If you're looking for new flooring, you can't go wrong if you work with Julie Guerrero at The Floor Store in Dublin! As part of the renovations we were doing on our house, we had decided to replace our carpeting and most of our tile (kept tile in the entryway) with LVP. We wanted a waterproof, durable, scratch-resistant, floor that had micro bevels, minimal color variation from plank to plank, cork underlayment, and great warranties. We needed a floor that could stand up to an active pup, young adults, high foot traffic, and would work in both living and bath areas. We wanted a demo/installation team that would deliver a professional job. We'd pretty much decided on COREtec Plus as the flooring to meet our wants and needs, and The Floor Store was having a flooring sale. Thank goodness we met Julie Guerrero at The Floor Store! After discussing what we had in mind, Julie helped us select several different sample boards to compare; we ended up taking home three boards to make a final decision. Julie was knowledgeable on every aspect of our anticipated job. She helped us decide on stair tread style (flush stair nose), whether or not to cover or paint the riser (covered), if we wanted to keep the existing baseboards and just add quarter-round to cover the gap or replace the baseboards (replaced except under kitchen & bathroom cabinets where we added quarter-round). Although we were initially going to pay for the entire project without financing, we decided to finish our renovations by painting our home's interior (walls, doors, trim & baseboards), so we ended up partially financing the cost of the floor. Julie got us a great deal for 18mos/0% financing. It turned out that the flooring we decided on (COREtec Plus Whittier Oak) was in *very* limited supply, but that didn't stop Julie from tracking down enough for our order and ensuring its delivery. She coordinated the appointment to measure and determine what kind of and how many trim and transition pieces we needed. Julie coordinated the early delivery of baseboards and quarter-round so some of it could be painted. And of course, she coordinated with the installation department for our installation team - Luis Benitez Flooring Installations. Luis and his son, Marc, were also great! After they demo'd the tile and removed carpeting, they installed the COREtec flooring, trim, transitions. stair treads and risers, quarter-round and baseboards. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and meticulous in the execution of the project. Luis worked with and around my living arrangements since I was staying in the house through the installation. The inevitable mess and dust were minimized as much as possible, and everything was hauled away at job completion. This house has a lot of corners and angles, so the cutting and fitting of both the flooring, stairway, trim and baseboards required skill and craftsmanship - and the Benitez team delivered! New flooring not only requires a lot of thought and decision-making to get started and then through a job, but also work and coordination to pack up the house as if we were moving. I can't imagine going through this again, but if I had to, Julie Guerrero is who I'd go to for coordination of my project. Her knowledge was invaluable, her professionalism valued, and her friendly spirit appreciated. She was always available to guide us through the project and answer my many questions. I recently had LVP and carpet put in my whole house. It turned out a nice blend, but when carpet lined up with hard LVP Seam, the installer cut back the carpet a little too much. It's a weak area now that needs to be stretched and looks slightly like a bad mow job. My family and friends noticed it along with the bad hard seam connection. The store is trying to fix it. I appreciate Jacob Popeyus at Dublin, being patient and kind during this process. The corporate office and owner are hard to get a hold of, but Jacob helped a lot. read more

We are new home owners so we chose the Floor Store because we wanted our floors to be done by a team of professionals to renovate our floors from old hardwood to new modern flooring. Teza was our sales associate and his attitude was great. He was responsive and helpful during our experience. He promised us that his best guys will be the ones doing our flooring. We left the store happy and couldn't wait to see the finished product. Unfortunately, the flooring was done very unprofessional, there are squeaks everywhere and their excuse was because of the underneath floor. Them knowing there will be squeaks everywhere because of underneath floors they should've told us and we would've changed the floors underneath it too. What was the whole point of working with floor store ? If they don't address these issues before hand ? There are holes at bases of all bedroom doors, entrance door, and at base of glass walk out door. We contacted Teza multiple times unfortunately they are not able to fix those holes because they said the old floor was thicker than the new floors that we have chose. Our problem is you guys as the flooring company knowing this discrepancy in leveling would've happened you should've told us. This was not discussed with us. If they had discussed this we would've choose a different style floor. We paid almost 20K for a very sloppy work. We are extremely disappointed. Now with the rain last night we came home and there is water inside our house by the glass door because of the holes that they had left open. We bought wooden SPC flooring for our kitchen and living area from this store after our contractor recommended and after two months of installation, the wood cracked at various areas in the kitchen. We called the store regarding this but it has been a pain to get a response. Finally after multiple calls, the sales person who we dealt with told that she would open a claim with the company who sells the boards. Someone from that supplier called us and took some details. They said it could be an installation issue and they will come for inspection. That is the last we heard. We have been trying to reach out to the store people and they keep pushing it to the claims team and its been 4 months with absolutely no action taken on it. We informed this to our contractor, and he told us to wait for a response from the store team. Unfortunately we are still waiting to hear back from the store people. To me customer service is a huge factor to consider that store again or even to recommend it but it has been an absolute failure from the store people, not responding, not owning on what happened and we feel cheated. I just wished they realized what effort and money goes into all these renovation projects and for a home owner, it is such a disappointment to see things falling apart after two months. We consider it as an irresponsible action for not following up or even taking any action on it. We have been talking about this to our friends as well to get some suggestions but if anyone has any idea on how to approach this issue, please reach out. read more

I recently worked with Jacob at the Floor Store and had an excellent experience. He was attentive to my needs and helped me decide to go with luxury vinyl to replace my carpet upstairs. Whenever I called or emailed, he responded very quickly. Angel and Veronica were in and out in less than 2 hours and had everything cleaned up nicely when they left. Update: Since I wrote the review their store manager reached out to me and got the situation fully corrected. I am definitely pleased to see the management take their customers' experience very seriously even when it is a only piece of trim involved. ====================================== I went in looking for a piece of floor transition t-mold. I took a leftover piece with me and asked for exact same thing with a close enough finish. I knew finish wouldn't be a perfect match. After an hour, Alex finally takes payment from me, places the order and ask me if I can pick it up from their distributor in San Leandro because I needed the part sooner and couldn't wait. All was good until then. I go to the distributor and they hand me a different transition piece, apparently what I have goes with laminate and what they gave me goes with vinyl planks. That's when rather than helping sort this out, Alex turns completely unhelpful. He tries to convince me to take the wrong item anyway because it is supposedly better. I explain that won't work because of difference in installation mechanism and he had no help to offer. I sort this out with the distributor myself and another 30 minutes later walk away with the right part. All in all, these guys charged me for a more pricey item than what I actually purchased. I called Alex asking for the difference in price to be refunded but he keeps dodging me. After several phone calls I gave up. Alex essentially stole my money! read more
