The people that work at the Ferguson Showroom wouldn't even acknowledge us much less step away from their desks.

Very Attentive... Up to Your Payment…read more Ordered an $1,800 dishwasher, first in what we hoped would be a series of purchases for a full appliance kitchen remodel. We were told it would arrive within two weeks -- great, we paid and waited. Two weeks later... no dishwasher, no call. We called and were told it was "loaded and on the way." Another week passes -- no update. I call again and am told, "Your sales rep is on paternity leave; I'll email him." Excuse me? No one else can tell me where my order is? Apparently not. Two more weeks go by, and finally we're told the dishwasher is ready for pickup -- at the Lake Oswego store. We show up... nope, it's not there. It's sitting in Portland at their Highway 30 outlet. This was supposed to be our first of many purchases for a full kitchen remodel. After this experience, the remaining $20,000 of our remodel budget will be spent elsewhere. No follow-up, no accountability, and absolutely zero customer service once they have your payment. Calls go unanswered, updates never come, and the staff couldn't be less helpful or apologetic. Do not do business with this company. Go elsewhere. 10 out of 10 will never recommend.

DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY A WATER HEATER HERE! Their third party delivery "company" was a dude in an…read moreancient SUV, who transported our water heater ON ITS SIDE, and dumped it in our driveway. The box even said in big, bold letters, DO NOT TRANSPORT OR STORE ON SIDE. You can severely damage a water heater, especially a gas one, by putting it on its side. It also voids the manufacturer warranty. You'd think Lowes would know that, but when we pointed this out to the driver and tried to refuse delivery, he shrugged, wouldn't take it back, and drove away. What if we hadn't been there to see the crazy transport and dumping?!? We wouldn't have known until catastrophe struck. So we called Lowes "customer service" for help, but they treated us like idiots, condescendingly telling us we didn't know what we were talking about regarding damage and voided warranties. They brushed off our complaints about the delivery driver, saying "That's how everyone does it these days." It's taken HOURS of calling to get them to agree to an exchange. Then they made us buy the replacement one because it's coming from a different store! Lowes Tigard won't refund us until they pick up the damaged one, but we're still waiting for them to schedule that... They also refused to refund the shipping, which seems incredibly petty when I'm out thousands. I also wouldn't be surprised if they put the damaged water heater right back on the shelf once they finally retrieve it. Don't ever buy from here! You may be getting a dangerously damaged product, and you won't know until it starts leaking water and gas.

However, Hamilton's decided to partner with this company and therefore only gets 3 stars. (I was debating between 3 and 4). We bought a wall unit oven/microwave in 2021 that cost about $3k. The keypad went out. The error code is clear. The system notice tells you. We told the warranty people what the error code said. Extended warranty folks required I be home half a day. They arrive and tell me the oven needs a new keypad. Really?!?! Long story short, the oven is not repaired. It is now a full 2 months we have been without. We had to buy a countertop microwave, but still no oven. Extended Warranty keeps opening and closing tickets, and then stopped communicating because about 4 weeks after we started the process, the warranty expired. Now they don't think they have an obligation to finish the repair even though it started weeks before expiration. We had to order our own part and will install it ourselves. Thank you YouTube. Remedy will be to file small claims lawsuit for the value of the part and cost of the warranty. I only hope Hamilton's makes right with future customers and refuses selling this shoddy warranty product.

5 Stars - Ryan is on Speed Dial for a Reason…read more Ryan at PDX Appliance Repair is a good deal. We have a house full of 13+ year-old appliances that we're determined to keep running as long as possible, and this week put that goal to the test in a big way. Our dishwasher's heater broke, the fan in our refrigerator went out, a massive ice block built up inside the freezer walls and prevented the door from closing all the way, and our convection oven stopped heating after the kids went a little overboard with the microwave controls. Three appliances in one week. I reached out to Ryan during spring break to schedule repairs. He had taken the week off to spend time with his family, but he still called me back personally to make sure we were okay to wait. We scheduled the assessment within a day and completed all the repairs a few days later once the parts arrived, which took less than a week. We paid half up front and the remainder when all three appliances were fixed. We are so grateful. There's something worth saying about the trust factor here. Letting a stranger into your home means showing them the layout, who lives there, and making your family vulnerable in a real way. We trust Ryan completely. We can leave him working in an empty house without a second thought, and he always gets the job done. One more thing worth mentioning: we also purchased a rebuilt washer and dryer from the 90s through Ryan a year or so ago. Our thinking is that older machines can be repaired indefinitely, no planned obsolescence, no need to ever buy new again. They ARE loud, but they handle massive loads of laundry and linens without issue. If you're in the market for a refurbished washer and dryer set, it's worth giving Ryan a call at 503-853-5784.

Our refrigerator/freezer is also one of those New Zealand made appliances -we will never purchase again- that we were hoping wouldn't be as difficult as our oven to repair. We called Ryan again and he remembered us (thanks to that damn oven nightmare), scheduled us in within a few days and had the problem figured out in less than 15 minutes. Only took a week to get the part needed and he came out and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. Excellent response time and customer service. Ryan is a genuinely nice knowledgeable guy and very helpful. He cares about his customers and strives to do the best job he can. Fees are fair and honest too. PDX Appliance is now our go-to repair service (not trying to jinx anything else of course!) Highly recommend.
