Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlor - (5/5) For the first part…read moreof our Valentine's Day (and 5-year anniversary) celebration, I took my wife to Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlor, a woman-owned cocktail lounge in Hartford -- and it was absolutely perfect for her. The space is stunning. Pink and green tones, chandeliers, fairy lights, leather chairs, and individual table lamps at the seating areas create a modern, chic, romantic vibe. It feels intentional and beautifully curated from the moment you walk in. We stopped in for drinks and small bites before dinner. My wife ordered the vanilla chai martini, and she loved it -- smooth, flavorful, and well-balanced. I had a cocktail with a reposado base (I don't currently see it listed on the menu, so I can't recall the exact name), but it was excellent -- smooth, slightly sweet, and very well crafted. For small bites: She ordered the smoked salmon. I had the stuffed sweet potato. The stuffed sweet potato was hearty and easily shareable -- which we did -- and there was still enough for leftovers (which I unfortunately left on the table -- still hurts a little). Service also deserves recognition. Our server seemed a bit young and possibly newer, maybe even a little nervous at first -- but he did a great job. He was attentive, polite, and well-mannered. When we had questions about the tequila used in the cocktail or what type of mushroom was in the stuffed sweet potato, he made sure to get the answers for us. That level of attentiveness definitely stood out. Between the ambiance, the drinks, the food, and the service, this place set the tone perfectly for our evening. My wife already wants to revisit, and that says everything. 5 out of 5. Perfect date-night energy.

They were light and refreshing, very smooth and very delicious. It's amazing to see someone's passion come to life where others can enjoy the simple things. To know that all of their drinks are made with five or less ingredients that are all natural! And a woman owned business. Chefs kiss

This place is a gem!…read more Anytime we're anywhere close to Worcester, we make time for a visit here. The drinks are awesome, and the place is a hub for the local scene.. artists, themed body salves, the owners make the space available for get togethers, music, and vibe. There's a sewing/stitch circle that meets here, live music or DJ. Clean, tastefully lit, spacious.. not a bad place to chill for a few drinks. The cocktails are inventive, anywhere from tropical to sugary to serious, depending on the most recent spirits and seasons. There's a big window right into the family-run distillery itself, where the whole show is on-site, from prep with straight ingredients, to fermentation to distilling and bottling. It's legit and down to earth -- the bottle prices are not pretentious either. Solid gin blend, not too floral or perfumed, good juniper & botanical backbone, makes a delightful G&T. Plenty of free parking behind SpicyWater. (Lucked out and ran into The Taco Dude for some good eats.. check out this truck!)

So many different great drinks to try. From their rum, to their bourbon you can't go wrong! Last time I was in I had their version of espresso martini, which has both rum and vodka which was awesome! And then had one of their fall apple cider bourbon drinks!

Full Munshine is a must stop if you're in the area, particularly during the current season of fall!…read moreFull Moonshine is a moonshine distillery located on the beautiful Hickory Ledges Farm in Canton. The drive here, no matter where you're coming from will have you grateful for this vibrant season, full of the most beautiful colors. Any New Englander, or their guest is sure to appreciate! This property is just stunning. It is rustic, homey and has the loveliest people working here. The inside is small, they had quite the gathering of moonshiners. They offered us samples of the Cranberry and Apple Pie Moonshine. These are potent and so tasty, just as the names suggest! We sat outside, enjoying the sunshine while sipping on the Moonshines. When a lady came out distributing more. One serving of each was plenty for me. Shortly after I went inside to pay. I was expecting it to be around $30, because there was a sign that each shot glass is $3. Well, it was all on the house, just because it was our first time! Full Moonshine is open on Sunday 12-5. Please stop by and support this small business that makes delicious Moonshine!
