    Breakfast Burrito.
    Adonis M.

This is a great spot to visit to grab a bite. They have a great variety of things you can choose from and you can't go wrong with any of it. The service is fast and pleasant anytime I stop by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its a small location but its nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This time I went for the Breakfast burrito and its always good. It has plenty of egg, tots on the inside to add a crunch, and the fly sauce to add a creamy flavor to every bite. The burrito is a decent size and you will surely want to return for more. The green salsa is also delicious and adds a slightly acidic flavor to balance it all out. I will be back.

We were driving 2 hours to go to a museum and stopped here to grab some breakfast first. I am SO glad we stopped at this small location as their food and service was PHENOMENAL! The Lomo Saltado Steak & Egg burrito was very filling and flavorful! The marinade on the meat made it very juicy and tender. We added the salsa on the burrito as well for extra flavoring. Had I known there was tots inside the burrito as well, we might have not needed to order (2) sides, but dripping a hot, crispy tot in their famous FLY sauce was SO GOOD. Fly sauce is a mayo/ketchup based dipping sauce that just adds that additional layer of flavor in every bite. The Maple Oat Latte was sweetened by 100% pure maple syrup and was delicious! Not too sweet and not too bitter. Perfect ratio of oat milk to cold brew. The Strawberry Dragon Fruit drink was sweet, but also had a refreshing taste, especially during a warm mid-morning in the Valley! Lastly, the Maple Fried Egg Sandwich tasted like a gourmet, elevated, WAY BETTER McGriddle! The bacon was crispy and coated in maple syrup which soaked into the bottom bun, making it the perfect salty/sweet taste in every bite! The egg was the perfect consistency of runny and the soft brioche bun was a lovely touch. The pricing is reasonable, we paid about $54 for (2) people, but the portions were huge, the food was filling, fresh, and delicious! I wish the Flying Yolk could come make its way down to Norwalk, CA! This might be worth the 2 hour drive again.

Had the fun of visiting with a friend and trying out some delicious food. I had the jalapeño burrito and man it did NOT dissatisfy my tastebuds in the least. Very Spicey and I substituted the basin for avocado glad I did as it helped lower the heat. My friend ordered the tot scramble bowl and it too was amazing looking she clearly loved it as she finished the whole bowl. We will def be back to try more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself needs a little more attention to cleanliness and upkeep but it is in an older building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service and the staff were very friendly, kind, and very fast during peek rush. We waited only 10-15 months.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really enjoy eating here! It's such a cool place and the food is just so good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I brought my boyfriend here the other weekend. We both got some breakfast burritos. I got the steak and egg burrito and he got the jalapeño and cream cheese burrito, they were absolutely delicious! They are pretty decent sized burritos, so they are very filling! It definitely is pretty pricey to eat here, but the food is definitely worth every penny! And the salsa they have is a great bonus!

I visited The Flying Yolk to get a quick bite before my errands but I stumbled upon a secret dining treasure in Simi Valley. The hamburger meat stands as the main attraction during morning hours. The first bite of my meal required me to stop and understand what I was experiencing because the meat delivered both tenderness and juiciness with expert flavor seasoning. The egg and bun formed a perfect union which functioned as a tasty duo. The iced coffee arrived as my next drink. A refreshing experience because of its smooth texture and cold temperature which added a personal distinct element. The drink gave me a powerful energy boost which motivated me to DECLARE my readiness for taking on today's challenges. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere creates a peaceful environment which lets people finish their essential work without experiencing stress.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10/10 would go back

Absolutely delicious! We saw a kiosk and missed the cashier when we walked in. I wish I saw the cashier, therefore I probably wouldn't have taken as much time ordering since it was our first time there. I'm sure she/he could have recommended some first time favorites. We ordered the Flying Patty Melt (omg, my new favorite breakfast sandwich), The Cali Fried (tasty!), the Strawberry Nutella Croissant (a dessert sandwich:) and a side of an egg scramble with cheese dish (forgot the formal name)...We loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean, the timing to get our food wasn't too long, and it was busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is outdoor seating. The employees there were very nice. Definitely will return to try their other dishes, and their cold brew!!!

    Lomo Saltado Bowl
    Megan G.

The Flying Yolk is a solid spot for breakfast sandwiches and burritos, and it definitely delivers on flavor! I've visited a couple of times, and while I enjoyed the food overall, there are a few things worth noting. I got the Flying Fried, and it was delicious! The soft brioche bun paired perfectly with the crispy tots, making for a great contrast in texture. I was also ecstatic to find the Lomo Saltado steak bowl on the breakfast menu--it was smoky, soy-heavy, and packed with umami. It's not often you get to enjoy such a flavorful bowl first thing in the morning, and I absolutely loved it. That said, my only gripe is with the pricing. For example, the difference between the Flying Fried and the Cali Fried is literally just a slice of tomato and avocado, but it comes with a $4 upcharge. Their steak & eggs burrito is $21, which feels exorbitant - especially when "LA's most expensive burrito" is $18 and justifies its price with grass-fed beef and organic eggs. The food here is solid, and I love supporting local businesses, but the prices feel a bit unreasonable for what you're getting. The service is friendly and quick, and the casual vibe makes it a nice spot to grab breakfast or brunch. If you're okay with the prices, it's worth a try!

    Huckleberry waffles
    Mollee K.

A friend recommended this spot for a quick, delicious, and local breakfast. This place exceeded my expectations. The croissant-dough waffle was incredibly flavorful and flakey. The huckleberry cream dipping sauce had a nice fresh taste and a good portion size compared to the waffles. The flying fried was the perfect balance between soft (bun) and crunchy (tater tot's and bacon). Additionally, the fly sauce was a great touch of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In terms of the atmosphere, I appreciated that you had the option of ordering on an IPad or in person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the staff were super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room was a little small, so I would recommend ordering to-go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I wish the flying yolk had Arizona locations and will be back the next time I'm in Simi Valley!!

    Avocado egg sandwich
    Linda p.

Solid spot for a quick, satisfying breakfast. The Flying Yolk delivers on flavor with stacked breakfast sandwiches that are both filling and made fresh to order. I had the classic bacon, egg, and cheese--crispy bacon, soft scrambled eggs, melted cheddar, and a toasted brioche bun that actually holds up. Everything tasted like it was made with care. The tots were golden and crispy, not greasy at all, and make a great side. Staff was friendly and kept things moving even during the morning rush. Tip for first timers: Try the Yolk Smash or Breakfast Burritozilla if you're hungry. And ask for the Flying Sauce--it's legit and goes well on everything. Great for takeout or a casual bite before starting the day.

Yelp didn't lead me astray when The Baker's Daughter returned as top pick. You can find The Bakers Daughter tucked inside a shopping center just off of Cochran and Madeira Road. The place is cute with a few tables inside as well as some patio seating. There is an open kitchen so you can see them mixing batches of fresh bread daily and racks of fresh bread out for fresh sale. A small bakery selection of fresh pastries and sweet bread selections. I ordered the chocolate chip espresso scone to try and was blown away of its flavor! So good and moist! Also we ordered an Avocado Tartine and the Sausage and Egg Sando. The avocado Tartine was delicious, I opted to add an egg. All so fresh and a generous portion of smashed creamy avocado. But for me the star of the show was the sausage and egg Sando! Oh sweet lawd this now tops my list of favorite breakfast sandwhich! And I don't know how I'm going to survive living 50 miles away from it! Made on baked fresh brioche roll, in house homemade incredible sausage patty with an egg and the most delicious chipotle aioli and tomato jam that I think I'm going to dream about it tonight! I professed my love of the Sausage Egg Sando to the kindest team member who was working the register. He was so friendly and he shared that some people say it's too spicy but my taste buds which don't really do super spicy thought it was barely spicy at all! It is seriously full of flavor and simply perfection in every bite! The team member also shared it was originally a "special" but so many people asked for it often it's now been added to the menu. He shared that the tomato jam, sausage patty, chipotle aioli and bread were all freshly made incredible sausage house too! I can't wait to find myself back in the area just for that Sando!

Whenever I go to a breakfast spot, I always try the biscuits and gravy and they came highly recommended by our server. They were very friendly and sat us right away and the first thing they brought to us was their complimentary house coffee cake. I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The biscuits were as big as my face and tasted amazing. The gravy was a white gravy the kind you would normally find on a southern fried chicken steak. It was a very generous portion, however I prefer a more traditional gravy with sausage. Individually, though the gravy was tasty and the biscuits were tasty since they were both made from scratch. The bacon was thick cut and crispy just how I like it. Next visit I am going for pancakes. The customer service was amazing. Seriously top notch hospitality. Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. Amazing dedication to a theme that actually works, and makes you feel relaxed and at home, at least for me (clutter confession in that statement . . . ). There are dining rooms and a bar area for further relaxation! The welcome was quick and warm, and the service was great. The menu itself is just as odd, almost like a child drew it with crayons, so I took a while to make sure I didn't miss anything, even though I pre-planned my attack on Yelp and their website. I was still overwhelmed in person! Kailey was a great server, friendly and efficient. I ordered the grilled three cheese sandwich (with Jack, pepper jack, and cheddar on sourdough, grilled) served with fries or chips - I chose the house-made chips, and added a side salad. The salad arrived first, and I had almost finished it when the sammy arrived, hot and melty. It was on a bed of chips, the amount of which shocked me! The whole plate was covered with them. I even took a large box of them back to the hotel for a later snack; they were too good to just leave abandoned. The sandwich was great, just the comfort food I needed that afternoon. There are other items I would try on the menu, so I hope to find myself in Simi Valley again. A great place with great food and service.

My wife ordered a burger and I ordered the cabbage rolls. My wife enjoyed her burger, but the cabbage rolls left a lot to be desired. There was meat infused with barely cooked rice, covered with spaghetti sauce. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. Our waitress was Tori was excellent!

An ABSOLUTE GEM in Simi. Pastries, drinks, atmosphere,…read moreservice... all on point. I'm obsessed with this place. You walk in and it feels like you are transported to a Ghibli dream cafe. Small and cozy, cute cottage-core hedgehog figurines with mushrooms adorn the entrance table where all things hedgehog are displayed. It's the small touches here that show what thought was put into this place; like fresh strawberry mint water (or other fruit water offered) and always soft French jazz bossanova playing in the background. The service is amazing, despite never seeming to have a lull- there's always a good stream of people at any hr of the day filtering in. So let's get to the food. My family has been multiple times now, and Every pastry was a sheer delight. Not too sweet! Just right. The pastry chef making these has meticulously crafted a curated array of fun unique options that seem to change often. Drinks offerings are organic drip coffee, teas, matcha and also hot Belgium chocolate or iced Belgium chocolate. Things we tried: Iced strawberry matcha with homemade strawberry jam Iced Chai milk tea Lemon brioche Strawberry curd brioche Curry ball (crispy outside delicious spiced lentil inside) Maple pecan croissant Cherry danish Pear danish Curry pie Chocolate orange silk pie Every one was stunning. This is an adorable date idea, cute morning or mid day treat, or for kids- I brought my nephew and he can't stop raving about it.

There are no cons at all for this place except for how much money I can spend here- that's dangerous! But truly, it's amazing, see you guys again soon. P.S. the strawberry matcha is haunting my dreams; just too good !
