I had a $20 coupon which the owner pretended to scribble out the charge and deduct the $20. It turns out he never actually did it. Just a made a show of it. If he is going to offer coupons, then he should honor them! Also, when I picked the picture up, the corners were not done well. Went to pick-up 2 framed pieces....order in excess of $250...presented a coupon for $20 off we had received thru Valpack ... the owner denied. honoring...why...at the bottom of the legal envelope sized coupon which was all in color appeared a note in one point type b+w...."coupon must be presented at time of order'. I"m approaching 80 years old with great difficulty reading the local newspaper which is probably 8-10 point type....seems a little unfair and poor customer service by this vendor read more

I went into Frame Shop as a "first timer". I was nervous at at first because I didn't know what I was doing with trying to frame a picture. The gentleman there went through start to finish of what I wanted. Not pushing me in any direction, but just showing me different options. Would not recommend. The complete lack of respect and disregard for what actually was being framed was just appalling. I told the older gentleman several times to be careful as he continually and casually kept putting his hands on, pressing and dragging his hand across the print. Guy was negligent and clueless. I got half way down the street and turned around to pick it up. I couldn't leave it there in good conscious. If someone could be that careless with a customer around, I didn't want to think what would happen when no one was looking. Do not go here if you care about what you are framing. The Frame Shop has become my go-to for framing in the Rochester area, mainly because the owner is friendly and willing to help you out if you really need it. I've now had a few things framed here, but the icing on the cake was having a photo framed in less than 24 hours 2 days before Thanksgiving. I needed it framed for a friend's birthday and he had no problem making sure it was done. Because of this, he has my business for life. The shop also does a great job of going over any and all options, as opposed to most frame shops that try and make sure they make the most money off you whenever possible. I really appreciated being told the easiest way to save a few bucks that wouldn't really change the appearance of my piece. I had such an amazing experience with The Frame Shop. I had a LARGE project given to me at work - involving "beautify-ing" our office space before some regional managers came to town - and I called Don & Chris in a panic. I needed 35+ frames, very specific colors & sizes, and I needed them FAST. Not only were they SO accommodating, and really patient with my neediness, but they helped me get the job done quickly. No was NEVER an answer, they were always flexible and found a way to make it work, even when I had such specific needs. They placed the order, and even offered to stay at the office late, working as long as they needed to to get the frames put together so I'd have them in time for our big meetings. In addition...AFTER I kept Don at the office late, I realized on my way back to work that I had left the hanging hardware he gave me on a table in his shop. I called him, told him of my stupidity, and he offered to meet me in a parking lot halfway between us to bring them to me. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I would give this shop a million stars if I could.
