Staff is amazing and the gators are so yummy! Tastes like chicken. You should try! The staff is awesome. They entertained my joke which was cool. I asked if they had freshly cut gator, I mean the fresher the catch the better. Anyway nice food truck! It doesn't disappoint.

Wanted to support someone local while getting a small bite for lunch. Found that Gator Grill was just a few minutes from my house in Weston. Knowing it's at Sawgrass Rec Park with all of the airboat hauling tourists on joyride through the swamp, I expected things to be priced a bit higher then a basic lunch. Just wanted something new. Had the Mahi sandwich which was exceptionally fresh. I was disappointed with the amount of gator in an order, but it was flavorful. The BBQ tots were a very big let down. Something about them just threw me off. The birds are the biggest problem. They are very bold and some will attempt to land next to you to steal your food. Kind of unsanitary with them all over the tables. Overall was a nice little lunch.

Went off the beaten path just to eat at this food truck. Upon arrival we enjoyed the peacocks at the airboat place. Found the food truck just to be told it was open for private group only. Sure would have been nice to know this before we jumped off the highway wanting to try their fish sandwich. Very disappointing.

If you are ever in west Broward for lunch I highly recommend sitting down and enjoying this outdoor lunch and food truck with polite/fast service. The gator bites are seasoned perfectly, highly recommended them! Enjoy the fresh air, Everglades scenery and take an airboat ride if you desire.

This is way beyond being a hidden gem. You have to go to Sawgrass Recreation and go past the main building and down the hill to the right. At the bottom you'll see the picnic area with two food trucks. I can't comment on the coffee and pastry truck because it was closed. The other truck is the Gator Grill. What a treasure! Try the Mahi fish tacos. Each is made with a grilled fillet, slaw and special sauce. I don't know what's in the sauce but they also had bottled hot sauce that was awesome! Unless you don't like hot sauce, in which case it was still awesome but you missed out. Very friendly staff in a fun atmosphere made this a really enjoyable experience.

Interesting and simple service for a reasonable price. 10-11$ You get to try gator tacos or gator meat bites. Nothing too special just a reliable service to eat alligator meat. Condiments are typical salt and pepper and some super spicy hot sauce. I think habanero? Friendly cook.

Mahi fish tacos. Yum!

The Mahi fish tacos are VERY good and super fresh tasting. The gator bites are tempting to order because it's something different, but honestly they tasted like dry pork so I'd stay away from them. I've heard that the burgers are hand-made and very good but we didn't try those. If you're short on time, you may need to skip this place because it took 40 minutes for us to place our order and then get our food. (The line was about 10 people long when we got into it). I realize that food trucks usually don't have many people cooking, but we needed something fast after our tour and this was anything but fast! I had to take off a star because of the long wait: otherwise it would have gotten a 4-star rating.

Gator bites and mahi-mahi tacos

Wonderful gator, bite and mahi-mahi tacos. Beware of the birds one landed on my hand. Service was quick and the picnic bench seating is casual. The grill is within the salt Hill recreation area, which we did not explore, but looks very interesting.

Best Gator we have Ever had!! Loved!

Burger tastes like a backyard Burger, fires were crispy, the alligator bites were ok. It's a good stop if you're starving.

A counter seat is hit or miss but nice to have available instead of only being a walk up window. Skip the smoothies. They're watery and thus not very filling or flavorful. I came around 1 PM and the restaurant was really busy with locals and some tourists. The restaurant only has counter seating in the windows with barstool seating (no inside seating) so you have to wait until someone gets up and then you seat yourself. I waited about 2-3 minutes and found a seat (it's all pretty quick because people eat their sandwiches and come and go). When I was seated I was warmly greeted by a restaurant employee and he promptly took my order. I ordered the Bora Bora smoothie to start (around $7) and ordered the turkey and brie cheese sandwich (around $10). The smoothie was made quickly with fresh fruit and the sandwich is a huge portion and came up quick with fresh bread and all fresh produce, the sandwich was truly amazing! Make sure to use the vinagarette dressing on the counter, this is homemade and is so good! If you're near a La Sandwicherie location, definitely stop in!

The prices initially caught my attention -- many of the sandwiches run around $20+ -- but the portions and quality start to make sense once you see what comes out of the kitchen. The owner, who hails from Brooklyn, noticed my order and told me I should try something different. He ended up making me an off-menu sandwich called the "Dapper Don." It starts with a toasted baguette brushed with garlic oil, then piled high with house-roasted beef, arugula, caramelized onions, crispy fried onions, herb aioli, and a generous amount of shaved Parmigiano. The flavors are big and well balanced -- peppery greens, rich aioli, sweet onions, and salty cheese tying everything together. The sandwich itself is massive. Easily large enough to split between two people. The shop is bright and modern and feels closer to an Italian paninoteca with Brooklyn-sized portions than a typical South Florida deli. One thing to note: this plaza has historically been a tough location for restaurants due to high rents. But if Generoso can build a loyal following around sandwiches like this, it definitely has a chance.

Finally, the cashier asked me if I got my drink and I said no, and she said, "sir it only comes in one size," however, she did not neglect to charge me for a double. As they say, experience is the best example. My opinion, is at this store will not last once people realize they are being overcharged. This will be my last time in this family owned Italian sandwich shop that charges for every little thing.

His level of customer service immediately stood out, he genuinely takes the time to guide first-time customers and make them feel comfortable. Frank suggested what he considers the four must-try sandwiches for a first visit: the Italian, Tuna, Corned Beef & Pastrami, and the Philly Cheesesteak. I followed his recommendation and tried the tuna sandwich, which was outstanding, fresh, perfectly balanced, and generously prepared. I also took a Tuna sandwich to go for my wife after trying it and ordered the Italian to try later, which I'm already looking forward to. What impressed me most was not just the quality of the food but the overall experience. Frank's knowledge of his menu, his willingness to help customers decide, and his genuine pride in the deli create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. If you love great sandwiches, top-notch service, and an owner who truly cares about the customer experience, I highly recommend Franky's Deli Warehouse to anyone. It's the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite.

I most recently stopped by for a bite at this location a few blocks from North Shore Open Space Park, a.k.a. the full moon party. They have a few outside tables as well as an inside counter seating area. You typically order your sandwich & smoothie, pay and then your belly gets happy. They have a few regular sandwiches that they make fresh (i.e. not premade), as well as a "build your own" option on the menu. My go to is their Italian sub on a crispy baguette. It comes stuffed with ham, prosciutto, and salami as well as a slice of cheese. You do get to customize the green stuff, which for me is fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, and their little cornichons (baby pickles). As far as dipping sauces, they have the usual oil and balsamic as well as a lightly creamy vinaigrette, which to me had a slight hint of spiciness. I loved it! Going for my sweet tooth, their açai bowl is really packed with the açai paste, granola and fresh berries. The staff is pretty friendly and gets my order out on time. The spot is also dog friendly, I've seen folks come in with their four legged children.

He asked us if it was our first time and then i heard "oh you gotta try our vodka sauce!!" Before i knew it, i had a small cup of the most delicious vodka sauce I've ever had. (One of us is a little boring) The Turkey sandwich was full of fresh ingredients and served on their house made focaccia bread. Then the chicken Caesar salad sandwich (my choice) - this wasn't on the menu but i had heard about it and i am VERY glad i got it. Thin thin chicken cutlets, delicious Ceaser dressing, freshly shaved Parmesan cheese again on their home made focaccia bread. Each bite FULL of the flavors you want. The worst part about it was when i looked down and it was gone. The Buto was the final boss. Chicken cutlets covered in vodka sauce, pesto, home made mozzarella served on their semolina rolls. While raw dishes aren't usually my preference, I can still appreciate quality--and the person I was with said the carpaccio was a perfect 10/10 and clearly a standout for a reason. The turkey club, though, completely stole the show for me. It was hands down the best turkey sandwich I've ever had. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh--the meat was thinly sliced and flavorful, the bread tasted freshly baked, and the vegetables were crisp, clean, and vibrant. You can tell the sauces are house-made and thoughtfully crafted--they elevate everything. Sandwiches range around $17-$17.25 and again, are absolutely worth every penny. I've also heard the chips are made in-house (trying those next time), and I did try the chocolate chip cookie--it was very good and the perfect sweet finish. Service: The staff was amazing. Even with how busy it stays, they were patient, accommodating, and genuinely kind. You never feel rushed, and they take the time to get your order just right. Ambience: It's a very small, window-style spot with no traditional seating, but honestly, it doesn't need it. The focus is entirely on the food, and it speaks for itself. It's impressive how such high-quality, beautifully made sandwiches come out of such a modest space. Food takes about 15 minutes to make, fyi. This place is busy for a reason. Every bite proves it's worth it. If you haven't tried it yet, it's an absolute must.
