Since we were passing by and totally new to the town and surrounding, we just google/yelp but we are so glad that we picked this one over others. The owner/barista was incredibly kind and welcoming. We both have specific dietary preferences and usually prefer drinks with very low sugar. She took the time to listen carefully and recommended something that would suit our taste. I honestly couldn't believe how perfectly she balanced the drink--it had just the right flavor with minimal sugar, exactly the way we like it. What really stood out was her hospitality. The shop itself was neat, organized, and very clean, which immediately made the experience feel comfortable. When she handed us our coffees, she made sure to check that everything was according to our taste and preference. That personal touch meant a lot. Their **menu also looked very unique**, with some really interesting drink options that you don't usually see at typical coffee places. If we ever drive through that route again, we will absolutely make it a point to stop at **Coffee Kitchen**. I truly feel the town is lucky to have small businesses and people like this who care so much about their customers. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

It's a gorgeous marriage between a croissant and a butter roll seasoned with just the right amount of salt. As I was leaving, the owner gave me a bag of salt bread croutons dusted with cinnamon sugar. The sweet potato brioche loaf was pretty solid, too. Pass on the matcha cookie. I was bummed that the coffee bingsu is no longer a menu item.

When we entered on a Thursday afternoon, we were welcomed by two different female employees. We looked around and they still had a good amount of stock left for their baked goods, hot foods, and other snacks. Inside is definitely dim and very quiet, no music or TV playing to give it any ambiance. The staff seem friendly but also didn't really offer the most welcoming or warm presence that you would typically find in a Filipino establishment. The prices here seem fair and affordable, which was great as we were looking for a snack to hold us over until we had lunch. We ordered a pork siopao, chicken siopao, and an order of their pork shumai. Unfortunately, I don't think the cashier heard my boyfriend as we only got the pork siopao but he was to tired to correct her. She did try to sell us on turon a few times but my boyfriend isn't a fan of turon (I don't know why this is but he is Filipino and just tells me that he isn't a fan of a lot of Filipino desserts). We got in the car to eat our food. Our dogs were with us and were enticed by the smell as well, so that's a good sign as we complimented the smell too. I wish the food was kept just a bit hotter, but that's my minor gripe as I just don't like lukewarm foods. Now I will admit that the shumai is decent, but the sauce that comes with it is the star of the show. It has some spice while having this tangy umami kick that brought out the flavors of not only the shumai but also the siopao. My boyfriend and I were really impressed and tempted to go order more but we will definitely be back to get more of the hot foods and try some of the baked goods.

Loved the $1 day old pastries. Good deal. The pork bao was decent and the ube pastel (purple bread)…read morewas my favorite of the three baked goods I bought. It's hard to find a Filipino bakery South of Seattle, so props!
