Adorable little cupcake and cookie shop! It's a bit confusing to locate at first, but when you do there's tons of parking available! The shop itself is sparkling white and all of the goodies are arranged so beautifully behind the case. We loved our chocolate and red velvet cupcakes and especially the edible sheep on top! I can tell they were baked with love!! Delicious frosting and rich cupcake base. Will definitely be back again! Thank you!

Way too expensive, about $5 for a cookie, which is only above average, but for $5 should sing and dance.

First off, it's definitely one of those small, tucked-away spots you could easily miss if you didn't know it was there, but once you walk in, the decor is so cute. Think cozy, shabby chic vibes that make it feel warm and welcoming right away. The standout for me? The dinner roll. Honestly, one of the best I've ever had. It was dense, rich, and satisfying, not your typical light, airy Kaiser roll. It reminded me more of a Jamaican hard dough bread in texture and weight, which I personally loved. Super flavorful and filling. I was also really happy about their buy three, get one free promotion. It made it easy to try a few different things without feeling like I was overdoing it. As for the pastries, I tried the cinnamon roll and carrot cake. I didn't finish either, but the carrot cake definitely gave true homemade vibes. It had coconut mixed in, wasn't overly sweet, and felt more traditional than indulgent. If you like a less sugary, more classic-style carrot cake, you'll probably appreciate it. Overall, this bakery is worth a stop, especially if you're exploring the pastry trail. Not everything wowed me, but there were definitely some highlights that made it a good visit.

As many bakery's in the area have at least 3-4 different options I only saw the one for this trip so my friends were limited on what they could have from the menu. The turkey bacon sandwich was layered with flavor and the bacon was a nice thick slice. The aioli complimented the turkey and cut back on the harshness of the arugula. The focaccia itself was tasty. The bread was airy, chewy, and perfectly golden brown. I did enjoy the latte I got because of how bold the coffee was. The beans were roasted perfectly and made the drink itself very smooth and robust. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone seemed very pleasant and the environment itself was very cool. I would definitely come here more often with friends and I would love to see more gluten-free options on the bakery layout

I really appreciated the honesty especially since I specifically asked for a gluten-free option. They offer a great variety of bagels, cream cheese spreads, and coffee from GIV, a local roaster based in Canton. The shop has a cozy vibe with plenty of indoor seating and a few tables outside if you want to enjoy nice weather. We popped into one of those pop ups today when we picked up our pre-ordered loaf of Rosemary and Thyme Sourdough Focaccia from Honey Bear Bakery on West Mary Drive in Simsbury, not too far from the Stop and Shop on Bushy Hill Road. Honey Bear sells a variety of sourdough breads (classic and whole wheat), cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and three types of sourdough focaccia (Rosemary & Thyme, Jalapeno Cheddar, or Cinnamon Sugar), chocolate chip cookies, and loaves of honey wheat bread. By the way, they mill their own wheat flour daily. They have a "farmstand" out front but suggest you place an order through their website (like we did). Our loaf of Rosemary and Thyme Focaccia (infused with fresh herbs and olive oil) was $12. I have to say that the website ordering experience and resulting communication were excellent. They accept PayPal and sent me a few e-mails and texts reminding me of my order and pick-up day and time. There is a kiosk on the side of the road at their address, and the names of their preordered customers are written on the boxes. Walk up customers have a box to place their cash. Our Sourdough Focaccia was delicious, I mean really full of flavor! We popped it in the oven for a teense and had it for dinner with smoked salmon, cream cheese and a bit of chopped onion. We were so impressed with their overall product and customer service that we went back the next day for some amazing looking cinnamon rolls! As if everything Honey Bear has isn't enough, well they also run sourdough baking classes!
