stay away, lady does not understand "partial balayage" First of all, I gave her beautiful UNCOLORED hair. She proceeded to ruin it by coloring my hair FIRST and THEN CUTTING it, leaving choppy random highlights across the back of my head, with the ends of my hair still my natural color. She literally ARGUED with me that it was perfectly fine-claiming that partial balayage is a few inches from the crown of the head. NO LADY, balayage are highlights from the ends of the hair. I had showed her pictures-including ones FROM HER SITE of partial balayage, and she said she understood. After I informed her that it looked nothing like the pictures, she changes what she said and claims that those clients paid more $$ and had blonde/red hair beforehand. She DID NOT tell me that in the beginning and had instead reassured me she could be able to reproduce the same results with my original hair. In the end she finished the bottom part but the color did not match, and the cut was quite horrendous as well. Would not wish anyone to have their beautiful hair ruined. read more

Going to someone new is always nerve racking especially since I'm very particular about my hair. But I knew I desperately needed to cut & dye my hair as it had become very dry & was splitting at the ends. Before buying the Groupon I booked the appointment. Her salon is located inside Phenix Salon Suites. Her suite is sooo cute! I actually prefer this type of intimate setting instead of your typical salon. She is super friendly and very professional. I decided to try The G Room after seeing a deal on Groupon and I'm so glad I did. I usually have terrible experiences with hair stylists, but Lorena is amazing! When I first arrived I noticed that it's not your typical hair salon. The G Room is located inside Phenix Salon Suites, so the G Room is a private suite within that location. I got there a bit early so I walked around Phenix Salon and noticed that most locations hold only one client a time. I loved this set up because it seems very exclusive and a very personalized experience. Lorena got started right away and cut my hair to the desired length then proceeded with the balayage. I was unsure what color, but after hearing a few suggestions from her, I felt that I could trust her judgment. I'm so glad I did because I've gotten so many compliments on my hair, stating that it looks very natural. The process took about 2.5 hours, but I honestly didn't feel it. Lorena has a TV in her studio, so you can watch anything you'd like on Netflix. I actually enjoyed our conversation more than watching Netflix, so that was a plus. What amazed me most, was her attentiveness and professionalism. Since I have thin hair, she took extra care to make the balayage look natural by teasing the strands so that it wouldn't look streaky. She washed my hair twice to make sure all the product was out of my hair and she massaged my head. I honestly felt so relaxed, that I thought I was going to fall asleep.
