All City Coffee is on a busy corner in Georgetown, conveniently near a record and vintage clothing store might I tell you!! I hate sweet coffee. I loathe coffee shops that make insanely sweet drinks. I want to taste my coffee, not the caramel, chocolate, whipped cream- whatever crap other coffee stores throw in to stifle the coffee flavor. I made a points to tell the barista, "I do not like sweet drinks". She said "We don't make our drinks too sweet here". I have heard that line before where a coffee shop tells me they can make it less sweet with using less pumps. Or that their drinks are not sweet, and I take one sip and I'm in sugar overload, this was not the case with All City Coffee. My vanilla cinnamon iced latte was perfection. It was probably one of the best drinks I've had in a long time from a coffee shop. Coffee with smooth and bold and not acidic at all. Highly recommend. read more

Bright and airy cafe in the heart of an industrial section of Seattle. Ample seating, including a very comfortable grouping of upholstered chairs and sofa, and plenty of tables for solo work or meeting up with a friend. The coffee shop is located in the middle of an industrial area, right next to a major street. Because of this, street parking is limited directly outside the shop. However, the café has plenty of seating, making it a great spot for people who want to sit down, relax, and enjoy coffee while catching up with friends. The ginger apricot scone is amazing -- I love the balance between the apricot and ginger flavors. As for the coffee, it's pretty solid. I visit about 4 times annually while waiting for my partner (having her hair done nearby); this time I spent an hour on a dark rainy November late afternoon. A comfortable unrefined oasis serving decent joe, with low-key fuzzy-nice background music and relaxed quiet customers. Though I didn't have one during this visit, the croissants and other baked goods were enticing. Coffee: 3.0. 8 oz Americano. Dark roast with acceptable taste. Served in a thick cup. Service: 4.0. She was friendly and delivered what I ordered. Ambience: 4.0. Simple furnishings in an airy space lined by floor-to-ceiling windows. Inside are 3 large and several smaller tables, as well as some comfy chairs. When the weather is nice tables are available outside on the sidewalk. I've stopped by here a couple times, usually on my way to my car while chatting with a friend who wants a caffeine boost before hitting the road. All City Coffee reminds me of the coffee shops in the early '00s where people would order and stay, often typing on laptops with supreme concentration. I've never been here where that hasn't been a handful of people doing just that. I can't tell you anything about their coffee as I don't drink coffee but I can say they make a great masala chai. It is nicely balanced, perfectly spiced, and no odd flavors that I tend to only pick up when ordering from particular mass coffee chains. The service is always courteous and punctual. This review is long overdue. I really love this coffee shop because it gave me true Seattle vibes of late 90's and early 00's. I felt like was transported back to the hill (Capitol Hill) with kick ass Seattle baristas dedicated to the craft and art of making coffee. None of the pretentious bougie attitude and pure 100 percent coffee love. I had a nice chat with an associate and we reminisced about the old Vita and Bauhaus coffee. I really enjoyed my Americano and pastries. This experience paired well with heading to Phantagraphics, looking at locally pressed vinyl, and getting a burrito next door. I was around the corner at an automotive repair shop dropping my car off, and the service manager suggested All City Coffee. The coffee shop is cute, cozy, and gives off a welcoming vibe. The staff is super nice. The vibe was so on point, I ended up staying there to have my coffee and do some writing. Something is super calming about this spot. Really great experience with this coffee shop! I had a couple of hours to burn, so the obvious answer was to find a coffee shop and wander around the neighborhood. I ended up selecting All City, mostly at random. Extra bonus points for the super easy, 2 hr free street parking! Both parallel and back-in spots available in the area. The shop itself is very nicely lit with plenty of space and seems like it'd be a nice place to hang out and get some reading done. There was only one employee running the place when I was there, but she had a great flow to get everyone what they wanted and out the door. Pastries looked really good and they had a few pre-made sandwiches from White Knuckle. I decided to keep it simple - mocha with oat milk. The drink was really good. Definitely would have liked it a touch warmer, but the flavour was there and I'd definitely drink another one! read more

I revisited All City Coffee on 2/20/21 after a *long* hiatus. For those in the know it dates back before The Bitter Barista Kickstarter campaign 2/27/13 (wow 8 years to the date as I post 2/27/21!). Pandemic times, so I was masked and waited patiently in a socially distanced line. No issue with street parking either. No indoor seating, just takeout. Absent is the cool cafe vibe. Heck this part of Georgetown seems a bit vacant, sad face. I got a bucket o' mocha, rarely I ask for a 20 oz mocha. Pastry case looked forlorn as I stared at a broken peanut butter cookie. But one can't be a downer remembering times of nearly a decade ago. The lone barista was killing it holding down the fort. Mocha was spot on and energized me for the rest of my urban wanderings. All City Coffee is back on my caffeine radar screen. read more

Man this place makes the best golden milk. It's in the heart of George Town which is a very cool area. This coffee shop is very fun and friendly. The staff is always very cool. Lots of parking in the area. And tons of drinks and food in the area as well. All walking distance. So if ever in the area definitely stop by. They even got a lil bite to eats here. Great place to read or chill for a bit. I appreciated that it was one of the cafes open on the later side, as I needed a place to park myself before an event. I can't speak to the coffee but the herbal tea I had was great, and appreciated the clean bathroom and how I was able to linger a bit right around closing time. read more

A bright and open coffee shop that would've been missed if you didn't slow down and drive into Georgetown. The staff here instantly greeted me with a warm smile and light conversation. After perusing the menu, I ordered a latte and plain croissant. The coffee was pleasant- strong, decent foam and everything you'd need for a good pick me up. The shop is quite open with a lot of windows and two entrances for great airflow in the summer. There are long tables and single ones for mingling, studying and or working. We got out of the airport and were driving around and stumbled upon this cute coffee shop at the corner. It caught my bf's eye so we decided to give it a try. It's pretty quiet in there and I bet a really good place to get work done without all the noise like Starbucks or Dunkin. The barista looked like he could be mean but he was literally the sweetest and very helpful, and funny when it came to assisting my man out with a new coffee drink. He gave me all the fixin's with my peppermint mocha, which is my go to in the winter months. The coffee shop has a nice view of the Georgetown Mural, as pictured. When Jamie W. and I stayed a couple of nights at the Georgetown Inn late last month, we seriously did not know what a funky little bohemian neighborhood was nearby. We went to The Conservatory the night before to listen to some unexpected jazz (review: http://bit.ly/2rF52Er) and walked by this shop on the way back to the hotel. It was long closed, but we decided to come back in the morning instead of battling with the other hotel guests for the last bagel during the complimentary breakfast. Sure enough, all the tables were full up in the morning, so we strolled here to find it fairly empty except for a couple of intense laptoppers. Just meh The drip coffee was rough, bitter and tasted old. The chocolate cookie was stale and dry. The staff was humorless and honestly pretty rude. I spent a lot of years as a barista and I know it can be hard to be upbeat at noon if you've worked a busy morning shift but still, when a customer -when anyone - asks you a question, please at least acknowledge them instead of turning and walking away. Excellent spot to grab some coffee! My husband had the mocha and I tried the hazelnut latte. My latte was fantastic - creamy, nutty and with the perfect amount of espresso. My husband's mocha was gone before I got to try any, so needless to say he enjoyed it. The indoors is spacious with a lot of open seating and art on display for sale. Just having motorcycle parking outside is cool enough in my book. :) No, really, that's all fine and dandy but there's a bit more, too. I had a great grande vanilla latte and tasty squash bread. The interior is like a chill, toned down 70's lounge with white and browns - atleast from that long table. My coffee came out in a glass, so it was rather really hot - use a sleeve. Been coming here regularly for many years, it's always a dependable place for a good coffee and snack, one of the great Seattle coffee shops, I currently work down the street and was looking forward to coming here regularly. Sadly today the service was horrific, a one off doesn't warrant a bad review, but the interaction today was unprecedented. There was a person, who for a while I thought was the owner because she was incessantly talking and cackling, her manners were abrasive, everyone was cringing because she would not stop talking in a very loud voice creating an unbearable ambiance so I asked for a to-go cup and told her to her face that she was being so loud that I couldn't concentrate, she argued with me in a loud voice saying 'it's a coffee shop' totally blind to the fact it's normally packed this time of day but nobody today because the voice is so piercingly loud and obnoxious. Zero care or concern for any customer. Quickly I found three other coffee shops within a few blocks and will be shopping for a new breakfast/coffee spot. read more

A great choice for coffee in Georgetown. Placed in a spacious corner location, the interior is filled with natural light. Decor is minimalist and bohemian, with lots of seating and flat surfaces for working. I came here at around 10am, and the bakery case looked sad and sparse. There was a pile of day old scones wrapped in plastic, with the only fresh option being an almond croissant. The blonde female barista was genuinely friendly, and served me a perfect Americano in under 2 minutes. The espresso was robust and nutty, softened by the addition of creamy, smooth soy milk. They use Caffe Vita beans, which are easily some of the best in the country. The aforementioned Almond Croissant was dense, bland, and bready-truly a poor excuse for a pastry. I also find it strange that there was no offer to warm it up, although I am unsure that would have helped. In conclusion, skip the baked goods, but do not hesitate to come here for coffee. read more

My neighborhood regular, All City remains the indispensable Georgetown coffee stop, the best coffee in town by heads and shoulders. The quality has slipped of late, but could easily be back on-point with a little training and attention to product. The presence and malevolence of "hipsters" has been grossly overstated- there's a bit of everyone here, mostly working-class coffee-breakers, folks in computers doing work or homework, tourists...a good cross-section. Lately, there have been some new faces behind the bar, and the coffee, while still good, hasn't been the meticulously poured beauty it was before. My shots today tasted bitter and a bit thin, so I think they need to adjust their grind. Some baristas forget that pours can change as the temperature and humidity changes throughout the day- you can't just set it once and leave it, it must be adjusted. Vita, while a forgiving roast, won't forgive shots that pour faster than 18 seconds or slower than 25, and consistent tamping pressure is a must. The pastry/edibles variety and selection has been lacking lately too. While I understand that no retailer likes to see their money go into the trash in the form of left-over pastry waste, it is also true that people can't buy it if you don't have it. And, a solid day-old discount and charity donation program can take some sting out of the waste numbers. I'd love to see more attractive pastries and lunchy products, maybe La Tuscanella or Bakery Nuveau offerings, presented attractively in your case instead of just little brown piles of bready things. Oh, I'll still be a regular here, for now. But if it slips much further, I'll have to look elsewhere. read more
