A friend surprised me for my birthday with a back facial treatment and facial from The Flawless Group. Vanessa was excellent, especially at explaining the need for the back facial. I received a sea salt and tea tree scrub which helped relieve minor stress in my back along with the steam treatment which was a pleasant surprise. The Facial took 3 years off the look of my face (in my opinion) and really boosted my confidence as other people noticed the overall condition of my skin had improved. She did help me with finding facial products that matched my oily skin which have helped keep my skin under control. Vanessa is great - she really takes the time to ask you about your current skin care routine and to give you some tips to help your concerns. She uses all organic products which I love. However, be warned, if you are looking for a quiet, spa-like experience this will not be it. Vanessa is extremely friendly and chatty so she will talk to you throughout the session. She customizes her facials based on every client and uses essential oils to help you relax. The room the facials are done in isnt the most relaxing space and is quite bright, but she has everything she needs to perform a great facial so I can look past that. I bought a Groupon for 4 60 minute facials and have loved how my skin felt after my first two sessions. She has over 30 years of experience and it shows. She has given me great advice to up my skin game. I do prefer a more relaxing facial typically, but Vanessa is always so friendly and chipper that I don't mind talking to her. Definitely not your typical facial - but sometimes that's okay! Definitely give her a chance if you're not the type to lay in silence while the esthetician works on you. read more

I recently went to The Flawless Group (i.e., Vanessa) for the first time. I had an amazon local deal and my impression is that most of her clients come to her through some type of daily deal. There always seems to be one available. Vanessa's greatest talent seems to be skin care. Unfortunately, that's not really my thing. I am guessing if you want a facial she'd be a good person to go to. I went for a body scrub plus massage. It was fine. The body scrub part was good but the massage was meh. She described it as helping you relax as to getting out any knots or helping with body therapy. So maybe some folks would like this but it really wasn't my thing. Vanessa herself is delightful. She is cheery and friendly (perhaps a bit too chatty if you are just trying to relax). I find that skin people tend to be more chatty than massage therapists though -- makes it feel a little like they are trying to sell you on their products and services. I probably won't be back but if you are into facials, give her a try. After your first visit, I think she gives you a break on the prices compared to what is listed on her website. I bought an Amazon Local Deal for a One-hour massage with hot towels, Back Cleanse, and salt Scrub. In New York State only a Licensed Massage Therapist can claim to do body massages.A LMT can perform body treatments and perform massage which is what this was advertised as. Vanessa is not a licensed massage therapist (LMT). She is an esthetician that can do back facials, but NOT provide a true back massage. As an esthetician she can apply product to your back but not act as a LMT. I can't comment on how her back facials are (because that's all her fancy words amount to). When I realized that she is NOT A LMT AND CANNOT PERFORM MASSAGE, I canceled the appointment. Vanessa told me to get a refund from Amazon, which I have already put in a claim for. Back facials can be really nice, but she misrepresents her treatments and what I wanted was not a back facial. Don't get fooled by the way Vanessa names her services. She is an esthetician and NOT a massage therapists. She continues to market her services as a "Back Massage with scrub and hot towels". This is commonly called a "back facial" and DOES NOT include a back massage. Yet Vanessa insists that under New York State Law she is allowed to provide back massages. This is false. Just read the previous review showing that Vanessa does not provide a massage but a light "application of products". It's a shame when someone constantly misrepresents their services and skills. If you want a back massage then book a service with a licensed massage therapist. Skip the back facial by Vanessa. She may be ok at skin care, but anyone who must depend on false advertisement has something wrong with their business. read more

I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute facial. The facial was nice. Afterwards my face looked and felt great. Vanessa is very pleasant and extremely informative about skin care, especially organic products. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet facial - this is not the place for you. While some may like to chit chat during a facial, others are looking for a quiet time to relax and recharge. Vanessa talked a lot during the session, which was fine with me. The atmosphere itself was not relaxing with all of the bright lights in the room on. There just wasn't that "spa" feel you get with most places that offer facials. The table wasn't warm and I wasn't given one of those wraps normally provided at spas - I was fully clothed under the sheets and blanket. This wasn't necessarily a "bad" thing, but it wasn't what I expect when I go to get a facial and it was slightly uncomfortable because I had my work clothes on. There was no massage of my neck or head as is usually performed during a facial at other places. If you want a decent facial for a good price, get a Groupon (or similar) deal. If you want a more traditional spa-like facial, you should probably look elsewhere. read more

As a person with troubled skin and tired of trying to figure out what works for me yet still willing to try the holistic approach I received some great tips that seem to be working. Although it was explained that the back facial was not a full blown massage, it was nice and relaxing and I fell asleep just the same. Didn't see previous reviews before I book the Amazon local deal voucher. They were saying the open during weekend but nobody ever picked up the phone or called back. According to other review, the place is not providing massage because there is no liscenced massage therapist. I quit calling them cuz I found service somewhere else and trying to refund the voucher. I have been going here since 4 months now (once every month) for 60 minute organic facial. Vanessa does an excellent job at that. The sessions were relaxing and it has helped a lot in reducing my acne and hyperpigmentation. My face was previously dull and grumpy. Now it has brighten up that even my husband noticed it.
