BUT, alas, here I am. 5 stars, but you knew that already, given the non-stop 5 star reviews that he has. And let me tell you, he earns every single one of those 5 stars in every single 5 star review, including this 5 star review. Rafael is professional, meticulous, friendly, respectful, and really does go above and beyond. It's great when you find someone that is a masterclass of their craft. It's good when you find someone that is competitively priced. It's nice when you find someone that genuinely CARES about their clientele and want their clientele to be 110% satisfied. It's AMAZING when you find a combination of all three. Seriously, you need tile work? Please, don't look anymore. You won't get better than Rafael. Book him. Be prepared to have your socks knocked off. If you don't believe me, well, then, believe my pictures. They speak for themselves. We got counter to ceiling herringbone in a ceramic 2x8 tile - not exactly a walk in the park, and a skill that definitely takes years to master.

Vitaly was the last and best bid. My husband and I were so impressed with his work. Our fireplace is gorgeous. Top quality materials were used. He went over and above showing us samples to help us pick the perfect stone and porcelain. They were careful and considerate of our home and cleaned up everything. His bid was very detailed. The job was done in one day. The price was amazing. He is very reliable, honest, personable, listens and explains the job in detail. We would recommend him and will definitely be using his services for a bathroom remodel.

It was time to remodel our outdated bathroom, as you can see from the Before photos…read more We requested bids from several companies highly rated on Yelp, some of whom never responded, and some were just too high. OC Tile responded quickly and was by far the most reasonable bid. Because of a supply delay on another job, they could start right away, which was great, but that also meant we had to make many decisions on the fly. In addition to starting before all the decisions were made, it was a rather complex job, including 4'x4' wall tiles and special plumbing for the tub. Kelly and Dave, the two owners, were very helpful in coming up with creative solutions and kept us informed during the entire project. They were enjoyable to work with, as was their entire crew. They are highly skilled, attentive to detail, and did an excellent job. We would definitely hire OC Tile for future needs.

Explained the entire process step-by-step and then did really high quality work. Our grout and caulking looks like new and all soap scum was completely removed from the tiles. He also extended our grout to cover our separate tub, which was a nice plus. Josh was very friendly and efficient. Also, Kyle was very responsive in getting us the estimate, very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend them for any grout or caulking work and would definitely use them again when repairs are needed.

Kevin spent hours pulling flooring samples and when we changed our minds and went from wood flooring to laminate, he just continued on, bringing us samples we could take home AGAIN to view. This made all the difference in the world. The other popular flooring store did NOTHING like that. He just left us to our own devices and we had to remind him to send the quote. Kevin was on top of it all, from helping us choose, getting a quote again and again, then the day of install he was here managing his guys. I used DC flooring because they were highly rated but these are obviously fake reviews. They gave…read morean estimate similar to many companies so I went with them. I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

Our floor was torn up in a hallway/master bath & master bedroom due to a flood. We were looking for someone to pull up floor from the spare bedroom and use the pieces to patch the remaining parts that were damaged due to a flood. He arrived and talked through our options with us and got back to us in a reasonable time to schedule & get to work. We had a quote from another floor guy but we really liked Josh & his quote was great so we were in. The work itself took about a day a half and the patchwork was seamless. He was able to reuse many of the floor pieces to fix the main areas and we are now off to get the remaining bedroom carpeted. We woulda went with him for this as well but that was outside of his scope. Nevertheless the job was done below budget and quickly might I add. He also fixed a linen cabinet that had been removed due to the water damage. He was meticulous and thorough in cutting and replacing the baseboards as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not find a better price for such high quality of work. Thank you, Josh's Flooring!

We engaged Sacramento Flooring Carpet One to perform a complete home flooring replacement project after meeting Teresa at the Cal Expo Home & Garden show (contract CG501065 - i.e. a legit review). They were affiliated with Gold River Carpet One at the time of our engagement. We had done a good amount of research and visited a few different suppliers, including wholesale and discounters. We were getting close to making a decision when we met Teresa... and we are so glad we did. She took complete personal ownership of our project from the very first time we met. She prepared a number of samples for us to consider after learning that we were not 100% in love with the options the other company had. Sacramento Flooring Carpet One had so many different options to choose from at all different price points. We ended up exploring the showroom and bringing home several options to evaluate. The engineered hardwood we picked off the showroom floor wound up being more expensive than we had planned for, but Teresa was able to work some magic on the pricing to make the floor we fell in love with work, with a reasonable increase in budget. Even though I'm certain Teresa had other customers and her own life to contend with, she was laser-focused on making sure we were supported throughout the entire process. Additionally, all the staff we had the pleasure of encountering throughout the project was equally engaged in making sure we were well taken care of... from measure to final installation. We had some other projects creating constraints for the flooring installation and performed some of our own demolition/removal and nearly all of the furniture moving to save cost, and Teresa worked with us to coordinate the timing of everything to make sure it all worked out seamlessly. As with any project, particularly an older home, Jack and the installation crew ran into a few hiccups that 35+ years of carpet had been hiding. He always had a solution and the change order process to deal with any additional work was smooth and did not cause delays. Jack and the crew even figured out how to deal with ~1/2" difference in floor height towards one end of the house, allowing for a seamless and beautiful installation. The attention to detail around doorways, transitions to tile and the stairs was truly remarkable. With all the compromises consumers have to make these days with customer service, professionalism and craftsmanship, it was simply astonishing and profoundly appreciated to experience the high bar set by Sacramento Flooring Carpet One, Teresa, Jack and their entire team. We wholeheartedly recommend Sacramento Flooring Carpet One. You will not be disappointed. read more

What an experience! First I want to say thank you for supporting my house hunting needs. Now for the whole story.... My wife thought we were getting a house we submitted a contract on. I found a better deal on metrolist and decided to cancel the contract for a short sale home my wife looked at months ago. I got accepted into escrow with this short sale home and my wife didn't know about this sweet deal. I was so excited to be in a short sale escrow that I can afford by myself. I wanted to surprise my wife and kids with a limo. I was getting a good deal on a $620K sold home for $390k!!! I was the third buyer because the other two buyers backed out within a year. I did some research and rating reviews (like always) on carpet companies and decided to visit S & G carpet and Carpet One. I decided to go with Carpet One because of the extensive knowledge and excellent customer service Jim had to offer. S&G Carpet had good reviews but they had different carpets not to my taste, and their customer service was horrible. After speaking with Jim, I decided to purchase over $12,000 in carpets for this 3,000 sqft home. I could have paid half the price for carpets from Jim but I wanted the top of the line quality to where it feels like I'm walking on tempurpedic. Well I didn't get the house after 5 months because escrow had expired. My agent had promised me the house would be mine within 3 months. I felt sick to my stomach and I had to tell my wife and carpet guy Jim the really bad news. My wife almost cried because that was the original house she wanted and now we're not getting it. After speaking with Jim, he told me he would hold my carpets in the warehouse until I found my dream home. He didn't even charge a holding fee to which I thought!!! That took a lot of stress off my plate. I fired my agent and I went with a better agent I met at work. After three months, my wife found a better home that was a little over 3,000 sqft. The home was sold and the carpets were installed in one day!!! I also bought some Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring for the dining room and received so many compliments from family and friends. Thank you Carpet One and I look forward to purchasing more carpets and Vinyl in the future. I would highly recommend your company to anyone who needs a good deal on carpets, vinyl, laminate, etc. Even though the carpets and Vinyl were expensive, I still ended up saving over $3,000 overall because of the special discounts they had offered to me at that time. read more

It has been decades since I had a home with carpeting. Not knowing much about carpeting I did some quick internet research then started shopping. I shopped around three places for carpet. I needed new carpet for a place that I rent to other people. The carpet stores I visited showed me cheap carpeting that they admitted wouldn't last a long time. Their attitude was "it's a rental, go low quality." One carpet store said they were quoting a good price with "free installation" (but the installation date would be up to eight weeks after the carpet purchase). Even with the other company's "free installation" Carpet One's price was less and Carpet One was able to install the carpet within two weeks. Part of the installation delay was me needing to have other work completed before the carpet could be installed. Teresa at Carpet One was excellent in pointing me in the right direction for quality nylon carpet with a water-resistant pad. Teresa educated me about padding, she answered my carpeting questions, and most importantly Teresa didn't have an "it's just a rental, put in cheap stuff" perspective. In the long run, I hope putting in quality carpet and padding may save me money by not needing to replace carpet so often. Other places quoted me similar or much higher prices for a lower-quality carpet and much longer installation time frames. The whole experience with Teresa at Carpet One was smooth, friendly, and educational. This is my first Yelp Review, but I feel impelled to post it. I was very nervous about getting new flooring, especially with all the horror stories out there. I went to 5 different companies to get estimates and look at flooring options. I look for many things when deciding on a company to do something important for me; whether it's a car mechanic, a roofer, or a veterinarian - it's not just the price I consider. I knew probably within the first 60 seconds that I wanted to go with Sacramento Flooring Carpet One. Teresa is extremely knowledgeable in every single aspect of the job - not just the product, but the installation and labor involved in each type of flooring. She thought of things and prepared for things that none of the other companies even hinted at. Even more impressive was the fact that when I had a sudden unexpected blow to my finances and had to down size the original job, she didn't even flinch. She spent just as much time with me to plan and schedule the revised job as she did the first time around. She definitely spent more time and effort on making sure I was 100% confident in my decision than any other company I've worked with in the past. She shows a genuine care and concern for my family and our needs and you can tell right away that she is there to help you make the best decision and not just to make a sale. Our family recently purchased a home in which we had a whole house flooring project completed by the folks at Carpet One. Having never been through a renovation project and knowing that making such a permanent decision is something that you just CAN'T get wrong, my wife and I felt pressured to make the absolute right decision on the type of flooring for our home as well as select the right people for the job. Carpet One was the first showroom we visited and we were wonderfully greeted by Teresa who spent a couple hours of her undivided attention explaining all of our options as well as what to expect through the process. We had such a great feeling but continued to reach out to several other companies to view their flooring options as well as receive additional quotes. None of Carpet One's competitors provided the same level of customer service or attention to detail to our specific needs like Teresa did. Teresa was there with us every step of the way to include providing us with a magnificent painting referral whom we also had paint the entire interior of our home. My experience with Teresa Higgins and her team at Carpet One really was AS GOOD AS IT GETS! My husband and I bought a new home in Rocklin which was double the size of our last home in Midtown Sacramento. We knew we would want to redo the flooring and the task seemed overwhelming since we had never put in hardwood in such a large area of a home. I wanted a rich, classy look for the floors, something that would be timeless and last years. I walked into Carpet One and was greeted by Teresa. I explained to her what I had in mind and she immediately put my mind at ease and assured me we would find the perfect hardwood and color for my new home. After looking at several options the next step was to actually see samples in the home. Teresa came out to my house herself and measured the area. There was some tricky areas that I was concerned about, some transitions where we planned to keep tile and she said her crew could work their magic to give it a clean transition. Once we decided on the hardwood, the process was quick. The crew was professional, neat, and treated my home as if it was their own. Teresa followed the process the whole way through, from beginning to end. The outcome, AMAZING FLOORS. She even went above and beyond and recommended a painter and carpet and tile cleaner that we ended up using. My wife and I embarked on the adventure of getting new floors for the house. We walked into the Rancho Cordova location just to see what they had and see about prices. We were helped by Jim Colvin, who normally works at the Sacramento location. It was a great coincidence that he happened to be in the store we walked into. Jim was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He ended up working with us for over 2 months before we finally decided on colors and options. He hand delivered a few samples that were not available when we were in the store, and he even stopped by on his way home a couple of times, just to check on the progress, and to see the final product. Before we decided to go with Sacramento Flooring Carpet One, we looked over the other reviews for them. It was a "done deal" when we saw all of the 5+ stars and rave reviews about the place and the employees. Here is another 5+ (wish we could go to 10) star review. I just can not say enough about the place and Jim. Another giant plus was the installer (Robert) who paid extremely close attention to detail at all corners and always had a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to see him and watch him work his magic. I know it is hard to really get the full experience from a review, but all of these great reviews should give you a very good idea. Teresa Higgins is the main reason we used this company. After we purchased a new home, we decided to replace old carpet with hardwood floor. Because the previous owner already installed tile in the entry area, and old style oak hardwood floor in the kitchen and dining room, it made us harder to chose suitable hardwood to match with the existing floor. It is lucky that we met Teresa. She is more than a salesman. She is very honest, knowledgeable, detail oriented and patient. She quickly knew what we want and led us to the right track. She helped us making the best decision for our home. We really appreciate her efforts to educate us with updated knowledge, find us the most suitable products and offer us the very reasonable price. I went in there with a floor sample of a particular company that I liked, very rustic,planked look. I was greeted by a flooring rep named Teresa. She was very knowledgeable and courteous from the start. Listened to my ideas and tastes and then showed me a variety of samples that were similair and even better than what I had hoped for. After taking several samples home, we decided on a very cool rustic maple harwood flooring. Teresa later came to our home and did all the measurments and soon gave us a very competive contract. We had a goal to have the flooring in( Living room,Family room, stairs, hallway, Master bedroom) by Christmas. Teresa coordinated everything, and hooked us up with a great installer named Jack. If you are looking for a true "flooring expert", go to this Company and ask for Brian. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but, WOW! , this time was a must. Let's be honest, flooring companies are a dime a dozen in the Sacramento area so I've made the rounds researching my options and spoke to many many "flooring experts". Admittedly, I'm indecisive and unsure about what type of floors to put in my house and have certainly driven my fair share of sales people crazy. Enter Brian from Sacramento flooring. My first flooring encounter with him was at the home show, after a few minutes of talking I knew right away this guy absolutely knows what he is talking about! We live in a 1948 baselite block home in Land Park, which has the original concrete floors. However, someone had put self stick tiles in the kitchen and 12" tile with 3/4 inch grout in the bathroom. Yes, 3/4" grout lines on the bathroom floor. I would have loved to have the original concrete, but that was not possible. Brian came to our rescue. He helped us find a simple, tile patterned vinyl to use in both rooms. He understood I didn't want to "put lipstick on a pig" and didn't try to sell me a product which wouldn't work with the house. Come time for installation, Dan and Max showed up. They managed to remove the old flooring from both rooms and install the new in about 7 hours total. They respected our home, laid plastic wherever they were going to walk, and kept the work area neat. They did a fabulous job and the floors look marvelous! Finally, Brian stopped by after Dan and Max had gone, to check on the installation and get my signature for completion. I HIGHLY recommend working with Brian if you need new flooring. read more

The people at Sacramento Carpet One are fantastic. Through our architect we had selected a wood floor from Sacramento Flooring Carpet One. Timing delivery was critical as the wood needed to be acclimated to house before installation, any delays would push the completion date of our remodel. The flooring was delivered and our contractor pulled some of the wood out for our review and inspection. The product was unacceptable. While we expected some wood knots, nothing like the multiple knots and goopy fillings. We refused to accept the flooring. Sacramento Carpet One was contacted the wood was taken back and returned to the manufacturer. We worked with Emir to select another wood floor and Carpet One was able to make arrangements for quick delivery of our new selection. It did delay the completion by one week but the results were worth it. We receive many compliments on our wood floor. The people at Sacrament Carpet One know their business and their commitment to service is the tops - highly recommend this company for your flooring needs. read more

My wife and I drove to at least 8 flooring stores in Sacramento to find that 'perfect' product to replace our ceramic tile first floor. We were really tired of hearing salesmen telling us what 'they' wanted. Our final stop was Sacramento Flooring and we were helped by Teresa. The reviews here can not describe how well Teresa worked with us or her knowledge and experience level. After more than an hour of no pressure, just insight, she insisted we take a large sample home that we liked and see if the look was right. As a result we purchased a Carpet One exclusive water-proof Luxury Vinyl Plank that matched so well with our decor and lifestyle. Teresa really does know her stuff and kept us informed at each stage of the purchase/order/pickup process. We will be installing it ourselves and the best thing is this product can be installed directly over sound ceramic tile which will save me days of demo work and aggravation. We had a great experience using Sacramento Flooring to remodel the flooring in our home. We visited the store multiple times to select carpet and luxury vinyl tile and each time Teresa guided us with suggestions and took her time while we went back and forth between colors and bands. Once the selection was made, she put everything in action and our new products were ready to install. Teresa was wonderful to work with. The installers also did an amazing job and when an unexpected issue arose in our bedroom with an existing metal structural bracing that meant the vinyl we selected could not be laid correctly the company sent an expert out and proposed a fix that kept the project on track. Additional padding was needed and the order was placed picked up and delivered the same day. The vinyl and carpet was installed and everything went smoothly. It was a pleasant experience working with Sacramento carpet one from the sales person(Jim) to the installers Dmitri et al. Jim was very accommodating to my needs and budget constraints. We originally picked a wood from a different company but from an unknown manufacturer, then we got to Sacramento Carpet one and was shown the same wood type but from a very renowned company(Mohawk) and they beat the quote of the previous company. We installed hardwood floors(glued down)to replace existing carpets and LVT over existing tiles. The installers were very careful, and was very knowledgeable of the whole process. The installers took great lengths to make sure the floor was prepped properly. The turnout was very great and the look was night and day from our previous floor. My Husband and I met Brian G.at the Sacramento Home Show. We were looking for a flooring company because we needed to replace our kitchen floor. We were greatly impressed with the answers that Brian gave us that day. A few weeks later we went to the Store Front and met with Brian, who was very helpful and answered all our questions and concerns. We took home samples of flooring and set a date for Brian to come to our home to get measurements and to set a installation date. After purchasing a retirement home, we visited Sacramento Flooring to look at flooring options. Our home is small so I wanted wood throughout. I was able to speak with Matt S, who I think was the owner or president, but he gave me so much info regarding my needs that I returned home with a tough decision to make about my flooring. The showroom was beautiful and large enough to make me feel like I had options but not so big that I felt lost. Pricing was fantastic and the overall quality for the price made me feel like I wouldn't get the short end of the stick no matter what I decided upon. I have had many bad experiences with sales people in the past, but this experience helped me see that there are genuine people who actually want to help.
