    Breakfast Burrito.
    Adonis M.

This is a great spot to visit to grab a bite. They have a great variety of things you can choose from and you can't go wrong with any of it. The service is fast and pleasant anytime I stop by. Its a small location but its nice and clean. This time I went for the Breakfast burrito and its always good. It has plenty of egg, tots on the inside to add a crunch, and the fly sauce to add a creamy flavor to every bite. The burrito is a decent size and you will surely want to return for more. The green salsa is also delicious and adds a slightly acidic flavor to balance it all out. I will be back.

Had the fun of visiting with a friend and trying out some delicious food. I had the jalapeño burrito and man it did NOT dissatisfy my tastebuds in the least. Very Spicey and I substituted the basin for avocado glad I did as it helped lower the heat. My friend ordered the tot scramble bowl and it too was amazing looking she clearly loved it as she finished the whole bowl. We will def be back to try more. The restaurant itself needs a little more attention to cleanliness and upkeep but it is in an older building. The service and the staff were very friendly, kind, and very fast during peek rush. We waited only 10-15 months.

We were driving 2 hours to go to a museum and stopped here to grab some breakfast first. I am SO glad we stopped at this small location as their food and service was PHENOMENAL! The Lomo Saltado Steak & Egg burrito was very filling and flavorful! The marinade on the meat made it very juicy and tender. We added the salsa on the burrito as well for extra flavoring. Had I known there was tots inside the burrito as well, we might have not needed to order (2) sides, but dripping a hot, crispy tot in their famous FLY sauce was SO GOOD. Fly sauce is a mayo/ketchup based dipping sauce that just adds that additional layer of flavor in every bite. The Maple Oat Latte was sweetened by 100% pure maple syrup and was delicious! Not too sweet and not too bitter. Perfect ratio of oat milk to cold brew. The Strawberry Dragon Fruit drink was sweet, but also had a refreshing taste, especially during a warm mid-morning in the Valley! Lastly, the Maple Fried Egg Sandwich tasted like a gourmet, elevated, WAY BETTER McGriddle! The bacon was crispy and coated in maple syrup which soaked into the bottom bun, making it the perfect salty/sweet taste in every bite! The egg was the perfect consistency of runny and the soft brioche bun was a lovely touch. The pricing is reasonable, we paid about $54 for (2) people, but the portions were huge, the food was filling, fresh, and delicious! I wish the Flying Yolk could come make its way down to Norwalk, CA! This might be worth the 2 hour drive again.

I really enjoy eating here! It's such a cool place and the food is just so good! I brought my boyfriend here the other weekend. We both got some breakfast burritos. I got the steak and egg burrito and he got the jalapeño and cream cheese burrito, they were absolutely delicious! They are pretty decent sized burritos, so they are very filling! It definitely is pretty pricey to eat here, but the food is definitely worth every penny! And the salsa they have is a great bonus!

I visited The Flying Yolk to get a quick bite before my errands but I stumbled upon a secret dining treasure in Simi Valley. The hamburger meat stands as the main attraction during morning hours. The first bite of my meal required me to stop and understand what I was experiencing because the meat delivered both tenderness and juiciness with expert flavor seasoning. The egg and bun formed a perfect union which functioned as a tasty duo. The iced coffee arrived as my next drink. A refreshing experience because of its smooth texture and cold temperature which added a personal distinct element. The drink gave me a powerful energy boost which motivated me to DECLARE my readiness for taking on today's challenges. The atmosphere creates a peaceful environment which lets people finish their essential work without experiencing stress. 10/10 would go back

Flying Patty Melt is SO delicious! I added more of their signature sauce and it's amazing

Absolutely delicious! We saw a kiosk and missed the cashier when we walked in. I wish I saw the cashier, therefore I probably wouldn't have taken as much time ordering since it was our first time there. I'm sure she/he could have recommended some first time favorites. We ordered the Flying Patty Melt (omg, my new favorite breakfast sandwich), The Cali Fried (tasty!), the Strawberry Nutella Croissant (a dessert sandwich:) and a side of an egg scramble with cheese dish (forgot the formal name)...We loved it! The place was clean, the timing to get our food wasn't too long, and it was busy. There is outdoor seating. The employees there were very nice. Definitely will return to try their other dishes, and their cold brew!!!

    Lomo Saltado Bowl

The Flying Yolk is a solid spot for breakfast sandwiches and burritos, and it definitely delivers on flavor! I've visited a couple of times, and while I enjoyed the food overall, there are a few things worth noting. I got the Flying Fried, and it was delicious! The soft brioche bun paired perfectly with the crispy tots, making for a great contrast in texture. I was also ecstatic to find the Lomo Saltado steak bowl on the breakfast menu--it was smoky, soy-heavy, and packed with umami. It's not often you get to enjoy such a flavorful bowl first thing in the morning, and I absolutely loved it. That said, my only gripe is with the pricing. For example, the difference between the Flying Fried and the Cali Fried is literally just a slice of tomato and avocado, but it comes with a $4 upcharge. Their steak & eggs burrito is $21, which feels exorbitant - especially when "LA's most expensive burrito" is $18 and justifies its price with grass-fed beef and organic eggs. The food here is solid, and I love supporting local businesses, but the prices feel a bit unreasonable for what you're getting. The service is friendly and quick, and the casual vibe makes it a nice spot to grab breakfast or brunch. If you're okay with the prices, it's worth a try!

    Huckleberry waffles
    Mollee K.

A friend recommended this spot for a quick, delicious, and local breakfast. This place exceeded my expectations. The croissant-dough waffle was incredibly flavorful and flakey. The huckleberry cream dipping sauce had a nice fresh taste and a good portion size compared to the waffles. The flying fried was the perfect balance between soft (bun) and crunchy (tater tot's and bacon). Additionally, the fly sauce was a great touch of flavor. In terms of the atmosphere, I appreciated that you had the option of ordering on an IPad or in person. All the staff were super friendly. The dining room was a little small, so I would recommend ordering to-go. Overall, I wish the flying yolk had Arizona locations and will be back the next time I'm in Simi Valley!!

Solid spot for a quick, satisfying breakfast. The Flying Yolk delivers on flavor with stacked breakfast sandwiches that are both filling and made fresh to order. I had the classic bacon, egg, and cheese--crispy bacon, soft scrambled eggs, melted cheddar, and a toasted brioche bun that actually holds up. Everything tasted like it was made with care. The tots were golden and crispy, not greasy at all, and make a great side. Staff was friendly and kept things moving even during the morning rush. Tip for first timers: Try the Yolk Smash or Breakfast Burritozilla if you're hungry. And ask for the Flying Sauce--it's legit and goes well on everything. Great for takeout or a casual bite before starting the day.

I was greeted with a warm hello by Addison. The entire restaurant is decorated very nicely for Halloween. The floors, counters, bathrooms are super clean. The food is delicious. I got one egg and it's like eating 2 eggs. Their portions are really giving you your moneys worth. Their food is fresh and fills you up. The view is wonderful. My daughter & I sat in front of the window because it was such a nice view. The atmosphere is laid back. You have people of all ages coming in here. Everyone that comes in here are so chill. I love this place! The staff are warm and patient and make anyone around them feel upbeat. There is plenty of parking and since it's in a shopping center, lots of stores. This restaurant will start your day off right. Enjoy!

First Visit - Definitely Coming Back…read more This was my first time at Junkyard in Simi Valley, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the fish & chips, stinking fries, chicken Parmesan, and the Godfather sandwich, paired with a Cactus Cooler and a MadeWest Hazy IPA. Everything was excellent--from the crispy, flavorful fries to the perfectly cooked chicken Parmesan and hearty sandwich. You can tell they take pride in the quality and consistency of their food. What really stood out was the service. Anastasia was outstanding--she gave great recommendations, explained the local favorites, and made sure we had everything we needed. True 5-star service from start to finish. It's not easy to find a place that delivers both great food and great service, but Junkyard absolutely does. When we walked in, I noticed the food looked good. However, we came in to watch the game so we sat at the bar and read the menu. The menu is really overwhelming with so many options. I ended up getting the chili with two flour tortillas but you add to it like cheese, onions, etc. my fiancée got the chicken burger and I took a small bite, pretty good. The sweet potatoes fries nice and crispy. The bartender said all the pizzas are good which I believe her cause I saw a few people order them and they looked good! I also noticed calamari being ordered at a few tables so I'll def order those next time! As fun as it can be, the bar area can get a little rowdy. Wasn't the vibe I was going for but hey next time I know and maybe we'll sit at the booths. There's a huge parking lot and outside area to sit at. You'll hear many patrons describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Believe them. From our observation, reservations are highly desirable and may prove necessary for weekend nights. The only seatings available when we called a day earlier were at 4:30 or after 7:00 PM. We took the earlier, and frankly are glad we did. We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

We hoped the quality of the food would justify the cost, but unfortunately, it did not. After waiting a long time for our order, we finally sat down to eat, only to be very disappointed. * The Fries: These were thick, over-seasoned, and over-fried potato wedges. * The Steak Sandwich: Consisting only of steak and onion, it was incredibly dry and unappealing. * The Burrito: Entirely bland and lacked flavor with eggs and over fried bacon bits and potatoes * The Coffee: Even the iced lattes at the coffee shack were bad - tasted very milky with very little espresso and warm.
