Last minute reservations for outside table dinner at 630 thurs. The theater had a lg crowd not a parking space to be had actually we could have walked or taken the tram.. not to self forget parking at night in Stuart take the tram or be ready to sightsee! We were seated asap nice seat outside lovely server! Started with corn salad and we all had different dinners from salmon fried chicken meatloaf. All were excellent! As was the service!! We had desert a carrot cake so big we all five split it! Was delicious! Great food the best company!!! Our favorite place in Stuart! Where to go when you are sharing dinner with special people and you want good food. Reservation is a must inside was packed so was outside!

Hit The Gafford last night. A beautiful Florida evening seated outside. Perfect ambiance. We had a very pleasant attendant. We started out with a Crab Bisque that was absolutely delicious. A little twist with a bit of chile pepper gave it a unique taste. I was excited for the rest of the night. Next we had the parmesan roasted cauliflower. Cooked perfectly but it really didn't have much flavor. Disappointing. For our entrees my Wife had the Street Corn Salad and I got the Mabel's Fried Chicken. The Corn Salad was ok but didn't seem to be interesting. Same could be said about the fried chicken. Nice tender chicken breast with a nice flaky crust but really no distinguishing flavor. Green beans were perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were ok as was the gravy. Bottom line: after the incredible bisque, the rest of the meal, although ok, was a bit of a let-down. I will return however.

The Gafford was always on my list to try when we lived in the area, and I'm so glad we finally went when visiting Stuart earlier this year! It is such a great choice for a nice dinner downtown! My scallops were crispy and charred on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. Don't miss out when they're on the menu! (They were either seasonal or a special).

Stopped in for our anniversary and this place did not dissappoint located right in the center of downtown with a very convenient location for shopping and activities after! Everything came out fresh and seemed very high quality. Good variety menu with all types ranging from meatloaf to fish they have you covered. The meatloaf was outstanding not dry at all and super filling and packed with flavor throughout the entire dish including the outstanding garlic mashed potatoes it was paired with. The owner even came over and asked if we need anything which was an amazing touch since most places the owner is never present which gave us the mom and pop feel we love

Decided to stop in for tuna stack and guacamole (that we've previously enjoyed on prior occasions). Seemed odd that on a Thursday evening at 6pm the hostess asked if we had reservations. That should have tipped us off that things were different. The bar was full and the very loud. Our server didn't know what fish was on the special for the evening. We weren't enticed, so we went with our original order. Then the disappointment set in; the tuna stack was literally have the size of the ones we've had there. The mango salsa layer wasn't salsa it was bland chopped mango. The bottom layer of guac was about an inch and the chop tuna was light pink to white (at best). Needless to say the "shareable" lasted about three bites each for two people. Regretfully, we ordered the guacamole that was also disappointing. The portion was smaller than before and lacked flavor (seasoning). A few nuggets of corn topper and no cheese (as described on the menu). That "shareable" comes with a salsa that was the coup de grâce of disappointment; it was runny and lacked any semblance of chopped vegetables. It literally tasted like spaghetti sauce and not the good type. We pulled up our Yelp review from last year and sure enough the portions are not even close in terms of size or presentation. We showed the server our pics from last year's Yelp post and she said that she's never had that order. She gave the chef our feedback. Later on she came back and said the chef acknowledged the "salsa" consistency. He offered to make a fresh batch... our plates were gone by that time and we weren't about to take that offer. The grand finale ended with the check being delivered and our server telling us "an automatic 18% service fee is added to the check"... my wife and I looked at each other with utter disgust. We wasted $47 on two awful shareables and one unsweetened tea. It's sad to see yet another restaurant go down the drain so quickly. It seems like PSC went under new management and lost their kitchen and serving staff. Uploading a new pic of the "soupy salsa" to compare with what we previously had

They have a fabulous happy hour, and I have to say the appetizers we enjoyed were fabulous! The wild shrimp and crab mac & cheese is actually priceless- rich creamy crunchy shrimp! The two of us could not finish it and also had the seared Ahi tuna- the law that comes with the tuna is a showstopper. The dish itself had to take a backseat, which is sad when the tuna should've been the star but also says a lot about that slaw. The one thing we will be back for is the oysters we did the flame combo, which was the oysters Rockefeller, and the roasted oysters and probably would've licked the shells if it had been appropriate! They were absolutely delicious! The menu isn't too overwhelming and I'm pretty sure between my husband and I, we've tried every roll. My favorite is the dinner bento box because it's $30 and I get to pick one traditional roll and two mains, so I usually go with teriyaki salmon (for my daughter), my favorite simple roll, the Tokyo roll (for myself), and usually have sashimi leftover for lunch the next day. It's a lot of food because dinners come with soup and salad. Usually my son eats the salad and the rice so it's a nice meal. We discovered this place the day we were moving in because it's right across the street and we've been coming ever since. My only request for improvement is service as we usually get the server who knows very little English and it makes it hard to order what we want. **INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Initially, I found Frazier Creek Brewing and Distilling (which I will shorthand simply to Frazier Creek for the remainder of this review) through my adventuring, specifically the Treasure Coast Wine, Ale & Spirits Trail. Though not the first brewery in Martin County, it is the first "brewstillery" in which it serves as both a brewery and distillery. Wanting to check in at another location on the aforementioned trail, I have to say this place is pretty good, but since I went early afternoon (I work 3rd shift at the time), it isn't exactly the most active place to be at. And to be fair, the same goes for the other brewery I went to at this time (Ocean Republic). Ergo, this initial review will be based on a visit between noontime and 3 p.m. In short, too early to be at a brewery, but the only time I could go because of my working shift. Though an address is provided, Frazier Creek is located in Mayfair Plaza on US-1 (Federal Hwy.). If it helps, it is the business that seems to have a "watchtower" rising up from its entrance like a sentinal. Upon entering, you're greeted to a nice open space that hints this place was probably an extreme sporting goods vendor or business in its past. Why I say that? Because of all the decks on the wall used to highlight Frazier Creek's drink menu. I sat at the bar which was optimally observed by the cute bartender, and I understand why it was minimal as it was, as aforementioned, "too early to be in a brewery" and there were like only one or two more patrons inside besides me. Nevertheless, the bartender was attentive and gave me drinks based on how I was feeling at the time as well as the fact it was still early afternoon. So for me, lighter beers. I would not drink a heavy stout or IPA this "early" in the day. What I did have were three drinks they always have on tap, two alcoholic so I had them in 4 oz. tasters and one that was non-alcoholic so I had a regular 8 oz. glass. Must stress I was hitting up the locales in the Treasure Coast Wine, Spirit & Ale trail in Martin County so I can't get all happy at ONE location, right? I had the Stuart Shandy and Zero Gravity Sour in the 4 oz. tasters. The former had more of the grapefruit flavor over the lemonade flavor, but it was delightfully sour. As for the latter, I enjoyed that one more because I prefer oranges as my citrus of choice. And to "fill in the gap" without having too much alcohol since I would be drinking mead next (Hani Honey Co.), I had their root beer, too. That was good too, but I am more of a cream soda kind of guy, and since sugar is in everything, I have a thing for Olipop, Virgil's, and Poppi flavors. So far, not one brewery has made a sugar free root beer (yet). As for the last part of food and drink, there was no formal food menu I saw, but they did have either a collaboration or something "in house" outside of the actual brewery and distillery was served for food: fish dip. There were two versions I got, and I ate one with Ritz crackers at the bar. Fantastic. Definitely home made and independent given the price point, but I am more than willing to pay to help support it. As for the other dip, it was good too once I opened and finished it back home. On a sidenote, the restrooms - at least the men's restroom - was decently clean and stocked. Nothing out of the norm. Given the fact I showed up during a time I don't expect the full service and experience Frazier Creek has to offer, I can only rate my visit(s) for what they offer at the time I went which is three out of five stars. Now I must stress that is actually not bad as they hit all the main points on serving a customer during a time when they are "down" and "slow." I don't expect them, or any brewery/distillery/meadery/etc. to bend over backwards for me when I show up at 1 p.m. on a weekday. But I will also say that for many places, doing just the basics is a chore during that time, so the fact Frazier Creek did, I applaud you all. Now that I am working a normal schedule, I can truly come by during your peak hours and see what Frazier Creek has to offer. I did see they were preparing for a cornhole tournament when I left, and I would have loved to stay to smash the competition, but a las, responsibilities over pleasure when in the midst of a workweek. If Frazier Creek is consistent with what they provided during the early afternoon, plus whatever they do during their peak hours, I'll definitely update this review.
