Half Vegetarian Panini with chips, pickle and a Cherry Italian soda
    Amy R.

This cute little eatery is the perfect place to have a simple lunch on a hot day. They serve several different panini's, whole or half portion, as well as salads and soups in the colder months. You can also grab breakfast here as well, a good reason to come by and try that as well. We had the panini's, Vegetarian with chips and a pickle, as well as the Ham with a side salad. Accompanied with a cherry Italian soda and a Passion fruit Italian soda. There is dining both inside and out, street parking is available. I didn't think the prices were bad either. Friendly service, but a tad slow. Maybe casual is a better word. This is definitely a leisurely location to enjoy a slow paced lunch with family or friends.

I've loved this place for so long. cutest location across from Audubon park with window seating- although I can never sit in there for long without feeling like soccer moms are drilling a hole through me. the food is so good, i get a breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, egg, bacon, alfalfa sprouts- always tastes fresh, always good I always want to ask what oat milk they use because everytime I get an iced latte it hits so much better than any other shop or stand around. Staff friendly too- but not too friendly where you feel bombarded. this is one of my favorite favorite breakfast spots in the nw.

It's my first official week in town and I am on the hunt for a new writing spot! A quick search of apple maps brought this to the top of the list as an absolute must-try -- and I agree! Quick, friendly service, tasty food, a great location, and a cozy atmosphere for writing and studying. The only thing this place needs is more outlets. I feel like I'm at my grandma's house, which is such an excellent environment to focus on my latest WIP! Probably a NaNoWriMo hot spot for write-ins.

Very cute small coffee shop. The service was great and my chai latte tasted so good. Very comfortable atmosphere. I will go back soon to try other menu for sure!

I randomly dropped in to get a treat and bought their sugar cookies. I WILL NEVER BUY COOKIES ANYWHERE ELSE! Their frosted sugar cookies are seriously addicting, and always decorated so cute. I now routinely visit the location on Waikiki--the drinks are great, the food is delicious, and the staff is always friendly, helpful, and upbeat. If you haven't visited yet, you need to!

It's always a 5/5 here. I seriously go to heaven every time I eat here. The coffee is bomb and so are their bagel omelette sandwiches. Their staff is always so kind and friendly. Please stop in here. You won't regret it:)

Cute spot across from Audobon Park! Outdoor patio is dog friendly, and a cute and cozy atmosphere inside. I had the breakfast sandwich on a multigrain bagel, egg, feta, ham, sprouts and avocado for $8. My husband had a jalapeño bagel with sausage, cheddar, and garlic aioli. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is because our food was lukewarm at best. Will be back regardless! Super friendly staff.

Friendly service wins my heart every time. - the butternut squash soup was AMAZING!! So creamy, buttery, flavorful, HOT. Perfection! - a good old fashioned! - save room for the dessert beignets!! Warm, melt in your mouth, light and airy. - was excited to see the portobello mushroom burger on the menu- flavorful and a tad messy. - the calamari has an Asian flair. Points for being different and delicious, but the calamari was small and you don't get very much. I liked the slaw. Lots of slaw, little calamari. Cons: The burgers were overcooked but still went down . The bottom bun was very overcooked...a bit too hard for our liking.

Atmosphere: the restaurant is modern, spacious, and well decorated. We sat outside on the patio,…read morewhich was a nice space. They have a little herb garden out there which was really cool! Service: our waiter was helpful and kind - when he was there. It started off great, but as the evening went on he wasn't there when we needed. We waited a fair amount of time for our entrees, drinks we had ordered, and lastly for boxes and our checks. It was a little frustrating, but he was clearly busy and it may not have been his fault. Food: we started with the pork burnt ends. They were cooked wonderfully and tasted great. I would say they were maybe just a tad too sweet, but I still really enjoyed them. My husband got the crossbred corn Mac and cheese. He liked it and thought it had good flavor. I tried it and didn't care for it. I got the Tuscan Penne pasta with Chicken. I didn't love it. It had large whole cooked cherry or grape tomatoes in it and they weren't great and There wasn't a ton of flavor in general. The chicken in it was probably the best part and I added it for $7.50. Our friends got the special which was some shrimp risotto. The risotto was overcooked and was mush and the amount of crispy onions was way more than the amount of risotto in the dish. The shrimp was cooked well though and they enjoyed the flavor. For drinks I started with the Cadillac Margarita. It was far too sweet for me. The next drink I asked them to make me a spicy margarita with just jalapeños and pineapple juice instead of any mix they had. That turned out better than my first margarita. we had a good time with our friends and enjoyed our night out. However, we all kind of said we didn't care to make it back there. None of us were too impressed and for what we paid, it just wasn't worth it.

They are like overly fancy, to the max pickle. I'm not saying it's a pickle, because they are not "pickled", but, but, how do I say it....fresh, crunchy, tasty, with a good "kick". The flavor is abundant. The pepper lingers on your tongue after you finish. Glory! Try it with a beer. I'm telling you. You will be satisfied with this starter. This is all I ate. I'm losing weight. Kitchen is wide open for viewing. I like that touch. TV at the bar. Two high chair sections, one at the bar. Lots of seating. Good temperature in the restaurant. I like this place. The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.
