Not as good experience as when we visited three years ago. I walked in and was ignored. I asked I was to seat myself and a customer at the bar said yes. The server who finally came seemed friendly. We ordered unsweetened ice tea. We asked for refills and received them once. The rest of the meal, we had an empty glass. I was quite surprised they never asked if we wanted another refill. Then we received the bill. We were charged for the first set of refills. Guess I'm glad we didn't get more refills. I travel a lot and this is the first restaurant that charges for tea refills. We were quite surprised. Slow service Charged for ice tea refills and nothing told us that. Food was still good Not sure if we will come back next time we are in town. read more

10/10 for inclusive spaces!! And for having vegan options!! Super cute and even odd looking bar/restaurant/other space in Vero Beach. Limited parking shared with other businesses. Notable: This business charges an extra 3% on top of your bill to pay their staff, plus you are expected to tip. It is clearly noted in the menu. Lots of good beverages to choose!! Excited for vegan food, we ordered a vegan empanada app which was interesting in a puff pastry. I hope the pastry dough was sans butter. I ordered the cashew bowl plus tofu when I was told the tofu came crispy. I can attest this is not crispy tofu hahaha. And, as a plant based eater, I encourage the team to continue practicing their vegan cooking. I can't wait to come back. I want better meals though, as mine was a miss. I have faith though!! Sort of funny how the wife and I found this place. I started this system when there were no smart phones, and continue this method even as they exist. If in a town and wondering where I should go, I seek out a bar with an adjective-animal in its name. Blind Pig. Fainting Goat. Happy Monkey. Whatever. Yes, I know a mermaid is only half fish, but it is my game and therefore it qualifies. Anyway, another thing my wife and I seek out is FONDUE. Thus, when we crossed my search of adjective-animal bars and her search of fondue...bingo. We made a great choice. This place just bleeds good vibes from the moment you walk in. Unique exterior, beer garden area, cool wall decor, corners with all sorts of stuff going on, cool outdoor patio area, and, most importantly, great service. Thor (I assume one of the managers) greeted us, and elevated our experience. He was just covering until the other bartender came on, but we enjoyed the heck out his friendliness, efficiency, humor, and knowledge of the menu and of the bar. We got the three cheese fondue dish, and it was amazing. Plenty of cheese, plenty of dippers. We didn't add protein (I believe that cheese has protein in it), and I thought the pretzel and potato were the best dippers, although bread is a given as a good choice. PLENTY of beer on tap, and I had the Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. Wife had the rose and liked it also. We went when they first opened, but you just had a feeling, looking around, that the place got FUN later on. Energetic background music, great atmosphere overall, fun people coming in, and this stop was awesome during our Vero Beach trip. The band was playing and we enjoyed listening! The waitress/staff were quick to see what we were drinking. I decided not to have the grilled squid, but on a whim ordered it . It was cooked almost perfect and had a nice accompanying sauce. Yum!! You can sit inside where the band is, or outside and it's not loud at all. Enjoyed our visit and felt very welcomed. The Smithwick Irish Red beer was our go to with the octopus. We will be back to try more on the menu. read more

What can I say about a place that is truly amazing from start to finish. My sisters visit every year and this is their number 1 pick. We all love the shepherds pie here and it's hard to try anything else when you love that so much. The chocolate heath fondue is so wonderful and fun. Even my teenage granddaughter was smiling which says a lot. Servers are always excellent and accommodating no matter the request. Ambiance can't be beat. Make sure you attend on a music night. I almost left after the singer it became open mike and while I was waiting for my sister in bathroom they started and let's just say we had to find seats again because they were so good. read more

Management and owner were rude. Will never go back. This group spends money they are not cheap. The table was yelled at by the owner. This was not a table of younger people, rules and signage were not clear or visible to the table. Instead of simply explaining their policy, he yelled at the entire table in a packed restaurant. Wow! What a gem here in Vero Beach! I came here with sole friends and this place was packed. There was gentleman performing some latest tunes, and the vibes were great. With a recommendation from friends I decided to have the samosas as an appetizer. They came in hot but they were amazing. Sad I had to share with my group but I felt they be missing out on such experience. I then I had the curry chicken pot pie. This dish came in hotter, both temperature wise and spicy. I almost burned my tongue but I took my time and enjoyed every bite. Lastly, I didn't order fondue but my friends did and I was able to try it! Another item that just didn't miss! This little gem is a true gem! Found it via Yelp and we were not disappointed. It's sort of a hole in the wall, if you go in the back way like we did, but it's fantastic. The waitstaff seems to be really happy. Numerous people stopped at our table for various things throughout the evening. So we were in no way neglected there. The food is absurdly great and absurdly cheap. We got the cheese fondue (Swiss) and it was friggin' delicious. Pictured, though dark. Lots of bread, veggies, and we got the extra chicken as well served two for about $20!!! For two people!!! Dessert was the brownie and ice cream thing. Equally great. And to top it off, trivia night!! That was fun. Talking about the answers to the many questions, the host even said that he's no PhD and "I've got a neck tattoo and I'm wearing shorts so temper your expectations". Five rounds of 6-8 questions each on various generally pop culture topics. First and second place each got small prizes after each round. It was a lot of fun. We're on vacation but if we're in the area again we'll definitely stop by again. The fondue and trivia are must-dos!! read more
