I have to say, I absolutely love shopping here. The first time was when I moved to Atlanta 25 years ago from NY and was used to shopping at more specialty grocery stores and when we found Fresh Market, it felt like home!! Like it gave me the most nostalgic feeling every time y family and I would go in to grab a few gourmet items to elevate our dinners. My dad is a chef and so finding duck fat, and high quality meats to cook was very exciting. They have great deals too! Update 12/19/2025 I'm updating my review now because I've had so many positive experiences in the last couple of years. While the pricing may be on the higher end, the quality is unmatched. Everything is fresh and flavorful. They have so many amazing items associated with each holiday season. It's probably the service that keeps me coming back. Amy in customer service is always friendly and makes me feel like a valued customer. Brianna and Mike in the deli provide are super attentive and provide great recommendations. The overall store environment is simply nice. Everything is clean and colorful and it makes me want to shop. I'll definitely come back and I would highly recommend the fresh market in Roswell. After reading other reviews about this location, I now have a better understanding of the problems that currently exist and can only say, we have been warned about certain employees and processes that are in place. My wife and I used to shop here several times a month, mainly for the specials in the meat and seafood department. This morning, we purchased two ribeye steaks that were marked down by $7.00 per pound. When Tim handed us the package, it showed the regular price as opposed to the sale price. This was not the first time this had happened. Tim assured us that the register would credit us the difference when we checked out. We should know to inspect each and every item at the time of checkout, but we had quite a few items and there was a long line behind us. After checking out, we noticed that Tim was once again wrong and we were charged the full price for the steaks. This is a warning for the public, be careful when shopping for the "on sale" items at this store. The frequency of the mistakes lead us to think it is not simply a mistake, but a scheme that is intentionally planned. Fresh Market needs to do better. read more

Very disappointed! Been shopping at Fresh market for years and have always had great customer service experiences. However, today my mother and I were yelled at and treated like trash by Tim in the meat department. He's very aggressive and shouldn't be working with the public! He was yelling, slamming doors, it was a nightmare. Any question we asked him, he would rebuttal with a negative tone yelling at us. Then to top it all off when we went to check out, Beverly, the cashier, had a nasty attitude too. She was not happy that we reported Tim to the manager. So once she rang me up, she wouldn't look at me and didn't even hand me my receipt. She just started working with another customer. We didn't end up taking the chicken Tim cut out of fear he'd done something to it. This location needs to be shut down for some race relations training ASAP!! Tim and Beverly you should be ashamed of yourselves. Today you failed miserably at representing the Fresh Market brand that your co workers try very hard to uphold. Shame on you! read more

The Fresh Market is my favorite upscale grocery store. There is nothing like grocery shopping while listening to French classical music. Love the atmosphere and excellent service. They always have unique, fresh baked goods and pastries in the bakery. I also love their lobster tails and fresh-cut flowers. read more

This grocery store is a ghost of what it used to be. The hot section of their prepared foods section was almost completely empty with only dried up and old looking food in it. It isn't clean. I ordered a pizza and the lady that began making it didn't put on gloves. Needless to say, I canceled the order. This is just not ok. I am not one to leave bad reviews but today compounded by another incident that happened a couple of weeks ago, along with the general lack of service at this location warrants this one. I love shopping here, but if your trying to save money this isn't the store for you. Their fresh chicken salad in the Deli is awesome! It's made in store with their rotisserie chicken. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny! The fresh cheeses are good and you can usually find varieties that you will not find in other stores. Their Tuesday specials, usually the boneless/skinless chicken breast or the 80/20 ground chuck are excellent. The ground chuck is ground fresh multiple times a day in store and always fresh unlike many of their competitors! The Meat Department is second to none, the steaks and roast are cut and prepared in store vs the prepackaged stuff you find in other stores. The applewood smoked thick sliced bacon is to die for, it's the best I have ever had, same with their Italian sausage, great flavor and texture. The produce is always a excellent choice, prices are high but you can count on quality and unique selection of some items you will not find at their competitors. This is where I got my first taste of Cotten candy grapes and Honeycrisp apples They do a good job in featuring local sourced items. I see that bother of their major chain competitors are following suite and trying to do the same thing All in All, they have a pretty awesome and they have me for a customer for life. read more

Once I walk in to this store I immediately get all the feels! First of all the smell... While they always are making food, just the overall smell of this place will put you in a trance. My kids love it for the bulk candy (yes I am a fan as well). I love EVERYTHING! The fish is fresh, the meat is top notch, and the bakery... don't get me started! They have some of tastiest noms that I have ever eaten! I've bought pre-made meals here before for lunch and I have been fully satisfied every time! Their beer/wine selection is also great! They carry wines that you wouldn't typically find elsewhere. My fav you ask? When they give you a sample of their coffee! Oh how I love sipping it while walking around the store! read more

It's a bit of whole foods and Trader Joe mix into one. It carries a lot of high end hard to find brands and the prices are competitive. What I like is their ready to make meals. They are fresh, quick and decently priced. I don't't live near a Whole Foods so these guys are actually very convenient for me. They just opened so the place is still clean and new. They have a decent amount of Gluten free baked goods. That is good for me. Its a pretty fun store to browse but not the cheapest so remember to bring some extra dough! read more

This was a five star review until I had to deal with Tanya the manager. Not only was she rude and condescending, but I have never had worse customer service in a grocery store ever. A manager should be leading by example not how well they can show their butt to a customer. I felt embarrassed by our interaction and really reconsidered if this should be my daily lunch spot. Finally! Finally The Fresh Market has opened in my neighborhood and I couldn't be happier. This Fresh Market is larger than the one I used to have to hump to on Johnson's Ferry and it appears to have more of a selection. I find myself wandering around in the bakery, trying to decide on which breads I need to have. I keep telling myself to exercise some self-control. It's fresh bread...you cannot keep it for more than a couple of days...the market is in the neighborhood, so you can come get more anytime...The struggle is real! I love the fact that this place opens at 8AM, so I can get in, get my grub, and be on the couch when football starts. As with all FMs, this place is a veritable cornucopia of goodness. Very nice high end grocery store. It's not a supermarket with a vast selection of everything you might possibly need but is a little more restricted in the selection. I've been to this Roswell location and another one in Savannah a few times now. It's a great place if you're looking for high quality food. I'd go here if I'm entertaining and want quality goods for guests or if I want a treat for myself, but I wouldn't make it my everyday store. I really like their bakery department. I've bought some individual pastries and rolls that were excellent. Their prepared foods look very tasty and I would come here to buy some prepared sandwiches. They have a great selection of cheeses and meats. There are some great gift type items, and I bought a very nice tray of different types of roasted and seasoned nuts for $17.50. They take Apple Pay, which I love since it's such a convenient way to pay. This is a little more high end version of a Trader Joe's. I'd come here over Trader Joe's any day. read more

Love this place. The little big meal is a great value. Produce is fresh (one time got raspberries that weren't good and made a quick call and was allowed to pick up a new pack on my next visit). Fish, chicken and beef are all super fresh and personnel are uber helpful. Someone from the bakery helped me find basil last week and made a special trip to the back of the store and tracked me down in the store to hand deliver it to me. Frontier soups are always there and in stock and great to have in my home pantry. The bakery is exceptional (especially the breads and cookies). My favorite worker is Lisa...who is always there on Tuesdays. Floral department is great and seasonal decor/flowers are fab. I drive from Canton to Roswell to visit. Love them. read more

I really like shopping here; there's just a comfortable, unpretentious vibe about the place, and everyone who works here is pleasant and willing to help. It's a smaller, friendlier Whole Foods, and come on, doesn't that Bezos guy have enough money? The whole bean coffee selection is excellent and the produce is fresh and properly culled. The deli has a good variety of typical deli stuff as well as prepared meals. It's not as cheap as Sprouts or as vast as Whole Foods, but in my opinion it hits the sweet spot for a pleasant shopping experience. read more

Just bought a "10 ounce", "Premium" steak. It didn't make the whole 10 zo. on an accurate digital scale - in the packaging. Out of the paper wrapper it weighed a whole ounce short. Shrinkage? 10%? Don't think so. They re slapping pre-printed labels on undersized steaks. read more

Was in Roswell Fresh Market just getting a $1.99 cup of coffee. Paid with Apple Pay & receipt emailed to me. When I checked my email, the receipt was for $159.55. Went back to the store, show the cashier, Kelly the receipt, called the manager, Fresh Market debited the $159.55 back to my cart. 1. Manager was GREAT!!! 2. Kelly, the Cashier was GREAT!!!! 3. The Fresh Market is a very comfortable store which immediately puts you at ease with the music and the smells of the various food all around you. The bread is fresh, the raw shrimp is to die for, and it has become a shopping experience for us. Plus it has the candy out in the buckets where you can fill your own bags which the stores in NC have gotten rid of. read more

Fresh Market is hit or miss with actually having things in stock on my shopping list. I can always count on them having at least 2-3 items out of stock when I go in there. It is gotten to the point where I only go in there for a few items, most shopping is done at Publix or Sprouts. Their prices are pretty high as well...Sprouts and Trader Joes will eat their lunch. read more

Worst quality ever! I bought two pounds of the worst red snapper ever! It should have been throw out days Ago!!! The guy was annoyed that I asked for different fillets and acted like I was bothering him. When I opened the package at home they smelled fishy, were gray and mushy!!! I threw $25.00 down the drain. We also bought two pounds of crab legs that were not fresh at all!! I won't be back. The service is rude and the fish and seafood is old! The one in Johns Creek is 100% better!!! read more

Always had a good experience there but today was a little different. I go to the deli to get a few things and the girl with the dreadlocks working there just ignored me. She looked straight at me then went on about sorting some rolls with her bare hands into different bags. So i go over to the meat department and get some meat and figure i'll go back to the deli. I go back and I'm standing there, I was the only customer at the counter, the girl looks straight at me and says "I'll be right with you" and continues opening some cans. Eventually she walks toward me and by this time another customer of her same ethnic background, walks up and she ignores me and walks over the the woman. The woman wanted to try some samples in the deli, so 3 or 4 samples later, after discussing each one, decides not to purchase anything and walks away, I guess that was her lunch. Then the girl looks over at me, rolls her eyes and then I decide to forget it and finish my shopping and leave. Otherwise the place is great, friendly meat department and friendly cashiers.
