Atmosphere was pretty chill, but I wasn't a fan of the service. The waiter messed up my order and brought me a burger and clam chowder when I'd asked for fries, also took about 20 minutes - enough time for the waitress to ask if we needed new drinks - twice. The burger also had pretty much zero blue cheese, and when I order a bacon and blue, I should probably be able to taste it. They comp'd the soup but apparently they don't serve fries at all ? Really great food and drinks in a nice atmosphere. If your looking for a dive bar where hillbilly rednecks ask "How much is?" and "What's your cheapest?" this is not the place. (It nicely prices out the rifraff) Not expensive for the awesome menu and extensive bourbon list they serve, but no $1 pabst crowd, thank god. I had one of the best fresh ground burgers of my life along with a great selection of beers and spirits. The place is very well decorated with a nice fire pit running down the middle of the table on the patio. Dave, the owner is a great host and has put a classy late night spot in beaverton where there was only your usual dive bars where the more "Rural inbreds" go to get puke drunk or fight. Instead of having to drive to downtown or S.E. Fireside is right down the street for me. Cant wait to go back and try the home made giant chicken strips or some kinda gnochi stuffed cheese strips or something like that??? I'm not really sure why this place got such great reviews. Yes the food is freshly made but nothing to rave about when combined with crappy service. Went here on a Saturday night expecting a fine establishment. When me and my partner walk in, there's really loud 80s music blaring from the speakers and tables haphazardly strewn about with generic restaurant chairs and a few booths alongside the walls. We sit down, and wait....and wait....and wait....I wasn't sure if they were going for the divey bar thing where you go up to the bar and order. We were somewhat confused on what to do. Finally, the waitress comes over looking rushed and hands us the menus. Comes back to take our order, drops off order, checks in once, and drops off bill. All of this with not so much of a smile. We would've liked to have ordered a second drink but she was ready to rush us out so we left and most likely never to return again. The outdoor seating area looks nice so I would recommend this place in the summer months if you're local and don't want to get out of the suburbs but skip the rest of the year, not worth it. read more

Look no further....But their menu presents itself as a fine dinning menu with fine dining prices...but it falls very short!! Their salads have been very blah. Their cheese plate was awful!! Sooo...we just wrote a great review for this place and must change it. All of our food came out overcooked to a thick, disgusting CRISP. A total disappointment. The scotch egg was rock hard with the egg completely dried out. My burger was supposed to be medium rare (as the menu says) but OVER well done. Even the chips were burnt black. The owner/manager guy was rude about it all and argued with me. He said that the scotch egg and the burger come that way because of complaints. REALLY?!?! I will not be going back. While the food is just fine, I had an unacceptable service experience. First they didn't make my sandwich on gluten free bread as I had ordered. This is a big deal to someone who is gluten intolerant. The plate was taken away without much of an apology. After 15 min of waiting for the replacement, I had to go up to the bar to check on the progress and ask for it to be packed to go as the rest of my party was almost done. When the boxed meal was brought to the table there still wasn't much acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Nothing was comped from my order or offered as means of apology. I would have gone back again for the food but the utter lack of caring about the customer experience is unacceptable. I knew the Yelpers wouldn't let me down! You guys were right. This place is great! If you like truly spicy and hot on your burgers, the Vesuvius lived up to it's name. The Bomber is also delicious with lots of flavor from the grilled onions to the gorgonzola cheese. Both burgers were very juicy and satisfying. The chips are to die for - sliced so thinly and flavored with spices. You might want to get a 'lil burger so that you can try desserts too. The stout brownie was moist and crumbly, served with Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. The creme brulee had a nice crispy top over a creamy and smooth custard. If you decide to eat here, ask them for their recommendations for drink pairings with their entrees. I liked their choices better than the ones we picked. I love the atmosphere too! Another day shopping and moving, and another desperate search for food in Beaverton led us to Fireside Grill. There was a nice selection on the happy hour menu, but we both opted for burgers. The Shorty got rave reviews. The veggie burger was very tasty as well, and comes with a side salad. I think the price is a bit on the upper end for a veggie burger, but it was satisfying, still. The service was very informative and attentive, and the flat screen TVs were top of the line (You could really appreciate David Stern's tan during the NBA draft). Leaving the restaurant, I was shocked to see how packed the patio was. This might be one of the local hot spots, though I have no idea. I'd come back for sure. read more

We live off Scholls Ferry Rd in Beaverton & needed to go somewhere late, but not far away (because of our babysitter situation). This is our new favorite place!! Staff is awesome, very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is over the top and the best on the West side. I'll go to this place ten times before going to the "uppity" spots. Burgers show the care of a chef, instead of the production line feel of a line cook. Entrees always have the "touch" of a chef that cares about every plate. Two Happy Hour plates equal a great dinner that would cost double anywhere else. Great bartenders. Tucked away in a Beaverton strip mall next to Fano Creek Park, the Fireside Grill has a nice patio. Their food is surprisingly good, Unfortunately they don't seem to know if they want to be a sportsbar or a resturant. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The restaurant is in a funky location and the front door area is not visible from the street and they do have a back entrance . It's a not a great place for ambiance as it's a bar. When I saw the 4 star rating, I said sure, let's give it a shot for a family of 6 brunch/lunch on a Saturday. When we drove up at 11am, there were only 2 people at the bar and no one else sitting in the dining area. We are about to do an about turn. Since we had 2 cars with 6 people and had an open mind, we decided to stay. The waitress was super friendly. The food is really good. 5 of my family members ordered breakfast/brunch items: a customized omelet, French toast, two egg breakfast, corned beef hash. The only super down size to the breakfast on this particular day is that ALL of the roasted potatoes in all of the 5 plates were cold. I had the rib eye steak which was excellent. One weird thing: On my last visit, I noticed that the menus, beer lists, etc all have comments on them asking patrons not to use them as coasters. Not polite comments...more along the lines of "don't get crap on our menus." I wish I had taken a photo. The fireside is a great Restaurant/Bar. No minors allowed. The menu is sandwiches, burgers, and some salads and soups. The cooks are top notch here. Care and respect for ingredients and preparing your food in the open kitchen are certainly exercised. There is a full bar and extensive tap selection. The staff has always been helpful and hard working, and make the effort to serve you and make you feel taken care of. Burgers are the best in the area, IMHO. My only knock is that often there is not enough staff to open the really nice patio on days when the weather is nice, but that isn't enough of an issue to warrant dropping a star. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I've lived in Beaverton for about 15 years and never noticed it behind the dry cleaners and a 7/11. You would never think such a great place would be shoved in the back, but don't be scared to give it a chance!! The atmosphere inside is really awesome, it's 21+ but has the feel of a regular restaurant - not just a bar. They still have great beers and great mimosas though, don't worry! I wish I caught my servers name, but if you see a blonde woman with a flower in her hair, ask to sit in her section. She's insanely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My boyfriend got their soup and said it was the most amazing he's ever had. He seriously said 'yum' after every bite (yes, it got annoying lol). I had a burger and it was honestly the most amazing one I've had in a long time!! I wish they had regular french fries on the menu, but their house chips are aaaaamazing. I've been here so many times its scandalous that I haven't written a review! Dave, I humbly apologize. Ok folks - this is a 21 and over joint. The burgers are incredible here! They have a happy hour and a summer and spring weather patio that is lovely, but what I come here to do most often with my friends is brunch. Bottomless mimosas - orange juice, pineapple, and grapefruit juice without skimping on the bubbles for $10 with a brunch purchase served until 1 pm. This place is guaranteed almost full pretty much every time I come, and I've been here often enough that my fiancé and I get recognized....which should make me mimosa embarrassed but it doesn't. Now let's attack the food portion of this review: the brunch and the burgers. (Although I strongly believe in brunch being the mimosa part). I'm not a breakfast eater but each time my friends have gotten the brunch menu they have been happy. The burgers are OH MY GOD and they are served not with fries but with homemade chips - delicious! My favorite meals to get are the seasonal salads - the pomegranate Gorgonzola is superb. I've never had an issue with service - Dave runs a tight and great ship.
