After having a very positive experience with Sacramento Flooring, we returned to them to have some additional flooring done. Long, L O N G story short, our experience paled. In brief, the linoleum installer punched a hole in a water pipe and it destroyed an entire wall, furniture and floor below. Accidents happen, and we were very understanding...initially. When the installer finally returned, he denied it was his error. We call a plumber, who finds the nail in the pipe, and fixes the leak. We assume the installer has insurance for accidents like this. He wants to pay for it out of pocket, then when he realized it was going to be over $10K to repair, he calls his insurance. That has been a nightmare. After four months, the insurance company has not reimbursed us for the repairs and Sacramento Flooring has said the installer is a contract worker, and it was out of their hands at . FOUR months later, we are still out of pocket for the wall repair, the ceiling repair and re-texturing, the furniture, and the plumber who repaired the leak. Irrespective of whether or not the installer is an employee or a contract worker, Sacramento Flooring should stand behind their work. We hired them to install the flooring, not the contract worker. Think twice before you go to Sacramento Flooring. I posted this review in August after having no response from the company. This company completely denied any wrong doing, offered Zero apology, and showed horrible attitude. No follow up, basically just shrugged after I told them the problem. I do not recommend this company, because no matter how great the quote service is, it is the installation service that matters. They do not care about their customers once they get your money. Now on top of the installation, I have to pay $200 for a new toilet, $260 for installation, $100 for removal of the old toilet. I walked in to Sacramento Flooring and Carpet one , I was greeted right away with the 2 persons in the front desk Tod and Ehson . I explained to them what I'm looking the specific color , and a Type of a carpet. Ehson helped me right away and showed me similar to what I'm looking. Ehson wasn't in a hurry he took his time and he was very patient on me and he let me wonder the show room but he explained which area the kind of carpet I'm looking. Finally , I saw similar what I'm looking . Ehson and Tod encouraged me to take home the floor sample and bring it back in a week but since I'm not committed bringing it back within that certain time , Tod and Ehson ordered a samples and delivered to my house. Within 2 days the samples arrived. I called Ehson for my decision and he scheduled a guy to measure my stairways. But theres was a problem after I ordered , the carpet wasn't available but Ehson assure me he will try his best . He updated me the progress and he stated in the process of making. He continued to update . I was frustrated but wasn't his fault everything is slow since Covid . It took 3 months from the time I ordered to the installation. The installer they're great a group of Father and sons. Its not cheap but is worthy. I was hoping to order a non-toxic carpet for a baby nursery with a non-toxic cushion from a different state and have local knowledgeable individuals just install it for me. The night before we planned to move from San Jose to our new home in El Dorado Hills, we learned that the existing carpet in the new home had very bad pet stains / damage, and that the best course of action was to replace it. We had already sold our house and agreed on a move out date, and our house was already packed up! I was also pregnant and had a toddler, and needed a solution FAST. I called a few carpet places in the Sacramento area, and all of them required a lead time of 2-3 weeks to install new carpet. I then called Sacramento Flooring Carpet One and spoke with Teresa to explain my plight. Being a mom and an excellent project manager, she could relate and wanted to help. She offered to expedite our timeline by meeting me at our new home that same weekend, ON HER DAY OFF, so we could select samples, take measurements, and get the order placed first thing Monday morning. She was mindful to show me samples that met my criteria that she knew she could get within a fast timeline. On the phone that first day she committed to getting my carpet installed within 2 weeks. She didn't want to commit to anything sooner because some things were out of her control, and she would rather over-deliver if everything worked out. After several long months of research and receiving multiple quotes from various floor installers, I eventually chose Carpet One as the supplier and installer for renovating my ~1,500 square foot single family home. In fact, while I had held 4 different meetings with Carpet One over the span of 6 months, it wasn't until speaking with Teresa on my 4th visit did I determine they were the right choice for my needs. Here are my takeaways from the experience. THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: I can't speak highly enough about the positive experience I had during the entire process with Teresa. She truly knows what good customer service is and made sure that I was visible and "in the know" on every aspect of the process. She also helped scope the work to my specific needs and within the budget that I needed to stay under. THE WORK: The installers, Serge and team, did an excellent job and were flexible in fitting me into their busy schedule within a week's time of signing the papers. I have to give another hat tip to Teresa for pushing my work order in and having a good relationship with the installers to push me to the top so that I could meet deadlines with my other contractors. After the work was completed, Serge and team also cleaned all of the rooms so there was no mess. I've had some negative experiences with other contractors regarding cleanliness so this was a big positive. And while there were some imperfections left on some corners, Serge was happy and fast to come back to fix the issues. The warranty that Carpet One provides on the materials and installation is an extreme positive as well. It was hard to find a competitor that matched their level of warranty and based on my experience so far I'm optimistic that Carpet One will be there to help me through the years if anything should happen with the floor. Terrible business practices! The salesman kept adding costs onto the estimates after initial offers were made. The price ended up being thousands of $ more than what they said on day one. Also, installers were not careful: they broke a piece of my furniture, scratched my walls, and left the floor so scratched they had to return for 3 full days of floor repairs. When I told them of the scratches and other mistakes, they refused to fix them! I had to show them our contract before they agreed to do the repairs. I HIGHLY recommend you avoid this place. Their prices aren't even the best in Sacramento and you will regret buying from them! You will DEFINITELY regret paying them for installation! If you do go with them, and they refuse to fix what they break, call the National customer support. They will help you, but this sacramento branch is BAD!!! read more

We decided to stop by here after having a less than pleasant experience trying to get new carpets through Home Depot. It was the week before we were hosting thanksgiving and we were desperate to get the carpets in before then but were running out of time. We decided to give this place a shot and Teresa helped us and we were able to get the new carpets installed before the holiday. The prices and quality were so much better than what we were looking at with the big box stores. The guy who did the install showed up right on time and in a couple hours we were all good to go. This was great considering that one of our floors was really damaged and required more than just then standard treatment. I bought carpet from Carpet One when we bought our house. I was lucky enough to work with Teresa who was great. I purposefully picked carpet with a good warranty because, life happens. All went well initially and I even had the carpet cleaned regularly by the one company they said I could use and be within my warranty. Two years in though and the carpet was wearing really badly. There are only two of us and two little dogs so it is not like we are super hard on the carpet. After a remodel, we needed new carpet in one room. So I called up Teresa. When she came out to measure, I mentioned my concerns about the situation- she agreed it did not look right. We took pics and the very next day I got a call from the Carpet One Claims department. After a few weeks, Teresa- not even Claims- called to tell me that the company my carpet came from went out of business. Of course! Now I know this is not Carpet One's fault- but I did hope that they may try to make the situation right. Alas- they did not. Teresa apologized but it seems it was out of her hands. It would have been nice to receive a call from Claims or even a manager to apologize. Nothing. After working from home, I decided I am going to just eat it and replace the carpet myself. Teresa is no longer at Carpet One which would have been the only way I would have even considered buying from them again. Luckily I had her info so I could get in touch with her. So my experiences with Teresa were great but I was definitely disappointed to have not even received an apology that my warranty was not able to be honored. read more

We were happy with the product and the price. We didn't even go to another store. As with most remodels, we had unexpected delays. I called Elizabeth and she was very accommodating. She was empathetic and calmed me down when things were not on schedule. When the installers arrived they did a very professional job. They discussed the plan ahead of time and finished when they said they would.
