So long story short, recently I wanted the cabinets in my kitchen renovated, and also the upstairs bathroom to be completely remodeled. I visited the competition and I wasn't impressed. (I WAS JUST EAGER!) So what did I do? I came back to M & N and I'm so happy. I was happy the FIRST TIME, and guess what I'm still happy that they continue their excellent work for the prices they charge. One thing that is priceless: peace of mind. We hired M and N to do some minor remodeling demo of our inside entryway stairs as well as installing new flooring in about half of our house (~1,600 square ft.). We were referred to them from one of our neighbors who highly recommend their work. We got numerous quotes and M and N was the most reasonable and offer the best value. Owners Jimmy and Mina were very helpful with the product selection/design and explaining the pro and cons of different flooring. They have a great team of remodeling experts so you can call it a "one stop shop" to get everything done without having to use additional outside contractors. The demo went smoothly and on time. Antonio who was the lead on the crew was creative in running some speaker wires around and through our concrete foundation that connect to our home theater system. A way I never thought of. He is also very consciences and detail oriented. Communication was excellent between us and Jimmy and Antonio. Phone calls and texts from us were always answered promptly from the beginning to the end of the project. Jimmy indicated it would take about 2 week to complete (we didn't think that was possible) and it was completed in two week as promised. I explained to the lady at the front that we were just looking, because we are from out of town and were just passing by. She was so friendly and helpful! She took her time explaining many of the products that we were unfamiliar with and let us take our time looking around. M&N was great. 6 stars! Yoyo (the lady in the store and was very accessible by phone and showed up many at our house to make sure job was done right) was great. Work was great. PRICE WAS AMAZING. We have a small kitchen. Maybe 12'x12'. If bigger, than not much bigger. We got big from local remodeling places, the big box stores, and everyone said $30k and 3 weeks (Which I've heard is standard because it's a small job so they price you at $30k so they either don't get the job and don't have to fit you in their busy schedule, or you accept the bid and it's $30k worth their time). Yoyo didn't do this. She said ~$12k and under 2 weeks. It ended up being Wednesday-Saturday and Monday-Wednesday. (I'm bad with schedules but this seems right). So basically 7 days. Demo in 1 day. Cabinets in ~2 days. Counter tops in 1 day. sink and other counter finishing ~2 days. So the work was done super fast, super efficient, and the workers explained everything, let us make changes as we went, we felt in charge and they passed any minor suggestions by us before doing anything. My wife had concerns with somethings, but this was all mid project, and we lived through this. So any concerns she had, she told Yoyo and Yoyo either fixed, explained that they weren't done yet and finishings needed to be done, or made sure someone fixed it. On top of the kitchen work in the 7 days, we got a custom bathroom vanity which we needed after bathroom demo and shower+tile instal from other company. So they measured for the vanity. Dimensions were not standard. Yoyo came up with an idea and got it done. The custom vanity with beautiful sink and marble top was in the $1-$1.5k range. And this was not a standard piece at all. Nothing online would fit in this spot. To add to that. We had already bought hardwoods, and planned to get them installed after the kitchen. When we told Yoyo this, she said they would install them no problem. So the week after the kitchen was done, hardwoods were put in in 2-3 days. Carpet out, hardwoods in. Multiple levels and ~1000 square feet with baseboards and trim. Our house is totally changed and we couldn't be happier. We have more space, new appliances, new floors, new cabinets, custom bathroom vanity, moved the fridge location, new sinks, soft close cabinets, soft close drawers, lazy Susans, much more storage and new hardwoods. Maybe 10 working days. The workers were very helpful. All were able to communicate with us. We were able to come and go as we needed without any concern for our house. Yoyo was a great middle man between us and contractors, but we were able to talk and discuss things too. All that work, plus new appliance and we came in just under $20k. Which is 2/3 of the $30k estimate we got from many places for kitchen remodel only. We basically feel like we live in a house we shouldn't be able to afford. Bottom line: Price is great. Work done fast and done well by very nice guys. Yoyo did the design work in the showroom and at our house. If you trust Yoyo she will make sure everything is done, and done right. read more

We are now two weeks into our job so time for another update. We still like the product, people, service overall but the delays have begun. The machine-like efficiency has turned into no work being done the last two Fridays or Saturdays (they did say they would work Saturday). So our 2 week project is now certain to drift into week 3. Yes, we expected delays and they have finally begun. The key here is that you are dealing with a one-stop-shop. They handle the cabinets, stone, tile, etc. and they send in their teams to do the work. So you save money over buying the same products piece-meal and having them installed. First, some context. This is not the high-service, custom experience. If you are looking for that you can find it but may wind up paying 50% more for everything (that may not be better at all). The staff is knowledgeable but before you do ANY remodel youhave to educate yourself (again, assuming you don't have a blank check from someone else's account). Know what you want and come here to get what you want. They can then help provide valuable perspective based on their experience on what they would do regarding your design, products they would choose, etc. But they informed what we had been thinking about, they did not really drive the whole process. If you need extra help, hire a designer and then go there- you'll still save money but have your own expert on-hand. We did that one time and it worked out really well. The people doing the work are great. The demolition guys were the one exception- that must be the job for the new guys and they were not that happy to be there. They complained about moving our fridge ("do you have food in there?" Yes!) and made quite a mess in front of the house that was not 100% cleaned up until the first group of installers came the next day. Everyone else was very nice but also very efficient and good at what they do. They took time to make sure their work looked good even when I would never have noticed. The re-did things without being asked if it didn't look good to them. Second bit of context, we are going for white cabinets in our kitchen. So the look of the cabinets, while it matters, matters a bit less since even painting custom cabinets will lead you to having cabinets that look like the stock product. Plus, as we learned, if those custom cabinets are bulit in California you may likely get a better quality, more durable finish with stock product due to regulations on what can/can't be used in California. For wood-look, do a side-by-side and see what you think. We did and thought the typical finishes looked good. What are you giving up with their cabinets? First you are limited by the size of cabinets available in any style. For example Product Line X may only make 30" cabinets and you want 36" - too bad, not an option. Meanwhile Line y has 36" but not the color/style you want. From a quality/construction perspective: in watching the cabinets being assembled you could see these were not made by craftsmen but rather in a factory. They do use staples to hold some parts together but otherwise screws are more common. But the surfaces you will see look well made and the hinges look pretty substantial. And things like drawers appear to be very well made with not a staple to be found and very solid looking tracks or the drawers. So while these are not top-of-the line cabinets they are solidly in the mid range (and the wood versions to me look as good as the white). Stone choices are also good but again you are not going for custom so there are some limits on finishes (some only come in bullnose, others flat). But we found the color variety to be good and they had a great range of tile choices if you need tiles. Hopefully by now you are sensing a theme. There are compromises to be made but we felt they were worth making. read more

After two more visits, they still can't give me the soft-close hinges I paid for. Service is still poor and one hand doesn't seem to know what the other is doing. You can only get prices when one of the associates is present- the others will literally, say, "Yo Yo will be back at ___ and she'll be able to help you." There is no reason to shop here when Kingway is just a fifteen minute drive. read more

We had our kitchen remodeled with M&N in October and while the look is great, the quality is just ok and the service is terrible. We were initially attracted to M&N because of the price and when we went to the showroom/warehouse Debby and YoYo were very friendly and helpful. Beyond that we have struggled with everything from communication, to supplies, to timing and beyond. Pros: The demo took a very short amount of time and they were ready to install cabinets and granite within two days. The contractors were very friendly and the finished look of the kitchen is nice. Cons: I was told I would need to be there the first day of demo/construction to go over our initial plans to make sure we had all the materials and plans correct. IF that had happened it would have saved plenty of miscommunication later as far as our wishes and needs. As the job continued there were constant "little" things that we needed communication about: which side to do the hinges on, where is our second soap pump, why is there a gap in this granite, are you sure this granite is sealed. They almost always gave us the run around and dragged their feet at every turn to communicate with us. There was a lack of attention to detail and no follow up despite us asking for help several times with a few odds and ends that they did not take care of. The worst part was the cleanliness of the job. I can deal with dust and a few odds and ends left over after a job, but they not only did not clean up trash outside, they stained our front walk with some kind of substance and even worse left a water stain on our family room carpet from a machine. When we asked them about it they denied it and never offered anything more. We are going to have to replace our carpet because the stain will not come out and we are beyond frustrated that they flat out lied about ruining our carpet and walk way. read more

My house was water damaged due to a broken water pipe. We decided to remodel the bathrooms as part of the rebuild. Jimmy from M & N helped us throughout the entire process. He came to our house and gave us a quote for the project. His price is very good compared to other quotes. Jimmy helped us in design selections for all the bathroom components. He started the job within a week and finished in 2 weeks for 2 2/1 bathrooms. His workers worked really hard and sometime worked late to finish the work for the day. One of worker accidentally cut some material inside the house one time and scattered dust in my house. I mentioned to Jimmy. Jimmy sent the cleaning agent to clean my house the the next morning. Jimmy is very responsive. He is on top of the project and communicated with his workers frequently. He always return your phone calls in a timely manner. He is also very accommodating. I worked on a flip last summer and used M&N to complete the project. The previous house I used another Livermore company with very competitive prices but they didn't have the white cabinets I was looking for. This house called for a farmhouse/ craftsman look and I think the shaker cabinets from M&N were the perfect choice. Now this was a flip. I wasn't going to put in custom cabinets and blow my margin, so with that being said, this product is perfect for what I do. They do have a higher line of cabinets that seem pretty legit and I would highly consider using those in my own house. (The flipper house got the base model of cabinets). I also installed their quartz counter top which I think came out lovely. My 5 stars is based on customer service (Yoyo is awesome to work with and very patient - I change my mind ALL the time!), the cabinets were delivered when they said they would be, and everything was installed (by my own contractor) within a matter of 2 weeks. The convenient part of M&N is that they carry most of their cabinets in stock and quickness is very important for my line of work. I'm looking to use them again this month! read more

We bought our cabinets from them and had them installed about a month ago. The auto close feature on a few of the cabinets has already stopped working. Two of the doors were screwed with screws that were too long and the sharp point sticks out. Stay away and use someone else and save yourself the headache. read more

if i could give this visit 0 stars .. i would . today our visit that was suppose to be very successful .. turned out to be very disappointing and upsetting . the lady who was working , seemed to be "afghan or middle eastern" not sure of her name because she never introduced herself or even greeted us from the time we first walked in . we were maybe in there for about 10 mins and we were trying to find some ideas for our new kitchen we were remodeling . my uncle went over to the keurig to prepare himself some tea and she automatically started getting upset with him telling him he couldnt use it . he then began to say " thats fine i dont need coffee anyways" . about not even 2 mins later .. she states to us all , " something is happening, i need to go to lunch .. its time for me to go to lunch , u guys need to leave " . we look at her and ask , well is there no one else here who can help us ??? and she began to say no its only me and i need to go to lunch , u guys need to leave . very unprofessional . we mentioned to her that it was terrible customer service that she was giving to us and we were going to mentioned this experience to someone ... after that visit of her making us leave , we decided we no longer wanted to purchase anything from this place ! the service was unacceptable and we were very unhappy ! feel sorry for the owners .. good luck to making sales in the future with this same associate. read more

I had my 10' x 10' kitchen remodeled in my townhouse and I am very satisfied with their work and their service. They installed can lights, granite counter and new cabinets. I liked the convenience of their location, it allowed me to visit the store several times to compare quality, color, price and configuration. The quality of the cabinets for the price met my expectations. I liked the speed in which they provided an estimate based on my measurements. It is true they provide a drawing on paper but I waited at least 3 weeks for a computer generated design from another place. I felt they were very generous with their time during the decision making process. Before the order was placed in, we went through each piece, compared it to the model in the store so I would be sure of what I was getting. they were upfront of possible complications when I requested slightly different items. My project was completed very quickly and they were very wiling to work within the constraints of my time frame for this project. Any errors, were quickly corrected after I informed them of the problems(all minor problems-details). I opted to stay home during the time of construction- they have a few teams and at times it was a little frustrating not knowing who or when they would show up. Usually it was around 10 or 1030 and they worked hard until 5:30. I usually asked the workers directly what was going to be done the next day and about what time to expect them. I really liked the job the granite team did- very nice seams against the wall and between the prefabricated slabs. They even gave me written instructions on how to care for my newly installed counter. Overall it was a very good experience- and I am very happy with my new kitchen. read more

Purchase date Oct.2015 I was planning to remodel my kitchen. I shopped around for cabinets online and got sample and made my list to place order. Meantime was looking granite counter top to arrange to be installed as soon as the counters were done (we couldn't wait too long w/o having kitchen). A friend of mine gave M&N address to go and see my options. When I and my wife went there to check the granite counter tops she asked me if I have purchased my cabinets and I replied am in process of placing my order and I want just purchase my counter tops. And this is how I end up buying my beautiful kitchen cabinets and later granite counter tops from M&N Granite. I am an engineer and wanted to assemble and install the cabinets myself (hardly accept others workmanship). Because I was installing myself some delays on deliver didn't affect my project but other than that the service and quality of the cabinets was outstanding. And I and my wife absolutely love the cabinets and grateful for the coincident we end up going there before placing my order online (not really comfortable buying online things I don't know the details). When I was about ready to order my granite counter top and asked for lead time despite of my expectation she said next week. I just couldn't be happier. Granite arrived as scheduled on time with two individuals (for installation one more person also came). The lead person measured and installed my counter tops with accuracy of under 1/16 of inch. It was beyond my expectation for sure because cutting stone obviously is not like wood and card board. My experience was excellent and planning to purchase lavatory counters in near future too. read more
