I went in just to have my nails painted. No manicure and had no prior color they needed to remove. I was charged $38 just to have my nails painted. I was so confused to why it would cost this much just to have my nails polished! Yes, I'm aware gel polish is usually a little extra, but then because I wanted them to be matte they said it was an additional charge? I've NEVER had this happen before. The whole time the nail tech went on about how slow they were, trying to make me feel guilty. Once she was finished and I paid, I needed change to leave the tip and she purposely gave me only $5 bills hoping that I would tip her $5 dollars. I asked for $5 ones and she was clearly annoyed. I tipped her $3. So I ended up paying over $40 just to have my nails painted! I felt completely taken advantage of and will never go back. read more

As I walked in...I was not greeted due to staff talking to others...I tried to make small talk and ask questions to the gal at the reception desk however, she was short and seemed bothered to answer my questions about the services. Some of the staff have no filter and feel the need to talk to you like there is something wrong with the customer and will not take responsibility over the service if it's not to the customers' standard. Terrible service. I was taking my niece to get her nails done (she's 10). They kept us waiting forever when we were the first ones there. Other ladies came in after us asking for full sets and more elaborate services. When we sat down, the manicurist told us "she didn't have time to do a manicure, paint only." I told her we would wait for someone who could do a manicure. She called out to her employees (in their language), then said "no you said paint only". I said "I want a manicure for her" and she said they don't have time to do it.... At this point there was no one else waiting because everyone had been helped and it was 1pm on a Saturday. Do not go here, unless you want a toenail fungus.! I never go to nail shops for this reason, and the one and only time I did, I developed this fungus about three weeks after my one and only visit. I had to end up getting my toenail removed, because the drugs they give you are very bad for your liver. I never realized how difficult it is to remove a fungus, even with traditional medicine, herbs, and removal. I'm lucky that's all it was. Could've been HIV, hepatitis, etc. The thing about these places, and I know better, is that they do not sanitize their implements the required amount of time which is about 15 minutes. These high volume prices do not sanitize per state of California! Im the end it was my fault for trusting one of these chop shops, still I highly recommend that you stay away. Also, sidenote, I learned from somebody in the industry, that those liners are not even effective in preventing disease and infection. Apparently, they have to poke tiny holes in the bag so that the water bubbles. Also after every client, I'm sure you've all seen, they'll spray with the disinfectant and then rinse. They're supposed to keep that in the bowl for a minimum of 15 minutes as well. Literally, you're all risking your lives every time you go to one of these cheap shots, I should've wrote this review a while ago, but I'm finally doing it. Also, for your information, anytime you see anything on sanitary you can always contact the cosmetology board of California. Which I did, but I'm not sure if they ever reprimanded them or if anything came out of it. That's why I am just warning you all. Trust me you don't want this never-ending battle, even now I still have to treat it. read more

A lady by the name of Vi or Be did my nils and she was ok. The gal who did my pedicure, a lady with "blond hair", was awful. She was rushed, kinda rude and did a mediocre job. She didn't bother to clean the polish off the edges and cut my nails uneven. Even after I told her, she walked away and started working on someone else. Most importantly, I noticed when I was leaving that the same tools which were used on me, were being g used on someone else without cleaning. Hopefully, I don't get toe nail fungus. read more

The nail salon is always clean and I never question the hygienic care they offer. I've been going here since I moved to Southern California, almost 2 years. I was never impressed with their prices, but the proximity to my home made it worth the extra few bucks. However, after my most recent visit, I will never be coming here again. I went in to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure about a week ago. I had already decided to find a new salon due to the prices, but I had a $20 credit in their rewards system, so I figured one last trip wouldn't hurt--how wrong I was. The ladies working at the time weren't my usual favorites, but it didn't matter. I told them which manicure I wanted and tried to relax--until they started to give me a higher priced package without my consent. They then proceeded to charge me for it, despite my questions. The lady who rang me up asked if I would like to tip, and I specified how much--and she disregarded it, adding $4 more to my total in order to get a bigger tip and running my card without double checking whether she was right. Worst of all, they cut my cuticles so badly that one of my fingers has developed an infection. It's disgusting, and now I'm going to have to go to urgent care for their disregard of my desires or well-being. So much for that $20 credit. read more

Okay, came here 3-4 times for a pedicure and each time so disappointed. I wanted to give them so many chances because my girlfriend comes here and her girl does a great job for her pedicure. But I get different girls every time. First time, the lady used lotion as cuticle softener and told her that doesn't help it but she insisted it's ok, well I guess, was a crappy job! Second and third time was no good either. This is my last time I'll come here for sure. I recently came back to this salon after a long break because of Covid. It's under new management and nicely remodeled. The technicians are all decent and friendly. HOWEVER, the prices and up-selling are ridiculous. Every couple of visits, they tell me I need a new set. They'll ask if I want a pedicure, cuticle trim or waxing. This last visit, after turning down all the various services they offer, they tried to charge me $2 extra for having almond shaped nails. This was the first time someone has mentioned that since returning to the salon and my nails have always been almond shaped.
