Filled with every imaginable item - small appliances, bakeware, dishes, wine glasses, kitchen tools, pitchers, vases, thermometers, muffin, tart and cake pans and so much more! Typically I shop at NE location but when I'm in the area, I stop in the Beaverton store. It has a large rectangular footprint making it super easy to navigate and find what you need or browse to discover items that you must have! The store is usually well stocked but due to pandemic, the inventory is on the sparse side. They had a large table and corner area with a 50% off sale going on. I'll be back in a few weeks as I'm hoping their summer outdoor dinnerware will go on sale. The light weight, colorful Melamine plates are perfect for outdoor dining. The last time I visited, the service was so slow. Unbearably slow. The woman wrapping my two dishes took painfully long. It was also the very first time I entered and was not greeted or asked if I needed assistance. Typically this doesn't bother me but this day I was in a hurry, did have a particular item I came to buy, but couldn't find assistance. There were several people working and were engaged in their own conversation. slow! One experience doesn't define a store so I'll be back when in the area. My family went in the store to buy a set of frying pans between ceramic or stainless steel. However, no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. When we went to the desk, 4 people were standing around and one was helping other customers. When I walked up l, they ignored me and then started chatting. When they finished chatting, they continues to ignore me and help the other clerk with the other customers. Now, four people were helping one other customer and no one was helping me. It was so rude. I am unsure if they were prejudice against my family for being mixed race or if they were just rude in general. Maybe they judged us by our beach clothes, but I would recommend never shopping at this store ever again. read more

This place is quite nice. I go here often for everything from the basics to high end stuff. They have soda-stream flavors and refill CO2 cartridges. They have nice knives and pots and pans. Tons of stuff here is made in the USA, if you look carefully and are willing to pay a slightly higher price. The employees have always been super friendly and helpful, although I admit that I don't ask for help lots of the times. Their furniture is pretty neat, but I buy that stuff so much more rarely that I don't have much experience with that side of it. Also - they're locally owned. That never hurts. read more

Yep, I am a fan of Kitchen Caboodle. I like kitchen stores, even though I know I don't need any more kitchen stuff. I still drop by and look. Its an attractive space, well laid out. It is not as packed, or at least doesn't feel it, as William Sonoma. Maybe that is the advantage of being outside the mall? Staff is always nice and helpful. Have been shopping her for awhile, always great service. Today was the cherry on top. My wife had bought me a Le Crueset French oven for Christmas and an egg poacher for a stocking stuffer. She was bummed when she realized that she had two bags and left one behind (egg poacher). Never went back for it as life happens... We went in today for other kitchen goodies and she had mentioned to the manager about what she had forgotten (back in December btw) and they were kind enough to honor her story, added the egg poacher to our bag today without receipt proving that she had already paid for one months ago! If you can't find it at Kitchen Kaboodle, you probably won't find it any where! Very much like Williams Sonoma and Sur la Table but smaller and friendlier, and you don't have to haul yourself into a Mall to shop. Their selection of kitchen items is phenomenal for such a small space. I saw every high-end brand of cookware displayed too. The furniture is very expensive but I probably wouldn't buy it at Kitchen Kaboodle anyway. Staff is helpful without badgering you and they get the message quickly when you just want to browse. We recently paid a visit to Kitchen Kaboodle in Beaverton for the first time in a while. It was a bit confusing. At first we thought they turned it into a closeout store or something. The sign in the window said only open Thursday-Sunday. What? So, if I have a dutch oven emergency on a Monday I'm outta luck til Thursday? Anyway, I guess they decided to come up with a way to survive the recession with limited hours, less stock and items that are forever on sale. Don't ask me why they don't just lower the price instead of the fake-o sale. Let's hear it for psychology and marketing working together to drain our wallets! So, long weekend hours and bare looking shelves, but still a good selection and now some lower prices on things. It's okay. read more

I love Kitchen Kaboodle. Every time we go there we are greeted by a friendly and ready to help staff. We just bought some deck furniture and umbrella on sale and they just delivered it and set it all up. So worth the reasonable $85 delivery fee. You really get a small town feel buying from them. I was impressed with the selection of kitchen items here. Things are reasonably priced and I liked that the staff provided an appropriate amount of customer service. The store was fairly empty and I was worried they weren't going to just let me shop, but it was a good atmosphere and I wasn't bothered by any over-enthusiastic sales associates. The only issue came when I wanted to check out. They didn't have a SKU on something (pop-up spunges...which are cool and can be difficult to find) and it took a long time for them to look it up. At least they finally figured it out I suppose. The associate was nice and overall I give it two thumbs up. read more

Today, a male sales person interrupted me while I was speaking to someone demo'ing an item. And then a few minutes later, when I asked for help with furniture, this same sales person came to help. He seemed flustered and tense while unsuccessfully not finding the item in his catalogue. Then when I questioned the name of the style of the table, he snapped at me and my elderly father in a very condescending manner. Yet, I thanked him for his time anyway, but he simply turned away without a reply. I rarely experience being treated this way in a store by staff. My father and I were both so surprised that a salesperson thought it was ok to talk to us that way. I will never shop at this location again. All it takes is one salesperson to ruin it for the whole store. In this day and age of businesses closing, management needs to be very careful about customer service. Wow I can't believe the misrepresentation of customer service in person compared to the call I made minutes before. I called in earlier and spoke with a very nice gentlemen I told him I have the 5 quart lift stand mixer need a pouring shield. Do you have any in stock. Puts me on hold comes back says yes we do its this much there's one in stock. I asked do you also have other attachments and accessories for the mixer. He said yes we have lots! So I excitedly drive on over ... The window cleaners were very polite , opened the door for me, go in, walk up to the front counter where there are two employees talking I stand there for about thirty seconds until one decides to say "do you have a question" (I should have known right there and walked away) I said to her "I just called in and spoke with someone about attachments and accessories for my kitchenaid mixer. She walks me over to the kitchenaid area I tell her I need a pouring shield mainly so she picks one up looks over at the machines says do you have one of those. Which are the tilt heads I said no it's one of those and pointed to the bowl lift models but said its a 5 quart. So LOUDLY MISS THANG SAYS "OH SO ITS A OLD ONE! Umm no it's brand new. Well where did you get it? Me"I don't know" it was a gift. Then she goes off on a shpeel about Costco makes a different version and literally scared me out of there. I've shopped Kitchen Kaboodle for years. I used to go to the location on or near NW 23rd when I lived close to it, and the past several years have gone to the Beaverton location. At the Beaverton location I have purchased a dining room table and chairs, dishes, decorations, and recently a console table. I still have kitchen appliances and an armoire I bought from the NW location. I like the quality of KK items and like to shop local, but you won't save any money here or find items you can't find elsewhere. I bought a floor model console table near the end of Christmas. I told the clerk I would be back for it the next day. When I came in to pick it up, a young petite female clerk and an average sized middle aged female clerk assisted me. I asked if they could help me carry the console to my car, and they both seemed surprised. The older one seemed put-out said we should have sent it to the warehouse so they could help with that. It is not a heavy or particularly large table, but due to all the items in the store, it was easier to have a second person help carry it out so I wouldn't knock anything over. If they don't want to help move things, they should have thought of the warehouse option at the time they sold it. The table has metal legs. After we moved it outside and set it on the parking lot blacktop while I unlocked my car, the older clerk began to push the table toward me without saying anything, causing a loud screech of the metal legs on the ground. Maybe the scratches would only end up on the bottom of the legs where they won't be seen, but maybe I don't want my new table damaged. The painted metal legs could have chipped from this. The clerk was clearly annoyed that she had to help me move it and acted as though we were moving an elephant. When I got home, I took the table from my car and into my house without assistance with no problems at all. I felt the woman had an attitude of learned helplessness, believing she couldn't possibly move a table. This afternoon on my lunch break from work I stopped in to look for spring decorations. I was wearing nice work slacks, a tailored raincoat, and carrying a small backpack I use in lieu of a purse. I am a professional looking woman in my 40's. As soon as I walked in, a clerk asked to see my bag. Having nothing to hide, I handed it to her and she said she would have to check it for me while I shopped. I was so surprised, I didn't say anything, but made a mental note of what was in my bag. I would preferred to have simply returned it to my car, but didn't think of it on the fly. I was in the store no more than five minutes and was approached by four separate clerks asking if I needed assistance. This was smothering, and I felt like I was a shoplifting suspect they had to follow. When I decided to leave, I had to get the attention of a clerk to hand me my bag that was sitting out in the open on a counter behind the desk. I understand a business wanting to protect itself against theft, but this really felt over the top. I also understand thieves may dress professionally and look like any regular person, but I certainly didn't provide any clues that I was there for criminal activity. I wonder if they really ask for every purse and bag that walks in the store- really an open topped purse would be a much better way to quickly conceal items if that was my plan. I absolutely will not be back to this or any KK location. I'm not going to spend my hard-earned money only to be treated poorly. read more

I had a similar experience that another reviewer did just a few days ago. I will start by saying that before I went into healthcare I have a background in retail marketing and management. One of the #1 rules when a patron enters the store is to greet them. Tell them that someone is available to help them if needed. This did not happen here. In fact I felt like we were ignored. The service personnel just talked amongst one another. We milled around the store for about 20 minutes until someone noticed us. Perhaps it was because I was talking very loud about needing something down from the top self and giving one of the employees the *stink eye. Finally 5 minutes after we just stood there someone finally came over. They were friendly and engaging when they finally came over. I love the selection in this store. Most stuff I think is made in USA? I don't know about some of it because they like to put their pice sticker right over the country that the product is made. Most of their plastic stuff is made in China, but I they have items to fit every budget. They have a talented retail display person and they also sell some furniture and decor. I like their selection better than the corp SLT kitchen store. It is a local chain and a store right in Tigard, and shares a plaza style shopping center with lamps plus. It sets off the road a bit so one might miss it as you are driving by. All in all, I like this store and I will probably return to shop. I will say that to improve their sales numbers and patron satisfaction their retail sales associates need to learn customer service by hanging out with WFM team members. First time visiting this store and I was so impressed with all the stock they had, so much variety from kitchen items to furniture(indoor and outdoor). Left there thinking I would definitely go back. But then I got home and unpacked my items that I purchased and decided to look at my receipt and low and behold I wasn't given the sales prices on a few of the items. Really? Ugh, called the store and spoke to the manager who informed me I would have to bring the items back to check if they were indeed on sale, the receipt only was not good enough. I thought it was strange she didn't inquire what the sale items were, that way she could let me know for sure that they were on sale. So I drove back and sure enough they were on sale, when I inquired to the clerk if in the future when I buy sales items should I always tell the clerk while ringing up, he informed me that normally the sales items do automatically come up on sale but today they were having issues and for some reason they weren't coming up on sale. So all in all they knew that the sale items weren't ringing up but they obviously don't feel the need to check. This is not good customer service folks. I'm not coming back to the store, you lost a customer. While the store clerks may not care, I believe it is a local business and the owners may care. Btw, when I finished the return I looked up at the clerk he knew what I was waiting for, and he did smile and say "sorry about that"! It pained him to do it though, it was very insincere. Went into this store to look at the American Leather comfort sleeper sofa. The men there were very nice and helpful. I checked out many swatches which we paid for and then credited when returned. The next day, I took my husband in to this store to look and see. He picked a few more swatches. The time factor was 3 days to what came down. I went in the last day, chose the American Leather comfort sleeper sofa. Told them what I wanted and they wrote it up. When I went back the next day which was Monday, I was ready to pay for the sofa. They had written down on their letterhead paper everything with a 30% discount. They offered it to me. After this, I was told that American Leather would not honor a discount and they would not make up the balance . The stores big mistake. I said this is what they quoted me and it was a total of 4 days with my getting ready to pay. They said the store would not even help with some financial help from their mistake.
