If your looking for a basic cocktail drink Like a basic Moscow mule They don't even know how to make it. First bartender told me what is that? She asked her colleague how to make it. They'd had to look it up. I asked a different bartender for a refill and she made her version of if it. Which is where I closed it out. She added some. Other flavor coloring I don't know what it's was but it was pink. I said it's not a Moscow and she replied that's how I make it!!! You will get charged over 8 bucks and it's not what you asked for! lol i Drinks aren't cheap these days and these girls have no clue! This is a club right? I finished dinner with family in the area and was heading back to the hotel. It was early so Yelping led me here. I missed my initial turn into the parking lot and had to turn around to park on the street. There's parking in the back but easily missed with poor lighting and signage. I had to come at a dead time. There was probably 15 patrons at the bar and just me sitting at the table. In fact the only one sitting at any table. It wasn't too bad at first. There's plenty of TVs to watch games and the music I enjoyed. I'm an 80's/house music guy and that's what the DJ mostly played. Bottles are reasonable. It was $5 per Heineken and the waitress would check in me about every 20 mins or so. Overall two stars. Location ok and the service was ok. It's mostly a regular customer type of place in my opinion. If I lived in the area, maybe I'll come here if more people showed up and I was working on my brew badge. Now excuse me, I'm heading out to grab some food. M read more

I LOVE this place! A friend of mine came into town and asked me to take him to a Filipino bar/club. I used Yelp and found this place in Chula Vista. What a delightful find! The first people I met were Pi and LaDonna, bartenders. They are SO awesome, and great company; lots of fun. The club has many TVs showing sports, 3 pool tables, a jukebox, and on Fridays & Saturdays- a live DJ! I have also stumbled across a birthday party here, fully catered, with all the ladies dressed to a theme (theme night). I guess that happens on Fridays. I recently met Joy, Jane, Lilly, Siem, and others who's names I can't remember, but all fantastic people! I love this spot. The Saturday DJ is BANGING too! Overall, a great hole in the wall for an after work drink, to watch ur favorite games on multiple screens or the large projector screen, or for dancing/clubbing on a Friday or Saturday night. This place ripped right out of The Twilight Zone or a scene from a bad movie set in Asia...like Bangkok Dangerous. So trippy that you can catch some Uncles singing some Lil' John rap songs that will get the whole place yelling "EYYYYYYY" This place really is a Star Bar #2. The differences are that they are locations and size of the establishments. Honestly, when I first walked into this place I didnt know what to expect, but from the outside you can stereotypically say that it looks sketchy, but honestly, I think the spot is pretty interesting. It's got ladies in exotic outfits--at least on the night I went--who are enticing you to get drunk. They are younger too, not some trophy lounge aunties. The crowd is very diverse with people from all ages and ethnic backgrounds. This adds to the nutty karaoke singing that occurs as people slowly get blotto into the evening. The drinks are cheap and I really dont know if they pour heavy since i didnt drink any mixed drinks that night. What can I say about this place? I had seen this place as I was driving by and was scared because I thought it was a biker bar. I'm glad I decided to go in. It's the best bar in Chula Vista!!!! Formosa has the most friendly and may I add beautiful bartenders bar none!!! April and Jane are truly the best Mixologists EVER!! You name it, they will make it. Every Friday is a themed night, and guys you will not be disappointed!! When in the Formosa with the Mosta, ask April to make you the "Rainbow Shots"(makes 6), and just so you know; Jane makes the best "White Russian." When you are in the mood for the best "Wet Pu$$y or Blowjob Shot, this is the place to wet your whistle. Full bar however, there is no draft beer available. Non the lest with a 5 for $10 domestics beer special (on Tues and Thurs I think), you can't beat it. During football season, you can expect some free food!!! Pretty mixed crowd in here and it looks like a lot of them are regulars because our waitress Pricilla immediately recognized that we were new! Reading the reviews theres not much more that i can add thats not already been said. WoW! Star Bar #2 for sure expect theses ladies let there a** hang out literally. Its an atmosphere that defenitly will entertain u from the women workn there to the crowd. They have 3 pool tables that most people are occupying and a juke box u can play your own music. Friendly staff and the "regular men customers" were ever so willing to help out the ladies behind bar or anywhere else they were needed around the establishment. $15 for 4 beers was a good price so that would probably be the only reason to come back and be entertained again. I came in on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends and felt like I was in an asian whore house! The male customers seemed creepy, taking pictures and videos of the bartenders dancing in bathing suits and lingerie. As a woman I felt uncomfortable and would not come back to this bar unless the atmosphere changes. The drinks were over priced and I didn't like the bartenders overselling my friend's drinks and shots. The music was HOT & the DJ was cute. Honestly, based off the girls at this place and their hospitality I would give this bar 4 stars. They are gorgeous, very friendly and attentive. However, I was relaxing having a few beers when I noticed an inebriated patron to my left in which the owner was sitting next to him or rather on him. They talked him into paying for music and he made the grand mistake of pulling out a wad of cash ($20's and $100's). Needless to say the owner got very excited and she invoked her cunning ways. The inebriated patron was going to leave and drive when the owner stopped him. I thought that was a genuine gesture as she didn't want him to drink & drive. To my dismay, she convinced him to stay and rounded up all the girls. Within the span of 1 hr, he must of done 6 shots. Not only did he buy 6 shots for himself, but he also bought each girl a shot. Every round was $28.00-42.00 and towards the end of the hour drink fest, even the girls stopped doing shots. Instead they chose to sip a little and pour the rest out. During this time, the owner continued to push the drunk patron to spend more money. I swear, if the circumstances were reversed and the girl claimed she was taken advantage of, such as rape due to being intoxicated, the guy would be guilty. However, since this was a guy being taken advantage of in his wallet nothing will ever happen. He was basically robbed of around $300. Needles to say, go to this bar to have a good time and keep everything in moderation and perspective. If not, the owner will take full advantage of you and bleed your wallet dry. Specifically 3 bartenders I met, they are super cute ! One made me laugh so hard, so make sure you get a drink from her! She's the one with the biggest smile, mocha skin and welcoming vibes. This is one of those bars that could be busier but always seems empty. I've been here 3 times and it's always the same. 3-4 guys staring sadly into their drinks while the cute little, barely dressed auntie/auntie in training bartenders short pour and ply for tips by looking sexy. When it comes to service they are friendly, relatively quick and check up on you just enough to not be annoying while making you not feel ignored. They do overcharge and they definitely short pour so that brings the rating down, but all in all they are not bad. The last time I was there a friend asked me to come out since they were visiting and wanted to go someplace close. We couldn't get over the fact that the very pretty girl at the bar was basically wearing panties and had to laugh as a very drunk day laborer approached us to confess that he had been here several times because he was in love with said panty clad bartender and he wanted to see her but never got to so he was happy. At least that's what it seemed like he was saying through the bleary eyed, gesticulating, mumbling rant he made. Shortly afterwards he made and effort to gallantly kiss her hand and she burst into laughter in that "there's no chance on earth pal" way a girl does. They had karaoke going and most of the people ( all 4 of them ) refused to sing so the poor karaoke lady had to beg them to and spent most of the time singing herself. This place could be packed if they had more girls there , not employees but customers. If anyone has ever been to the trophy lounge back in the day this place is definitely that kind of bar, they are just missing whatever it takes to get the aunties to come out and dance and drink there. If they figure that out they would have bigger crowds for sure, after all, guys go where the girls go and guys spend money where there are girls to spend it on. Maybe a ladies night fellas ? The girls charge you according to how drunk they think you are and if your dumb enough to buy them shots they will freely buy shots on you for any other girl they happen to want to join in. I watched April and the other really hot one and the owner (?) drown themselves in patron off of the guy next to me and then his shock and amazement when she told him " can I have 83 dollars" as soon as they hit him up and he questioned the amount , no more April for him. Speaking of April, she is pretty but do yourself a favor, never ever order a drink from her. She has no idea what goes in the most basic drinks and she upcharges even more than the other girls. Nice face, horrible attitude, atrocious bartender. Why do I keep going ?
