This was an unexpected but AMAZING surprise. We were driving on the freeway and just needed a quick coffee stop but when we saw the counter full of deliciousness, we ordered a few items. The Jam Bun (rhubarb with a ginger cream) was phenomenal! Bruh...that was sooooo good! The mushroom hand pie was delicious as well! Our toddler annihilated that! I am obsessed with the place, it's dangerous. Every time I go on a Costco run, I wonder whether or not I need something from Flora (the answer is always yes). What's made me fall in love with them is their consistency in delicious baked goods and not-too-sweet drinks. Their matcha latte? Warm piece of heaven. My fav baked goods? Their seasonal anything -- my fav so far has been the savory croissant with caramelized onions, butternut squash, feta and dried sage. Close second was their plum ginger danish. Drooling as I write. One new amazing bakery in Seattle open as of January 2021. Very different from all other bakeries ...different taste and flavors. I bought the chocolate cookie, blonde, lemon scone, focaccia bread and oat loaf. They were out of chocolate croissants I was surprised I got what I got due to the long line wiping them out of everything. So mad this place moved in soon after we moved out! But then again, our wallet is thanking us. Our daughter loved the unicorn meringue for only $1.25. I loved the double baked almond croissant!!!! We were so hungry after the Seafair and decided to try out this place as it had been on our list and it did not disappoint. First we walked in and were greeted by a couple of great people. We were able to ask questions and received really kind service. We're group of vegan/vegetarians we ordered the sun-dried tomato and mozzarella sandwich, a cinnamon roll, cardamom rose latte, a curry salad (I believe) and a zucchini tart of a sort. All of the items were delicious! We loved their rooftop view as well - Mount Rainier is such a beauty and it was clear for us to see! Thank you Flora Bakehouse employees for making our day a treat! What a fun hidden gem in Mt. Baker. Gorgeously decorated and clearly popular, as there was a line out the door on a Saturday noon trip. The pastries...to die for! Layers and layers of fluffy pastry. I tried a mushroom and greyere tart..and would do it again hands down. My son got the breakfast burrito which was stuffed to the brim with roasted veggies and tofu. It's Sunday at 6 PM and it's pouring down rain. My wife's bday is tomorrow, and I'm looking for a bakery that's still open, to get some cake. I punch in "Bakery" in my GPS and it says Flora Bakehouse is open, so I head on over. I get there, get out of my car, and walk to the front door. A sign says that the bakery is closed, but I try pulling the door open anyways. I am bummed, so I walk back to my car. As I get in my car, an employee who was in the kitchen runs out to me and apologizes that they are closed, and asks what I need. I tell them that I just need enough cake for 2. They run into the kitchen and come back with 2 coconut cakes. This act of kindness really brightened up my day. Thanks to this bakery and the employee who went completely out of their way, to help me out. I look forward to visiting again, during business hours. read more

would definitely try this place at least once as it's so cute inside with the beautiful pink and green interior. the actual coffee was rather mediocre but i would definitely not recommend the matcha as it's not the most flavorful. the pastries are rather good but expensive as two drinks and one pastry will come to about $25 with tip. what really won me over is the rooftop patio they have upstairs that offers a great view of mt. rainier which is nice when enjoying the goods from the bakery. the workers are very nice and it's very cool to see the bakers make what they're going to sell later that day as well. read more

I've gotten almost everything this place has to offer, and it's kind of a mixed bag, so I'm just going to list the items and what I think of them. Almost Croissant: BEST thing you can get here. Flaky, sweet, the perfect amount of almond and powdered sugar. Hot cocoa: second best. Sometimes comes a bit too sweet but that's fine. Thier whipped cream is awesome (one of the best ones I've tried) so make sure to ask for it on top because some of the baristas don't automatically add it (which is weird in my opinion, hot cocoa with no whip? Whatever, it's good) Pumpkin spice latte: way too bland/not sweet enough, like drinking hot water that pumpkin seeds have soaked in. Gross. Corn poblano cheese hand pie (I think that's what it is?): the best savory item on the menu. PLEASE BRING THIS BACK. It's been missing from the menu for like a month and my lunches are suffering. Any of their scones: way too dry, gross, do not recommend. Pumpkin tea cake slice: pretty good. Not the best. Not sweet enough but a good texture. Hazelnut chocolate cake slice: one of my most frequently ordered, nice that it's gluten free, not enough chocolate in my opinion. And now that we've gone through the items, I have a couple more notes. I think it's weird that only people ages 21+ can go up to the rooftop garden, but I really like the ambience to the main floor, it's very pretty. Everything is a little overpriced and if I set up shop right next to a highschool I would honestly feel a little bad, personally, charging 15 year olds 10$ for a large coffee. And then next, this place is based off of giving options of baked goods for people with gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan restrictions, yet getting soy in a latte costs a dollar more. Not worth it in my opinion. Still recommend this business as it's got some really good items but it does have its flaws. read more

Found this place more or less on accident and had an amazing experience!! My best friend and I were very indecisive and chatty and they were so nice to us here while we were making up our minds. We picked out a big variety of things including lavender honey latte, pumpkin bread, English tea, Boo-nicorn merengue, and cheddar and chive scones, and everything was amazing. My gf came home with a few items from the flora bake house. She got me the cinnamon roll because I'm a junky for them and the peaches and cream danish. I was left disappointed with the cinnamon roll. It's got an original look and is appealing to the eye. Too much bread for the amount of icing they give. Also just wasn't a fan of the bake itself. Decent flavor overall. The peaches and cream danish was superb. Incredibly flaky that got me to eat the exterior with pure enjoyment and to find the center was so well balanced and not overly sweet. But if I had to pick a favorite it would be all of them as each pastry was delightfully different. Even the drinks were unique.
