Blueberry cheesecake

Last night we ate at The Flame Steakhouse here in Sanford, North Carolina. The food was delicious the service and our server Alyssa was outstanding. Steak was tender and flavorful. Server was quick to offer suggestions when prompted. She recommended the blueberry cheesecake for dessert. And now I recommend the blueberry cheesecake for dessert. It was Very good.

We decided to do a spontaneous date night in our local area. We searched for steakhouses close to us and saw this restaurant. We decided to give it a try. We called in a reservation 15min ahead and got a table. This place is small but quiet. Not usual steakhouse but also not quite romantic but a little of both. Our server Lilly was awesome! She was attentive and knowledgeable. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was slightly over salted but ok. The bisque was a little too thick. We ordered dessert of strawberry shortcake and new York cheesecake with caramel, strawberry and chocolate to go. It was pretty good. We would give it more stars if the food had less salt but more taste. We will give it another try in a couple of months.

A perfect steak!

Absolutely 5 star, incredible little spot with perfect French Onion Soup, Wedge Salad and Dry Aged Ribeye worth telling people about. Fabulous! Not a single complaint. Wirth making reservations for a special night.

These are the 6 sides available with a meal. 5 of are starches, including 4 dishes of potatoes; I felt like I was back in Ireland).

Reservations are required, even to site in the Bar (room). SIDES: The sides that are available with the meal are 5 STARCHES or an order or an order a sautéed onions. 4 of those starches are potatoes in different forms. The other starch is Wild Rice. All other sides, "Specialty Sides" cost extra, including a side salad. So, be prepared to pay extra to get a decent side. MAIN DISHES: Our dishes were extremely tasty. We each had fried seafoods. The waiter was new but he worked very hard at pleasing us. Bread & Butter were put on the table which meant a great deal to my husband; he won't return to a restaurant that doesn't serve Bread & Butter. DRINKS: The alcoholic beverages were created as requested included my Special Request.

The steak was good, the service was great but it was pretty dark inside. Once your eyes adjusted it got better but it was still pretty dark.

This steakhouse has become our go to spot and should definitely receive recognition as a top steakhouse in the area.

Great place to grab lunch! I'll admit, I've mostly tried the salads and bang bang shrimp, but everything I've had was fantastic.

The steak tips were medium well and the portion was perfect for an appetizer or a small dinner with side salad.

Food is great. We often order out from here but look forward to dining in, in the future. Staff are always polite and friendly.

I quickly scanned their hefty bloody mary menu and ordered the Lobstrocity, featuring veggies, shrimp, a grilled cheese sandwich and a fresh lobster tail atop a sizeable glass of the main concoction. This was definitely a meal in a glass! It was all quite delicious and filling, and I was glad I'd opted out of any of the optional add-ons like filet mignon, crab claws, or frog legs. Of course, I still had to order half a dozen raw oysters for dessert. And no, I won't be eating for the rest of the day! What made this a 5 star experience was our phenomenal server, Trevor. He was fast, friendly, and always nearby to clear empty plates or offer drink refills.

You can tell this place is popular by the amount of people who were on the wait list for a table. The bar area has a ton of local draft beer options and very friendly wait staff. The food options vary from sushi nachos to more traditional sandwiches. I thought my fish sandwich was a bit bland but it was still an overall great experience. Prices are what I would expect for seafood in Holly Springs.

First and foremost: Lauren was absolutely phenomenal. She was a fantastic problem-solver and was…read morespot-on with her attention & service. The problem was that there were many matters that Lauren had to try to mitigate that brought our experience from a four star to a three star: My stuffed salmon was the last of ten meals served & it was so overcooked that the salmon resembled jerky. They offered to make another for me to take to-go, but that did nothing for me in the moment (I still had to navigate a burned meal & we all know that type of meal does not reheat well). Noodles & sauce that came with the dish were very good. The "succotash" was unremarkable. Two plates of King crab legs (an EXTREMELY expensive meal) came with no melted butter - my friends had to ask twice for butter - crab got cold before butter was ever served. Waitress (not Lauren) said full serving costs $120. For some reason, 1/2 serving consisted of two legs, full serving consisted of three legs? We were told a claw would be included as well with the full serving, but then "reassured" that a full serving was indeed received without the claw. Chicken teriyaki was good. Mussels with pasta was good. Apparently. it is "safe" to consume the living red worms that squiggle on the oysters on the half shell, but in all our years in other restaurants with oysters, we've never seen worms moving on our plates. Is that because other restaurants clean off the oysters in a different manner? Is it because other restaurants serve on ice? I honestly don't know, but do know I can't eat wriggling worms. I sincerely appreciate Lauren's attempt to alleviate our concerns. Apparently, there was/is a shortage of glasses, because refills of beer and alcohol came in different sized glasses with each round. One beer refill came in a small brandy-type glass with no explanation. Again, a solution was offered well after the fact, but honestly should not have been necessary. This is not a fault of the waitstaff. The potatoes & slaw that are served with each meal were brought before our drinks were ever served - are they intended to be treated like appetizers? (Just a note: Active Duty military & Federal employees have been advised not to consume poppy seeds - it's ridiculous - but half of our table couldn't eat the slaw (which was unfortunate because the slaw was very good - one of my favorite recipes). Fried dishes were over cooked - extremely dark & tough. Do not forgot to ask what "Market price" is - it may be well over $100 per serving. By the way: their Carolina Colada is now my favorite drink! Delicious!! Look at the back of the menu for the day's drink special.
