I'm taking this review from the top. I come from Las Vegas where hospitality is everything. The way you make people feel is that easy and that hard. My first impression was terrible. The bartender Bowin was great but the owner that was talking down to him was absolutely appalling. First thing I heard across the bar before taking my drink order "I heard you're wanting to serve here and it's not gonna happen" which shocked me because where I come from if you have a correction to make with an employee take it up in the office, not in the public eye. I'm visiting and wanted a nice happy hour experience but let me say I'm never happy seeing workers mistreated like that. I was polite enough to wait until the end of my meal to speak with the owner, Ron, and he was very dismissive. He said the following "it's not that deep, you don't know the full story, etc." which absolutely true I don't know the full story but I don't need to. Actions speak louder than words. The way he treated him I would never support someone like that and first impressions are everything so shame on him. I stayed because I wanted to give Bowin a good tip and ensure I take this up with the owner before leaving instead of leaving a review. Here we are, I'm leaving a review because hospitality is very important in 2 sectors: 1) the way you feel; 2) the experience. I give a singular star for Bowin's great service as well as Celine's but Ron, the owner, doesn't deserve anyone's money for the way he treats his employees. I've never left a review like this but there's a first for everything. I do not recommend this establishment but if you do go please sit at the bar with Bowin or Celine because they deserve a good tip to take home. I support them but not this establishment or Ron. The way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers. I will also not be dismissed by someone like this. I wish I could have taken more pictures of the room and ambiance as the pictures in Yelp are older, the area is more up to date now. Our waiter was great and on time for everything. Our food I would say since it's farm to table was good but my food was drenched in beef tallow and my fries got soggy, would definitely try the pasta or another meal next time. Went last night with friend who never never been. It was good we had happy hour cocktails, app of crispy tuna. Great local spot, variety of choices with a nice fusion twist for almost everything on the menu. Highlights are the bread board, bread was steaming hot and all accompaniments were delicious in their own individual way. Food is mediocre at best(Tuna must have been same used at Subway) but the real crime of this place is the extra fee they charge. . I understand a fee for a credit card and if I was using one I would have gladly paid it. The issue is they are charging a debit card the same and that is AGAINST THE LAW PERIOD. When I confronted the manager she said well you could just pay in cash. When I told her to take the charge off as it is ILLEGAL or I wouldn't pay she proceeded to call the police. Since I didn't want to waste my time I just paid the bill and left zero tip. I hated to do that as the staff has nothing to do with the situation. So if you like mediocre food and extra fees unless you have cash enjoy. I wasn't rude i simply told the person that charging a debit card is illegal which funny you just skirt by and obviously dont care that you are breaking the law. First time enjoying this beautifully decorated restaurant. Loved the little bouquet of fresh flowers on the table - nice touch! Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Service was attentive and fast, especially considering we had a fairly big group. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai, which I will say is much more of a Thai Red Curry dish than a Pad Thai. Love this place! It has expanded so there is even more room. They have taken over the space that was previously occupied by Mero Mero.. so their bar is inside and outside, more room and very enjoyable to sit outside on a cool evening. I enjoy dining inside however. Very pretty side, they kept the tile floors which look very nice and you can see the action in the kitchen. We brought our own bottle of wine ($20 corkage fee). We ordered the bread board which had a small load of tasty bread, honey butter, wonderful pimento cheese and pork belly. We were both very pleased with this. My husband ordered the veal bolognese which he said was very good. I had the scallops which were excellent. I made a reservation for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend and service was amazing. Our waitress Kristen was on top of everything, drinks and apps came out super fast! Crispy rice is a must try! American South Fork Kitchen came to my attention as I drove by one afternoon... I checked it on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of very good ratings so I had to go check it out. Made some reservations for a Saturday night and headed over with my significant other for what we hoped would be an amazing dinner and we were not disappointed. The restaurant proper is fairly decent sized with a bar along the back wall. Just a note here- the place is noisy, so that might catch you by surprise. Hostess got us situated out on the patio (they have a small / limited outdoor seating section) and we got settled in. Waiter came by for introductions and drink orders and we began checking out the menu - the menu in and of itself is what I call "manageable". That is to say, there are not 100 things on there and usually means that the place does the smaller number of dishes extremely well. There was one entrée special as well for that evening. We found a few appetizers to start the party: the Korean Pork "wings" and the Grilled Octopus. The Pork wings were simply divine - they had a lot of different flavors going on between the Korean style glaze (honey soy bbq) and the crushed peanuts /scallion / cilantro base they came out on. The octopus was grilled perfectly - which is a real art. As with the pork wings, the octopus came on a yummy bed of paprika / pepperoni / white beans which complimented it perfectly. Mains were just as good with Market Fish (mahi-mahi) for me. The fish was lightly blackened which again, complimented the fish perfectly. My wife had the scallops. She loved the sweet corn and coconut-basil broth that it came on. By the time we were done eating and enjoying the perfect night sky, the waiter swung by and even though we were full, we shared a crème brulée to make the night complete. All in all a perfect night. Went for brunch and not impressed at all plus the prices are way overpriced. 2 deviled eggs which is such a simple item, was so rich due to too much mayo with Dijon mustard and deep fried the egg whites, (not indicated i description on menu) with a trout roe on each half for 12.00. 2 poached eggs over roasted baby red potatoes with a few pieces of shredded pastrami 28.00. Bread was extra $. I have not problem with high cost if the food is worth it but I'm sorry to say this isn't. Brunch is brunch, don't try to reinvent it. Make quiches with those expensive eggs with some salad and mimosas that's brunch. Crepes are also another suggestion. read more

Update- went again last night (5/23/2024). And it was a completely different experience. Service was spot on! Seated quickly, and almost as fast, we were greeted by our server for the evening. Drink order was placed (that Chardonnay again), as well as the appetizer (yep, crunchy tuna). In quick order the drinks were served, as well as the mains ordered (I had the BAMF burger again) and Kathy had the Shrimp Phad Thai. I had ordered my burger medium rare, which is tougher to do with a two thin patty burger, like the BAMF burger. The appetizer was quickly brought to the table and was delicious. This was followed quickly by our mains... And the burger was spot on, medium rare. Yum ! As was Kathy's Phad Thai. Nice to see that the timing & service issues were a thing of the past. And let me suggest the hot Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies and milk for desert ! A real nice touch to have rimmed the glass for the milk with molten chocolate and blast chilled it. This was one of the better Restaurantes we found in the Stuart area. It has a good price point. Their burger is what it's known for (around $16), but they also offer well-plated dishes in the $20-$30s. If your group has different budgets, this is a great option where everyone will leave satisfied with how much they spent. The best dish is the Duck Confit. We returned to this place on the last day of our trip just to eat it again. It's cooked perfectly; falls off the bone. The sauce that it's served in is incredible. Drove an hour from PB county to try this place and it was worth every mile to get there. Started my Sunday with their signature Bloody Mary which was awesome served with a piece of bacon (so good). Tried their pork wings and it was delicious! Very tender and full of flavor with a tasty oil based spice sauce. For my meal I ordered their cheese burger, definitely a top five burger. The meat quality is very good , the bun was soft and moist served with truffle fries. We ordered a side of the Brussel sprouts that was amazing! I hear their happy hour menu is great! We were immediately seated at 7 pm (our reservation time), and ordered our drinks and food shortly after. The dishes arrived pretty quickly despite the restaurant being packed. We ordered: - Grilled Octopus - the octopus and artichokes were perfectly crispy and juicy. Chumichurri sauce had a unique kick! - Pan Seared Scallops - my favorite, the scallops were large and nicely seared. The corn and coconut basil broth was light and flavorful. - Grilled mushrooms - Was fragrant and nicely seasoned with truffle oil - Stir Fry - unexpectedly good! The farro was a great substitute for rice, giving the fried rice a unique texture than the standard Asian version I'm used to. I was pleasantly surprised by my meal at South Fork Kitchen and will definitely stop by again next time I'm in Stuart! Notes: the restaurant can get loud when you go during the peak times.
