Usually my interactions & needs were brief. Most recently, I needed a mind-reader. Sabina, responded with a gift for understanding dreams, inspirations, garbled communication, & run-on sentences. She's a gem! My specific need was a for different flower arrangements. I supplied a few vases & a basic color scheme. For the rest, she used some of her dusty vases on the shop's shelf & turned them into masterpieces. I had only 2 things I didn't want - no pink / no bridal. Beautiful bouquet and really accomodating customer service! I will definitely take flower seasons into account in the future when getting flowers, the last batch was definitely different from this one. The bouquet was a gift, so I can't speak to the price but they made my day. I would order again in the future. Editing two days later: the roses in this bouquet wilted the next day. I'm not sure what the issue is but I've never really seen roses die so quickly. It was the baby pink roses again. You would probably have better luck going to Trader Joe's for a bouquet that will last, for the money. read more

I did call asking for same day delivery as I have done in the past. You can see from the picture that the presentation was very poor. If she could not accommodate same day delivery she should have said that. It was embarrassing for someone to be delivered that bouqet. I received white hydrangeas from this shop for my engagement party. They came carefully wrapped in a box and travelled well over 3 hours to my venue. I was looking for a florist for my sisters gender reveal. We are from out of town and we're traveling about five hours to Monterey to do the gender reveal. She wanted a bouquet in the color of the gender of the baby. I ordered a blue bouquet- when I called to place my order I explained this and told the lady one the phone I was fine with shades of blue and fine with her recommendations which were irises, blue hydrangeas, and Bella Donna blues. When I went to pick up the bouquet I was very dissapointed. There were three total stems of hydrangeas, a few Bella Donna blues ( I think) they were not the right shade and they were purple not blue. They were also old and wilted and shriveled. There were no irises. She charged me $54 for a bouquet that I could have made for $10. I ended up going to Trader Joe's and redoing the bouquet. The only salvageable pieces were the hydrangeas and the ribbon. 0/10 for quality, value, customer service, and creativity! I wanted to use a florist since it was such a special moment- and I am so dissapointed with my experience. I feel ripped off, sad that this special moment got ruined, and would not recommend going to this business. read more

A very nice local flower market in Monterey. It has been around a very long time and apparently was even visited by Jimi Hendrix in 1967. When I arrived today the owner was away on delivery but helped me with my preorder immediately upon return. She is definitely skilled in her craft. The anniversary bouquet was arranged elegantly, and the flowers were quite fresh. You can tell a lot about a florist when observing their place of work. The space is very open with a sunroof to give all plants and flowers the right amount of sunlight. Pricing is reasonable, and the florist is a kind and thoughtful conversationalist. You can make orders on the phone easily. I would recommend arranging a time to pick up, in case they are on delivery that day. read more

Today was my mom's birthday and at the last minute I called and ordered this beautiful plant to deliver same day. I love how this place has been around since the 60's! The owner was super friendly and helpful. I told her I wanted to create a simple bouquet with red and white flowers. My dad is a big Alabama football fan and I wanted to bring him some flowers at the veterans cemetery. I brought my flowers up to the front and she put them together very nicely. I thought they had a great selection and great customer service. It's also convenient that there are two 24 min parking spots right in front of the shop. It made getting in and out and breeze. We were staying in s as nearby hotel and wanted to get some flowers for a family member. I was looking at the bouquets in the cooler (all in vases, ranging from $20-90), when the florist suggested I also look at the orchid plants (the small one was still decent size for $23). She explained how easy they are to care for- just water twice a month! You can even just toss an ice cube on them a couple times a month. Most of the ones she had were white, and one yellow. I made my selections and she made a matching bow for each. As she was reviewing instructions and getting them ready to go, my daughter asked her about some of the items in the store- mainly the small tubes for single flowers. She preceded to go in the back, get a pink carnation, explain how he tube provided water for the flower, and presented my daughter with it! My girl was sooo excited. The shopkeeper was so friendly and welcoming to us both, and I liked the quality and prices. Next time we're in town visiting family, I'll skip the grocery store and take my business here! read more

Definitely do not do online deliveries with this shop! I placed an online delivery for my Grandmother and went under the "occasion" option & I clicked on Get Well flower arrangements. I found this beautiful arrangement called "Teleflora's Sophisticated Whimsy Bouquet" which was supposed to arrive in a Vintage Butterfly Cube. When it arrived at my grandmothers house she FaceTimed me and it was a completely different arrangement. The vase was a clear cube and the flowers were not as pictured. I called this shop to inform them I was disappointed in the fact that this looked like a completely different arrangement. I received a phone call back from the "manager" who informed me the butterfly vase was sold out due to Mothers Day and the peach roses that were supposed to be in there were replaced with pink roses and they added more flowers to compensate for the clear vase. The arrangement was very small (not worth $50 may I add) and a phone call informing me they did not have the butterfly vase would have been nice. Also if the vase was sold out, they should not have it as an option to be purchased on their website. In conclusion to fixing this issue she asked that my grandmother leave the flowers outside to be picked up and we'll "call it even". So much for a "Get Well" arrangement. Terrible experience. Will never do flower deliveries from this shop again. Not recommended that you do either! read more
