What a wonderful find while driving through Skull Valley! It's now a destination for us. The people, food, vibe are all %! You have to at least stop for a coffee, a treat, an ice cream and sit a spell either in their cowboy room or if weather is good, as it is most of the time, sit outside under an umbrella and enjoy the moment. This is a destination restaurant and shop experience! It is a great day trip down Iron Springs Rd for brekkie or lunch. If you prefer a Jeep ride from Prescott, take the dirt road--Copper Basin. We had the lunch special--the turkey pesto panini with either a slice of pie or cheesecake--for $16. We also got a yummy hot dog made just the way I like it with only mustard and relish. Service is friendly and with a smile. They have decorated the place to be cowboy chic. Lots of gift items are available in their shop area. There is outdoor seating available too. Overall it is worth the drive from wherever you are to try The Forge! We are already looking forward to visiting again. read more

A gem! We were visiting a friend in this area and were happy to find such yummy food and a welcoming atmosphere. I encourage anyone in the area to try this place! I would have liked to try breakfast but we left for our hikes earlier than they opened (8am on Saturday and Sunday). We did stop by again for banana bread and it was on point! Best food in town or any town at least within an hour. One stop shop Dog friendly and welcome 1. Love the outdoor seating, place is peaceful and this is how I like to have a nice lunch. The decor and everything about is really cool. 2. Customer service everyone was super friendly and welcoming nonsmoking I'm used to seeing now a days. Specially where I'm front. 3. Food was on point - breakfast burrito while on the smaller side had a lot of good flavor and the bacon was fantastic. Not some cheap Costco stuff. The salsa had a lot of flavor and was very herbaceous, which I like because then you could use it for a lot of different things. - also had to grab something out of the pastry box and today I decided on a doughnut which was really good. The dough was not oily. Had a nice texture to it. It was very filling and I would definitely recommend these. I have also had the cookies from this place many times before and I would recommend all of them specially, the walnut sesame seed or the molasses. -Iced coffee, definitely the best plain iced coffee I've ever had had a lot of flavor. Cute place for a stop on the way back to Prescitt. The turkey pesto sandwich was pretty good (was not offered a piece of pie). My friend wanted a salad, but none on the menu wouldn't have been hard to throw that together. read more

My friend and I stopped at The Forge on our way to Prescott because we had heard they made a great iced latte, and we had to try one for ourselves! And boy were they right! It was everything described to us and More! I've not had the pleasure of eating there yet, but that will happen very soon. Their daily menu looks awesome! Aside from their food, they have a farm store where you can purchase locally grown beef, breads, pastries, etc, or shop in their unique gift store.If you're passing through Skull Valley, you owe it to yourself to stop in and take a look around, it's always busy there for a reason! First of all, these people have done a tremendous job with improving the building of this old gas station and renovating the property. It's very attractive, and a great place to stop. The people there are very nice, and that alone is worthwhile to me as a patron. Next: unlike many places you encounter on the drive from Wickenburg to Prescott, their menu items haven't been poured from a can or jar. Their smoothies are well worth the stop, and their breakfast is excellent -- superlative considering that this is a long way from most towns of any size, and the rule generally is that the farther away from a town, the worse the quality. Not here: I've had breakfast and lunch here, and both were very good. Here's a secret I'll share: their smoothies are better than what you'll find in Wickenburg (which isn't difficult at all to beat) or in Prescott -- and that's saying a lot. Their Skull Valley t-shirts and hoodies are collector's items, and the goods they sell in what used to be a garage shouldn't be missed. All members of our family have received a Skull Valley tee for a Christmas or birthday present, and we get requests to stop in and buy another from time to time: gives us another excuse to stop. What's more, The Forge is dog-friendly. Extra star for that! Their menu has something for everyone. Great coffee! We hope they do well, and will stop there to support this local business -- which we hope will put Skull Valley back on the map. Please try them out: hopefully, you'll enjoy stopping there on your next drive through... and will become regulars as we have. read more

My husband & I have passed this restaurant several times on our way to and from California. We live in Prescott and decided to make a day trip. My husband had the cheeseburger I had the turkey and pesto sandwich. Both were delicious. The service was excellent the gentleman that helped us at the counter and talk to us out on the patio couldn't have been nicer. Probably would sit inside the next time we go there and there will be a next time. The motorcycles and the Flies were a bit annoying. I have already sent a text to my book club ladies suggesting that they make this a stop or like we did today a day trip. read more

I drove by a few times in my car and thought this would be a cool place to grab a coffee on one of my dirtbike adventures. I stopped in and to my surprise, this place is very well laid out. Lots of cool cubby holes to sit inside, merchandise, pastries, coffee, and a great lunch menu. Hats off to the new ownership they've done a real good job in the decor. Wow love love this place . My husband and I stopped in for breakfast today and this lil gem does not disappoint. The friendly welcome when you enter to the absolutely beautiful outdoor space to eat outside. The indoor is so adorable as well and would be great on a cold winter day!
