The first time we walked into the store, I was overwhelmed with the amount of flooring material selection that was nicely displayed. A nice sales-associate greeted us and was very helpful with guiding us to find carpet and hardwood flooring. Roberto and Christian did a beautiful job installing the hardwood floor. They arrived at our home on time, they were polite, friendly, and professional. They put up a dust barrier to protect the walls and the other room from all the dust. It is obvious they take pride in their work. They did a good job of cleaning up all the scraps of wood and sawdust from each room, and they even cleaned the driveway where they did most of the cutting of the wood planks. read more

We put in a new floor when we remodeled our kitchen six years ago. The kitchen still looks great, but the flooring started to fall apart a couple of years ago. When I consulted Frederick Alexander at The Floor Store he pointed me to flooring that is perfect for a kitchen and would withstand a leak from a refrigerator or a cranky dishwasher. Update to original review; The Floor Store Dublin really cares and wants to make sure you are completely satisfied with the level of service you receive. And if for any reason you are not, they will go out of their way to make it right. My first job with them two years ago had a few hiccups, as I wrote about at the time (below). Because of the positive way management had handled it, I came back to them a second time in March this year, when I decided to bring the porcelain floors I had installed throughout my house, now into the four bedrooms and closets. I was treated with the utmost care in making sure everything was measured and ordered correctly to ensure the job ran smoothly. The installer could not have been any more skilled and professional. He was on the job at 7:45 every morning ready to go. The job was done beautifully and timely. I would recommend The Floor Store Dublin to all my friends and acquaintances. We recently replaced our dark hardwood floors with a beautiful European white oak hardwood flooring. It's a pricey investment to replace hardwoods so we looked for a long time for the right store with a good selection. We chose The Floor Store in Dublin. We had major help from Carlos who spent a lot of time educating us about the various options and also how different floors would look to match our cabinets. bad customer care! They're not helpful. They don't care much. It's better to search on the interest, instead of wasting your time by asking those "professional", if you're not contractor or experienced home owner. They only serve "ready-to-buy" customers. I just started "my 1st" remodeling project for my home. I decided to replace the existing stained carpet by hardwood floor. Their mid to high end products drive me to check it out. Since my friends bought something low-end HW floor from HD, and it doesn't last long, it leave water mark, crack, stain on it. period. HD will answer your stupid questions, but this sales person give you no time to ask. Today, I wish I can get some quotes & sample & get some idea of what type of engineering hardwood floor I should get & what color of floor should I choose & how many sf of HW floor do I need. After a salesperson came to me, and after he randomly pointed out those engineered hardwood floor, and told me they have measuring service which I don't need.(I have my measurement ready) After that, he walked away with the other customers where she was there before me, and he said he will be right back after serve that customer. (I can wait) There are a ton of products, however you will have no idea what're those. The sample only tell you the brand and the name of the color. few sample are labeled as engineered. That's all. Nothing else. He never come back, and he served the other customers instead. He was not ever look at me or talk to me. If you spend no time on customer, I will never spend time in your shop too. read more

She and her colleague who stood in for her on one of her days off (Unfortunately, I can't recall her name at this time) were super helpful throughout our interaction, for instance in figuring out the types of designs that might suit our house. We made an advance payment to lock in the price of the flooring material, but later decided not to proceed with the purchase as a few factors, including our schedule, did not come together. So I needed floors desperately, I mean I had nothing but concrete on the floor. After seeing the product another vendor had, I cancelled the order and called to the Floor Store. I asked them a couple of questions, basically I wanted laminate flooring, and wanted to know if I could keep my baseboards, they told me I would either need new baseboards or quarter round. Well the baseboards I had were new and freshly painted so I didn't want to buy new ones. I went to the store, and the general manager assisted me. I've never had laminates so I asked him how the quarter round looked, and he said "its a look", not in a bad way or good way, just a statement. It would have been helpful to look at pictures of floors with and without quarter rounds, but they weren't offered. I placed an order, the laminate would be ready in a reasonable time, but the quarter round would be about three weeks. So they came to install the floors. After the guys left, I noticed, two planks were peeling, and one was nicked. And there was still dust everywhere. I called and sent emails letting them know, they said wen they install the quarter round, they'll replace those pieces. I also asked, if I can cancel the quarter round at this time and just have the base boards installed since it was easier for them to get. They said yes, so we cancelled the quarter round and I chose baseboards. A couple days later, I receive a call, saying, not now I have to go with quarter round and the quarter round I just cancelled went to someone else so I'd have to wait four weeks. Finally the quarter round came in, got an appointment, followed up via email and telephone about the planks that needed to be replaced. Over the phone, the rep told me "I don't deal with that, you need to call the install manager." I asked if he could pass a message along, and again got the same answer. Left a message for the install manager, and did nor receive a response. So the installer comes over, and no planks. I ask him about it, and he says no one told him, he couldn't complete the job. Now I'm having to wait another couple of weeks for more product to come in and for an appointment. Finally, all the pieces came in. The installer comes over, installs and replaces. Part way through, I came to check, and there is dust all over my furniture (new by the way), so I ask if he was going to cover everything. A couple minutes later he asks me for sheets. Shortly after, he asks me for my swiffer. I'm sorry, but shouldn't you have come prepared? Don't you know you need something to cover furniture and sweep the floors? Don't get me wrong, the install guy was nice, and event told me I should have just used my original baseboards, and that it would have been fine. But this is a professional job, not a side job, come prepared. They leave, I leave, I come back, look at the work, and there are nicks/scratches all through the quarter round. What should be something that's eight hours old looked like years old and like there has been wear and tear on them, I took pictures, sent it to the GM, and says, "oh, well they didn't putty the holes." Why? Don't you know they need to do that? The installer comes out a fourth time (mind you I have taken time off work for each appointment before. Thankfully, this one was on a Sunday). He says they did putty the floors, but he'll try again. After twenty minutes he says he cant do anything, that's what its gonna look like, and maybe I should buy white quarter rounds. I just spent nearly $3000 on less the 400 square feet of laminate, NO I'm not buying white quarter rounds, I didn't even want them in the first place. I only got them because the store told me I could use my baseboards! So I email the GM and nothing. I would NOT recommend this store at all. I am so unhappy with my floors, and feel like I wasted $3K and such a small space. I will say that they gave me a great laminate cleaning kit, but after waiting over two months for floors to be complete, three days off work, miscommunication, being misled, being told "I don't deal with that" (where's the customer service??? And when I brought it to the GM's attention, he didn't even acknowledge it), a cleaning kit is the least they can do. The GM says he wants is customer's happy and he strives to please people and will tell you he will do everything he can to make you happy, he did a poor job in this situation. read more

If I could give a score with a minus I would. Our first experience with The Floor Store was a missed appointment. Several months later my husband decided to give them a try again. He told them that we had been stood up for the prior appointment and they apologized and said they had let go of some employees recently. So we met with someone at the showroom and brought home some samples. All seemed to be going well this time. Well that was until the time came for them to show up and measure our home...no call no show. So the husband calls and we are told "Sorry I got busy do you still want me to come?" We said yes because we really wanted a quote to compare others to. So he comes out and measures the house. Says he will have a the quote to us the next day...well the next day comes and no quote. Several days later and still no quote... The next weekend we go to the Home and Garden Show and guess who is there..."Oh I owe you a quote don't I" he says. Said he would have it to us by Tuesday...guess what Tuesday comes and no quote! We call the Concord store and they end up calling him who finally sends us the quote. Needless to say we didn't use The Floor Store as I don't feel they deserved our business. read more

So I bought carpet and hardwood floors 10 years ago with a "lifetime" warranty, three months after I bought it they had to fix a section of hardwood floor and they fixed it with no questions asked . Now 10 years later I'm having the same issue and they won't fix it so I sat at the managers desk for four hours she finally came back with a quote of $1800 to fix it I laughed at the remark she came back instantly with another quote of 1100 and I said you must be crazy laugh some more and walked out !!! Customer service??? The whole business model of such a store stems around customer service--they are not manufacturing tile--yet I received WAY sub-par service from sales rep Jill. There was a very simple project. Jill ordered the wrong amount of tile after knowing the dimensions (too little) and then took four weeks to get the rest. Meanwhile, she ignored multiple phone messages inquiring about status and once finally confronted said the tile "got lost" and needed to be reorder. Things happen, but it felt like a big white lie. Plus, she didn't know how much grout was needed and with eight pieces left it ran out... only the grout isn't cheap @ $99. A slightly bigger size would have changed things and saved me some good cash. I paid for her commission and what did it get me? Poor service. I should have gone somewhere else... Maybe this review will improve customer service @ The Floor Store or at least with Jill. read more

I echo Paul Y's experience - the warehouse set up my installation appointment for a Wednesday and the installer himself called to set up the appointment for Monday at 0630. Said he needed to be early! He "forgot" to run the cables under the carpet and when I called to ask to make it right, the response from the Sales Rep was "sorry, it's too late". I had no follow up from the Sales rep to see how the job went, let alone asked if there were any issues. I had to initiate a call to advise all was not well and there were problems. (there is also considerable "peaking" which David in the warehouse said would resolve in 3-6 months!) They took my money, ran and said sorry... I would not recommend this store because of the lack of communication and lack of customer service. read more

I've never used the Floor Store's services but their prices are much higher than everywhere else. We recently bought a house and had both a wood floor installation as well as a tile installation quoted by them that came in 2-3 times higher than other places. Given the reviews here on Yelp I really don't understand what could justify either their material or their service prices. I was looking for 1,100 square feet of wood flooring and had a very particular look that I had in mind. The reason for this is the wonderful customer service thanks to Cambria, the Design & Sales Consultant. Cambria was extremely open and receptive to what I wanted, and spent time going over the different options with me. She made recommendations for the ideal type of wood that would accommodate our busy household, and which brand would be best. She allowed me to borrow samples to take home and return them when I was ready. She is quick with email, which was a plus. I got a terrific price on the flooring, which could not be beat at any other store.
