Luckily, they take weekday reservations, so I called ahead to reserve a table. While it was poppin' on a Thursday midday, the service was friendly and quick, and our table of five was in and out in just over an hour. I will say, I did find the acoustics to be quite loud - not necessarily the music, but the inside of the restaurant is built so it can be hard to have a conversation when it's busy. I ordered the fajita bowl, which was a delicious mix of breakfast and lunch. Next time, I'll ask for no jalapeños since the dish was on the spicier side than I'd like. The staff is always so pleasant, and the food is incredible! I love their selection of juices, as well as their selection of local kombucha and other drinks. I've had matcha and coffee drinks, kombucha, and juice and never been disappointed in any of it. This is a great place to go for brunch. No miss, all hits on Mass Avenue. They were very busy on Sunday morning (easy to predict) but they were extremely organized about waitlist and our table was ready much sooner than expected. Do not let the name of this place fool you - it's not all just from "the garden", i.e - greens. I had an amazing BLT Smash with egg. It's black pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado mash, and I added an over-easy egg! Okay, that made it incredibly messy, but really, messy sandwiches are the best. The bread had a great crust and was nice and chewy, making the mess easier to hold onto. The fries were crispy and the perfect complement (I swapped out my greens for them). I also got a Hoosier Heater cold-pressed juice with it, and it was delightful and refreshing. I could taste the flavor of the jalapeno rather than the spice from it which was nice (although I do love spicy). I also can't wait to try some of their cocktails made with those fresh juices. They currently use Toast to allow for contact-less checkout, and I am all about that (mostly because of convenience)! We started with the cinnamon toast bites which were great while we waited for our friends to come. I got the chilaquiles which were so flavorful and the chips were so crisp! Ok. I've given a lot of love to Indy this week, but the Garden Table just stole my heart. We walked in, and we were immediately taken somewhere else. The atmosphere is impeccable, straight out of a millennial design magazine (if millennials believed in magazines). The brick, reclaimed wood, cooper fixtures, colored glass, ship lap, live plants and mud cloth are beautiful, cohesive and warm. Even if there wasn't food, I'd almost pay to just sit here! But the food!!! Everything we had was dynamite. The hotcakes were fluffy AND crispy, perfectly sweet without being overly so. The fajita bowl (switched to chicken) was out of this world, and then house made chips were a sublime touch. Also, the biscuit monster was adorable and delicious. Oh yeah, they also make KILLER cold-pressed juices. Our flight of four was refreshing and delicious!! Pretty sure you can't go wrong here. I have been to the Garden Table location downtown several times, but never to broad ripple, and I'd have to say I like this location a little better. It's set up more like a coffee shop and you order your food at the counter and then have a seat until your food is brought out. It's a seat yourself location and small enough to be cozy. Waiters ensure your comfort and needs are meet by taking a community approach to serving customers. We had nearly 4 different people check on us while waiting and eating. The food itself is very delicious and there are a surprising amount of diet friendly options. I branched our and tried the hash with apples, sweet potato, bacon, brussel sprouts and eggs. To my surprise it was AMAZING and potentially the best brunch food I've ever had. I did add a little salt since overall it was fairly sweet. I really loved the cacti wall that is near the bathrooms that would be perfect for a quick photo-op. In regards to food, I opted to order the Governor without mayo which was one of the only vegan options. The burger was extremely bland. I wanted to ask the server for some sauce to make it better; however, he never check on me after the meal was served nor to fill up water. While some brunch spots feature heavy gravy soaked options (which are beautiful and delicious in their own right) the Garden Table features a menu that is fresh and filled with ingredients you'd find, well, in a garden. That said, you'll still find variety - the blueberry hotcakes (which are more of a corn cake) are a great not-too-sweet sweet option. The Garden Benedict is my favorite savory option, but the hash is also a great pick. Overall, you can't really go wrong. It'd be a miss if you came here and didn't try their fresh juice, and they make it easy to do so by offering juice flights, which you can also pair with a bottle of champagne if you're feeling boozy. They also feature Indy coffee icon, Tinker, and have HIGH quality drip and specialty coffee, which sometimes you have to sacrifice for a good food menu. The service is notably good as well.
