We were vacationing in the Asheville NC area and thought an E Bike Tour would be fun. We had never been on E Bikes before so we were excited to try them. Torin, our guide was absolutely wonderful. The tour started with introductions among our small group (total of 8 people). Then Torin explained how to use the E Bike along with great tips. He led us around Asheville, stopping at various locations to share its history and architecture. I felt safe and secure throughout the ride and the bikes were comfortable. Worth every penny. We did an E-bike tour of the River Arts District. The E-bikes were the best we've had on a tour like this. Not only was the assist mode super-powerful (much more than needed), but the throttle option made it more like riding a scooter - no peddling needed. For the most part, the tour was great and fun. Great ride through a small town. And, if you like beer, the stop of the brewery (where there were some great food trucks) was very good. And, our tour guide gave a great introductory talk about the history of Asheville. One opportunity for improvement on the tour - be sure to include the stops you advertise. We never made it to the Glass studio on the tour. (Went their on our own afterwards). At the end on the tour, our guide somewhat offered to walk us there, but the offer felt very half-hearted. 9/20/21. 10 am ride. Addie and Beau, our tour guides for the ride made the tour interesting and the Pedigo electric bikes made the ride effortless. We made five stops along the 9 mile ride to learn about historic points of interest. Our guides very knowledgeable about Asheville history. Evan able to answer questions along the way. A special site seeing stop was the Grove Inn with a history lesson, a photo shoot of the landscape surrounding the spa entrance and the story of the pink lady who is the inns longest resident spirit. This was a great way to visit the city from downtown to the Grove Hotel. There was history, food tastings and fall leaves to enjoy the ride. We were slightly concerned with our skills on bikes, but the team gave us instructions and a test course prior to setting off to ensure we could all handle the bikes. This was our first time riding an e-bike. The staff did a good job of explaining how to run them and suggested some routes that allowed us to enjoy our ride without having to deal with a lot of car traffic. We covered so much ground, we got just the right amount of history and overview of Asheville, and breezed through all the beautiful neighborhoods. The bikes are very user friendly- I kept trying to use the throttle with my hand still gripping the brake - total user error LOL! It's an amazing feeling to zip up hills with total ease and the route we took was really fun. The guides were so knowledgeable and patient- can't say enough good things about this tour. I found this to be a good tour! Although if you are not good on a bike or moped I don't recommend it because it can be an uneasy experience for some. What I liked was the experience of riding through the different neighborhoods of the city! And learning about some historical aspects mostly on locals know. We had the most beautiful weather day too!
