That was very off-putting and made me question the restaurant's food handling practices. As for the food itself, the seasoning seemed off and the dishes were a little bland for my taste. It may simply be a matter of personal preference, but the flavors did not impress me. The restaurant is located inside a building and is fairly small. The atmosphere is a bit dark, which wasn't my preference either. Overall, the experience was just average, and I don't think I would return. The hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The entire team was warm, courteous, and professional. Emma greeted us warmly, explained their happy hour offerings, and made us feel very welcome. While we were waiting for our order, I also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Tik, and the manager, Goi. They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was happy to learn that they have live music this Wednesday night, and they also offer a 10% senior discount for dine-in customers Sunday through Thursday. We ordered basil fried rice, crab meat fried rice, chicken fried rice, tofu Pad Thai, tofu and vegetable Panang curry, chicken Panang curry, curry puffs, and several orders of steamed jasmine rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The tofu Panang curry and Pad Thai were my favorites--both were outstanding! Everyone in our family loved their food, and the portions were generous enough that we even had leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. This was our first takeout experience here, and it definitely made us want to come back for a full sit-down dinner. She came to greet us after the meal but recalling the experience prior to this it kind of pissed me off.. she did the same thing she could care less all thru out our dining time but she asked and said oh i could have given you guys something extra ~~~ hope you had a good meal but she was basically bullshitting i guess it didnt come across as being genuine. The eel was cooked perfectly and the tamago was seasoned well. Having both together was magical. The eel just melts in your mouth because of how tender and fatty it is. I also really enjoyed the cloud udon. The flavor of the mentaiko udon was savory and umami. The udon dish was nice and light, despite being a noodle dish. Overall, I highly recommend Tomoni!
