the same initials as the 24-hour news channel, but there is no relation whatsoever. This omelette was stuffed with broccoli, bacon, and cheddar cheese. These are not typically the toppings I order with an omelette, but I was feeling adventurous. It was a wise choice to explore this specialty plate because it surpasses my taste buds by a long shot. I never would have guessed broccoli and melted cheese taste well combined with an egg. A side of hash browns and toast is included. They were the backbone to the breakfast plate. In addition to a great meal, the service was impeccable. After I was seated, multiple servers checked up on me to make sure I wanted a drink. They always passed by and refilled my water glass. Even though the diner was crowded, the service was lightning fast and my drink and eggs arrived in a timely manner. This is a perfect dining experience and I see why they are always busy. #westwaydiner #midtownmanhattan #bbcomelette
