Another great meal at our favorite spot in SV. We actually stayed locally on our way up from San Diego on our way up to SLO so we could eat at JY cafe. Delicious sandwiches and best onion rings. We ordered the hot wings to go, man they really are the best wings we've tasted in a while. Wicked good! They were busy, took a minute to take our order, our food came out pretty quickly. As always enjoy the junk decor so much junk friendly staff

Nothing's next. Was a large SFG pizza pie!

Been coming here for years. Everything is yummy and very reasonably priced. But the one dish we've never tried was pizza. Our waitress Anastasia convinced us to give The SFG a try (aka So Freaking Great). So much of a pizza depends on the dough, and this pie did not disappoint! Anyone can post pics before they eat their meal, but I only post yelp reviews when the plate gets cleaned! Try their pizzas, take my pictures as proof!

Heard about this spot from a few people so had to try it out. Didn't quite know what to expect. I loved all the funny sayings and quotes. When we walked in, I noticed the food looked good. However, we came in to watch the game so we sat at the bar and read the menu. The menu is really overwhelming with so many options. I ended up getting the chili with two flour tortillas but you add to it like cheese, onions, etc. my fiancée got the chicken burger and I took a small bite, pretty good. The sweet potatoes fries nice and crispy. The bartender said all the pizzas are good which I believe her cause I saw a few people order them and they looked good! I also noticed calamari being ordered at a few tables so I'll def order those next time! As fun as it can be, the bar area can get a little rowdy. Wasn't the vibe I was going for but hey next time I know and maybe we'll sit at the booths. There's a huge parking lot and outside area to sit at. If you're not there to watch games, looks like a cool spot to eat at.

I love everything about this restaurant been coming here since my son was born. (5/6 years) every time we see something new. We try new things and enjoy the fun. It's a unique expirience for sure. The staff the food the service but over all the ambiance is truly the jewel. Highly recommend making this a must go stop on your foodie tour this summer. The menu is hand written with handmade art and HUGE! There is something for everyone!

Wow, the Junkyard is amazing. There are so many options to choose from. The menu is so large. We had a tuna fish sandwich with fries and I had the chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was amazing. Our waiter Justin was fabulous. The decor is overwhelming. There are so many old school signs ,decorations, memorabilia all around with closed circuit TVs and a full bar. Happy hour daily at the bar. A very enjoyable experience.

One of those old-school spots that I try to keep open as much as possible! Not from Simi or anywhere near it but was at the Reagan library and decided to pop over for dinner. Had a FEAST! - Irish Nachos: Crisp kettle chips with chili, cheese and onions. Delectable! Was surprised at the quality of the chili - Hatch Green Chile Burger: Juicy patty, nice bun, fresh toppings, wish there was more Green Chile cause the flavor paired great with the burger - Reuben Sandwich: Corned beef was nice and tender. Wish the bread was crispier but took leftovers home and crisped up the bread a little extra till it was perfect. Loved the quality of the swiss and kraut - Had two GIANT beers as well All of this food and beer came out to like $60. A steal for the quality and portion size. It's a shame I don't live nearby cause I'd be here every week. Every server was also super gracious. Came by every couple minutes to check that we're good or to take away plates. Would love to come back.

Huge portion. Taste awesome. Best focaccia bread. Not very happy staff. I go there 5 times, only 1 time that the staff were looking friendly. Tummy hurt after the salad, maybe I'm allergic to something? ( happened twice ) Did I say huge portion? Love the cob salad, the cotton candy lemonade, pasta, calzone, and the fries. Super yummy.

    The Godfather sandwich

The Godfather sandwich was a hit with my husband. He loves the stinky fries with it too. It was crispy fries with like a buttery roasted garlic toppings on it. The monster weenie , was , a literal monster. It was huge ! I only wish that there are more than 2 onion rings on my plate than fries. The potato chips were crispy, but it has an aftertaste that I didn't like, but my husband likes it, he thought it was peanut oil. The French fries are good ! It was very crispy. The service was also fast, and staff was very friendly. Overall, the ambiance was great and quirky ! I love the little jokes on the wall at the restroom. This is a gem, and I'd love to eat more of the menu. Also, the margarita was $5 at happy hour ! We likey!

    Meatball sandwich and fries
    Heather B.

The place is filled with SO many things to look at. Talk about eclectic!! Love the vibe! Ordered the calamari - lightly breaded and great taste. Definitely a go to for an appetizer. And it is a LOT!! Ordered the meatball sandwich - lots of cheese and a ton of bread. The meatballs had good flavor, just wish it had more sauce. It seemed a little dry. Service was okay. The food did come out pretty fast after ordering.

First Visit - Definitely Coming Back This was my first time at Junkyard in Simi Valley, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the fish & chips, stinking fries, chicken Parmesan, and the Godfather sandwich, paired with a Cactus Cooler and a MadeWest Hazy IPA. Everything was excellent--from the crispy, flavorful fries to the perfectly cooked chicken Parmesan and hearty sandwich. You can tell they take pride in the quality and consistency of their food. What really stood out was the service. Anastasia was outstanding--she gave great recommendations, explained the local favorites, and made sure we had everything we needed. True 5-star service from start to finish. It's not easy to find a place that delivers both great food and great service, but Junkyard absolutely does. We'll definitely be back--and bringing friends next time. -Ian Lantz

You should take your children there! It is a really cool and funk place to hang out. The service is great, friendly, and the food is us delicious! There are many different plates. Try something different. Price is friend as well! Take your friend who is visiting Los Angeles there. They have 0 alcohol beer.

First of many anticipated dinner and a show evenings at the Junkyard Cafe. We went to see the magic show. Shawn McMaster was fantastic ! He is a very talented magician, charismatic, funny, and engaging. The service was very good, Unfortunately, I did not get our server's name. I really enjoyed the chicken pesto pizza . Delicious. Good personal serving size. Link for reservations to the show are in photo. $10 entry fee. Last Wednesday of every month. There is a different performer every month. See you next month !

I moved to Simi Valley from Los Angeles and I'm always trying to find the next best spot. I absolutely love the food here. Really great service as well. We had someone named Ali, very friendly. I had the garlic aioli tri-tip.

Yes it is and their breakfast menu is delicious👍🏼

Our server seem to be really new and not knowing what she was doing. It was frustrating having to ask for everything the whole time. We decided to get the meat lovers skillet, tricolor burrito, fiesta omelette, French toast. I asked for the shredded beef for my tricolor burrito, I also asked for no onions as this was another ingredient with this burrito. When I got my burrito, I thought there was a lot of onions. So I asked the server. She went to the kitchen and asked and was told that the shredded beef comes with onions. I believe that since I had mentioned, I don't want any onions, it would have been great to mention that the shredded beef already has onions so we would have chosen another meat option and not send the dish back to the kitchen. After I received my plate, saw so many onions, decided to mention it to the server and that's when she went back to the kitchen to ask, then realized it has the onions. And when I asked for asada meat, I was told it's extra. All this conversation, the server keeps coming back-and-forth to the kitchen, which was really frustrating. I end up getting the chicken, it was a good option. Our family liked the meat, lovers skillet, and the French toast Food was good however I would not be returning because the service was absolutely horrible

Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. We ended up wasting our time and had to scramble to find another place that could accommodate our group. What made the experience even worse was the way the staff handled it. While my dad was calmly trying to speak with the employees at the front desk to understand what happened, they literally walked away from him instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. That level of disrespect and lack of customer service was unacceptable. If the restaurant has different policies for major events like the World Cup, they need to communicate that clearly and make sure all employees are giving customers accurate information. Between the misinformation and the dismissive attitude from the staff, this was a terrible experience. We definitely won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting good customer service.

Jose is a fantastic server. This place is one of my favorites because of the 50's diner feels. I…read morelove it. Food is great. The staff all are wonderful and kind. They make you feel good while you are there. I grew up going to the one on Sherman Way in the valley. Today however it was a strange and different experience for me. Josephine was there and checking in on things. She was constantly asking the staff whose drink was their's and at one point proceeded to say loud enough that there would be no more drinks on the house for the staff. She kept asking people whose stuff was what. It's very unprofessional for her to be doing so in front of all of the patrons eating. Pull your staff to the back. Have a conversation back in the back. It makes me uncomfortable for the employees. It makes it hard to enjoy the ambiance because I feel for your employees. I'm amazed that no one has quit working there because of this. Be kind to your team lift them up so they can continue to help you be successful. Treat your employees how you'd want them to treat your customers. Because if you do that they will follow and go above and beyond for you. You may have been running your business this way forever. It doesn't mean you can't make some small changes to be better for your team. To all the Beeps employees please don't let her get you down. You all are wonderful and kind. Thanks for all that you guys do for all of us customers.
