Massive breakfast burritos. Packed with potatoes, bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. The ratio of egg to potato to meat was perfect. It came with sides of pico de gallo and their house made green salsa. The pico added a nice freshness to the burrito. The green sauce does pack some heat. This is enough for 2 people or breakfast and lunch for 1 person. I always call in the order. When I arrive they are always putting everything in the bag so it's fresh and hot. read more

Chef Burger II - Decent hamburger combo for the right price compared to other places. They had quick friendly service.

This is a Simi Valley gem of a breakfast spot and has long been a family go to for weekend breakfast family bonding time. Now that we live out of state, it's one of the first spots we come back to. I highly recommend the Greek Omelette, however anything on the breakfast menus has been a win for our family. Highly recommend to anyone in the Simi Valley area looking for a hearty breakfast. We have lived in the area for 25 years and we have always come here for breakfast and occasionally order our favorite gyro plate with the Greek salad as I love the dressing. Last night I looked up the menu on line to see what I wanted to order to go. I ordered the gyro plate with lamb and a small Greek salad. Online the menu says a small Greek salad is $4.95 when my husband got there the price was $9.95. When he questioned the price the girl told him that's the old menu. He paid his bill and headed home. When I opened the salad it was filled with lettuce, there were 3 olives, 3 tomatoes, 3 cucumbers, a piece of red onion and a sprinkling of feta. The dressing was not as I remembered it. Overall, it's the saddest Greek salad I have ever had. The gyro plate had less lamb then I remembered and it was very dry. The rice was not eatable as it was way too salty. I'm not sure what's happened but we won't be ordering dinner from here again. read more

While sitting at my table one weekday morning, I could see the dishwashing sink clearly. The dishwasher took the dirty silverware, put it in a plastic square shaped container, put dishwater from the sink in it, shook it around a few times, then dumped out the water and dumped the silverware on the drain board area. And that was the extent of WASHING the silverware. So disgusting. And the pancakes are thin, tough, and taste like uncooked flour. The eggs are flavorless. Toast is always cold. So the burritos are huge even if you have them put the potatoes on the side. You can order extra whatever like chorizo and it is very generous. Love their food. I ordered a gyro recently and they are pretty good except the yogurt sauce which is runny and weak. But the meat and the whole rest of the gyro itself was really good. Kinda wish they could fix up the place a little better and cleaner for sitting there. We always take out. read more

The food here is pretty decent and inexpensive and the service is pretty quick too. My main problem with this place is that it's filthy dirty. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 1986. I can look past the out of date tacky decor, but the lack of cleanliness in the entire dining area and from what I can see into the kitchen area grosses me out and is what keeps me from going back. Needs a top to bottom deep clean and some fresh paint, and they would have a line out the door. read more

I was so happy with the breakfast omelette I had. It was my favorite in Simi and most places I have been. There was a perfect amount of ingredients and the omelette was not dry like many places. Everything was great! I look forward to going back!! read more

I haven't eaten here in years. I remember they always served a good breakfast. I can eat breakfast at any meal. I ordered the breakfast special which came with 3 eggs, a very nice portion of hash browns, choice of bacon or sausage (I chose bacon that was very lean) and rye toast buttered. I also ordered a cup of very hot, very fresh coffee. The waitress brought my plate along with a bottle of Tapatio.and napkins and a pot of fresh coffee to top off my cup. One of the worst burgers EVER!! The fries were no better and the shake was so bad that I had to have them make me another. One of the waitresses offered me a refund which I rather would've had but they want to make sure they get every dime besides they only take cash. I would NEVER come here again even if I was paid. This is an out-of-the-way gem in Simi Valley. I was in town today for a doctors appointment and afterwards was quite hungry. Based on some personal recommendations I stopped in here even though it is a short distance from the freeway home. I was quite pleased with everything. First off, please note that it is called something like "the Greek Cafe Chef Burger" on the sign outside and at first glance on the outside looks like a thousand other Greek Gyros places in blue and white. Quite misleading initially, but not off-putting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Oh, and most important, they open at 0700 so it fits in with my early lunch schedule. The place was clean and busy at lunch hour. I ordered a double cheese burger combo with fries to eat-in. The food came in a very short time. Prices are reasonable, and the menu is extensive, from chicken to sandwiches to Gyros (no surprise there!). Everything was perfect. The burgers are fresh grilled to order and you can watch if you want to stand at the counter and watch since the grill is right there. The burger was cooked just right, and no ketchup is used in the assembly. It is optional at the condiments table. All components of the burger were fresh: lettuce, pickle, cheese and of course the meat. The size of the burger is what we used to call Texas-sized since it is the larger bun and patty size, unlike the standard smaller size used at every fast food place in the world (and many independent burger places). Quite a meal in itself, but the french fries in the combo were a generous portion, and were also perfect: twice cooked, with absolutely no potato skin, and with a sprinkling of paprika and other spice. Oh, and the brewed unsweetened iced tea was delicious. Chef burger is right. A true Chef builds a burger like these with fresh items, no ketchup, and peels and twice cooks the french fries, just like the Belgians do who originally invented the "French" Fry. My wife and I went there for lunch. She ordered a hamburger and onion rings, I ordered a cheese omelet and hash browns. Their hamburger was dry and the bottom of my omelet was hard. The onion rings were greasy, old, and with no flavor. The place was very dirty, filthy, flies everywhere (on the walls, corners, window sills), and the tables and chairs were sticky with dirt. We were unable to finish our food and my wife was gagging. We left the unfinished food on the table and left. Very disappointed. read more

Nice little burger joint that serves some excellent tasting food. The amount of food for price ratio is about the right amount if not more so, big portions. The dining environment could use a fresh/clean looking update though their is outside tables for fresh air. The way the outside seating is arranged though will be in direct sunlight light which can be annoying if you don't like eating in the sun. Time from order to receiving your food could be quicker though be expecting to wait at least 5-7 mins for your order. Parking is aplenty and the place isn't that busy except for lunch (noonish) time. For a hole in the wall type of place it serves the food you'd expect and is a good choice for a quick bite if in the area. read more

We have eaten at this place a few times and have had no issues today we went and my 9 year ordered a corn dog my 5 year ordered a hotdog ( they told lady what they wanted themselves) I ordered a cheese burger and hubby ordered club sandwich when our food was brought to us mine was a chili cheese burger my daughters got dog had everything but the kitchen sink on it ( now when a 5 year orders something don't you think they would of asked me if I wanted everything on it?) my sons corn dog was cold.... They did remake that and it was fine we had to order another hotdog for my daughter to eat I ate hubby's sandwich and he ate half the everything but kitchen sink hot dog and half the chili cheese burger.
