You know it's important to give a shout out to extremely good service, now I have done a review for MB Grille before but we dined there on Friday evening and our service was very good. We had plans to dine elsewhere and when we arrived it was a sold out event even though I was never told that when I called earlier in the week that there was going to be a different situation (that is another story for later) So here we were a party of four looking to dine somewhere locally at prime dinner hour and striking out. My wife called MB Grille as we were already heading in that direction and talked to Alice and she allowed us to put our name on the list with the intent of us arriving in 10 minutes. We did arrive on time and the place was packed, we did get seated shortly after we arrived and Riley was our server. What a friendly easy going helpful person she was, answering questions that we had and getting answers for the questions she didn't have. Very attentive checking on us numerous times. We have dined here before and the fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection, Oysters are always good and the cocktails always spot on and refreshing. Big shout out to Riley on this one, great service is just as important as delicious food. And a great hostess such as Alice keeps the incoming customers flowing and happy and feeling welcome. We had such a great experience at MB Grille! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and we also really enjoyed the sushi, steak, seafood, and fresh vegetables. Everything we tried was flavorful and the portions were great. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing, especially for a Sunday meal, and the service made the experience even better. We celebrated my wife birthday with another couple. We have been here numbs times, love the ambiance and food. Sara our waitress was incredible even though it was a busy night Sara greeted us, we brought a bottle of wine to celebrate. she brought the right glasses for white wine and a chilling bucket. Came to MB Grille for happy hour. The restaurant is quite large inside, they also have a large covered patio area outside. It's gets pretty busy during happy hour and on the weekends. We tried the Sweet and Spicy fried calamari, crispy and not spicy at all. We also tried the mussels, raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, Poke nachos, and the fish and chips. I especially liked the charbroiled oysters and Poke nachos. I enjoyed the pineapple mango margarita. They have other drinks I'm sure you'll enjoy. Staff and service were great. Well 9 years later I'm back! Never thought I would step foot in this restaurant again after having the worst seafood experience of my life but WOW! What a HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!! The Calamari was the best we ever had! WOW! I wasn't thrilled it didn't have Marinara sauce but the horseradish cocktail sauce worked well. I used to come here often. Glad to be back and enjoying the food here. Services are excellent. Our sever is nice and efficient. Food came out fast. My only complaint was, one of the oyster on my captains feast was as big as a dime. Wedge salad, buffalo cauliflower, calamari, nacho poke, all are excellent. Also, I wanted to leave a special shout-out for the young man working as a busser during my visit (Hispanic, black hair, wearing a black shirt and pants). I was incredibly impressed by his work ethic. He moved a massive amount of outdoor furniture from the patio all the way to the storage ( assumed ) area entirely by himself. It was quite a distance, and I'd estimate he made more than a dozen trips, working until he was red-faced and breaking a sweat. What impressed me even more was that as soon as he finished that heavy lifting, he went right back to cleaning tables and helping out without missing a beat. I hope his employer recognizes what a dedicated and hard-working employee they have. It's rare to see that level of effort, and as a customer, it definitely didn't go unnoticed!" read more

Came here to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a party of about 10, and they assigned two servers to our table, which made the entire experience seamless and attentive. They start you off with complimentary sourdough bread, which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Spring Fling cocktail--light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. For dinner, I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filet was cooked beautifully, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. My husband ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, and our server suggested adding Cajun seasoning- such a great recommendation. It added so much depth and made the dish truly spectacular. We had a great dinner for three at MB Grill for my husband's birthday. The food was excellent, we didn't even have time to take pictures! We had appetizers of coconut shrimp and bacon wrapped shrimp - yummy!! I had the Surf and Turf filet and lobster tail - perfectly cooked, a definite melt in your mouth dinner. Hubby had Fishermen's Stew - there was so much Seafood in it - he took 1/2 home. Then my daughter had Harvest of the Sea which usually comes with marina sauce - which she doesn't eat and requested No sauce - Debbie our awesome waitress checked with the kitchen first before she completed her order and they made it with white wine sauce which she said was perfect and she brought some home too! Located in a strip mall in Simi Valley, this restaurant offers casual dining with wonderful seafood options and gorgeous mountain view in the patio area. When we arrived, we were seated right away and offered a booth table with gorgeous mountain view. As for the menu, the restaurant offers a daily special menu and a regular menu, and prices are very reasonable. For my lunch, I ordered the clam chowder and the tuna sushi roll. The clam chowder was delicious but the sushi tasted OK. My friend had the combo with grilled chicken and shrimp, and they looked substantial and delicious as well. As for the service, our waiter was friendly and attentive. Our entire meal cost around $66, which was reasonable for a seafood meal. Nice place to get together! read more

It was Amanda, the sweet server that we used to visit at another Simi Valley restaurant. We were upset when we went back, asked to sit in her section, but told she no longer worked there. So glad we found her again! She truly makes eating out such a wonderful experience. From the moment we sit down, she is warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She is attentive without ever making us feel rushed, makes great recommendations, and makes sure everything is perfect throughout our meal, and Friday night was no exception!! We had a wonderful dinner here! The customer service was excellent - they were so sweet and attentive - and the food was top notch. We started with drinks and oysters, which were a big hit. We got the half order of the oysters from Washington and the other half of the Baja oysters. The bigger ones (Washington) have more of an ocean flavor/stronger, but my family loved them both, especially with lemon and a bit of horseradish on top. The staff was SO sweet--we had ordered only 6 and they accidentally gave us 12. They just comped it and let us have the extra 6. So kind! For drinks, got the smokin' Old Fashioned and the Mai Thai. Both delish! For dinner I had the Parmesan crusted Halbut--highly recommend! It was delightful; like chicken piccata only halibut. Super tender. My husband got the sesame seared Ahi tuna, which he said was fantastic. Even my son's kid's meal looked yummy! He got the California roll with a side of fries. Overall, this place will be one of our go-tos now. Fantastic service and excellent food! What more could you ask for? read more

Food was great and service was very good. Our server was very attentive and polite and made sure to check on us every now and then. We tried the bone/in ribeye and fisherman's stew and both were very good although my steak was slightly overcooked past medium (more medium well) so I was only able to eat half of it. At the point I felt it was too late to complain about it but I'll come back and try it again as the rest of our order was very good. read more

I love MB grille.The food is delicious. The staff is nice and friendly. Bernie was our waiter?He could have come and checked on us a lot more than he did, but other than that, everything was great. We set out on the patio.It was a nice day, clear view of simi valley and they have happy hour from 1pm to 5 pm on saturday and sunday. During the week, I do believe it's 3 to 6, but you can always call and find out. Everyone loves a good deal, so come for happy hour.They also have daily specials monday through friday and specialty drinks. So if you're ever in Simi Valley, check them out. read more

We recently dined here this past Friday with a 4:30pm reservation. We dine here approximately once a month or so. We were promptly seated at a table adjacent to the bar area. Overall the service was very good. It was not busy yet but they seemed a little short handed but it was okay. We ordered a couple of drinks then our main courses starting with a salad. The service remained consistent but it was when we finished our meals our plates were quickly cleared and the check was promptly dropped on the table in which I paid including a 20% tip over a $100. dollars. We were not offered dessert but we were considering ordering one to split. As the waitress came over she bluntly said to us "this table is reserved". It felt like she was asking us to leave. We had a reservation as well but we didn't know you could reserve a specific table. We didn't ask for this table, They just seated us here. Our total time from entering to exiting MB Grille was exactly 1 hour. I guess it was just a bizarre ending. read more

The food is good, service is great, but spending a lot of money in MB Grille and coming out deaf is not acceptable. We went for dinner and Happy Hour was happening. They seated us right near the Happy Hour area and we (Husband & I) could not carry on a conversation. Note to restaurant please seat your guest away from the bar if at all possible. There were many, many seats open on the other side of the restaurant. No one wants to spend $140.00 for dinner for 2 and not be able to carry on a conversation with friends or family. read more
