The flavor was definitely there and the BBQ sauce was really good, but I felt like the ribs themselves didn't have much meat on them. The bones were larger than the actual amount of meat, which was a little disappointing for a full rack order. Aside from that, the overall taste was solid and I'd probably come back, but next time I'd try a different menu item instead of the ribs. We used to love going to their previous location which was a bigger restaurant and felt like walking into someone's home LOL now it feels like an ordinary plaza food spot with bright lights. The seating is also awkward as everyone can watch each other eat. Their food has always been delicious but it significantly went up in price. We ordered 2 bbq classic dinners with Mac and cheese and 2 fountain drinks. I wouldn't recommend the Mac, didn't have flavor. We spent $70 total. Was in the mood for baby back ribs and decided to dine at Rob's. It's located in a strip mall. Small restaurant with maybe 15 tables. You walk in and place your order and pay. They will then deliver your food to your table. Monday and Tuesday they run a baby back rib special for $ 17.99. Full rack, beans, Cole slaw, garlic bread and one side we all had sweet potatoes. Arriving a little past six and only two tables were empty. The ribs were moist and fell off the bones. The Cole slaw was creamy. My only complaint was the sweet potato was not hot nor warm but I ate it anyway. Comes with a cinnamon butter. Delicious. Not a fancy place but perfect for a barbecue. Decided to try this place out while in town just for a non-chain dinner. Family of five with elementary age kids, so wasn't sure how it would go but it was awesome. The kids each got different things and their food came out first (always a bonus!) and pretty fast. I ordered the Thursday special, which was a half rack of ribs and part of a roasted chicken. DELICIOUS! The BBQ sauces on the table were great and I put them on my side of broccoli. My wife ordered the brisket and it was tender. Portion sizes were good. I've visited the location in Davie long ago. It's much larger & more like a restaurant. This location is smaller & seems like more of a takeout location. The restaurant was very clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have lunch specials each day with a meat, side & drink for $10.99. I had the Pulled Pork platter with Collard greens (an extra $1.50 side) The meat was very tender but not very hot. The Collard greens were very good but probably could be cooked a little more. Overall, I felt it was good and very reasonable. But I can't say it's one of the best barbecue restaurants I've been to. read more

We're always excited to find barbecue. This is a fast food style establishment-walk up counter with menu sitting in front of cash register. That was a turn off as there was only ONE menu and it was covered in grease so it felt gross to touch. Unfortunately the woman that took our order was pretty unfriendly in her tone and face. We had the pulled pork with beans- both were very tasty, brisket with steamed broccoli- also very tasty but the broccoli was microwaved. There is a choice of sauces. Came here for the first time with my dad. We got the catfish special. It was homemade and made to order. The place was clean and steady. You order at the front and then they bring you the food. The catfish was great, made fresh and very crispy. I would give it 7.5 out of 10. -the cornbread was 3/10. It looked and tasted like old cornbread or say old cornbread that's just warmed up, so I asked them if it could be swapped for fresh one. Instead of giving me a fresh one I think they just cut it open and gave me the same exact cornbread that I had given them. It was even cold. 2nd batch of cornbread- still kind of cold in the middle. Tasted like they warmed it up in the microwave. I asked if they could heat it up in the griddle and that made it much better -3rd times a charm. After he didn't get up on the grill and spreading the cinnamon butter on it, I would give it a six out of 10. Much better. -the beans were -really enjoyed the garlic bread 7.5/10 -the sweet potatoe fries were good and normal -8/10 -our server was really good though. TL;DR - Eat at Rob's! 10/10 Highly recommend. Rob's has catered lunch at my office many few times, and I always rave to my husband about how much I enjoy the food, so I finally decided to stop by the restaurant to pick up dinner for us. Rob's Family BBQ restaurant looks very inviting from the outside, and when you go in, you can smell the wonderful food being prepared in the open kitchen. Erica took my order and she was so pleasant and we thought it was cool that we have the same name. I got the brisket (my favorite when they cater) and baby back rib dinners which come with coleslaw, baked beans and garlic bread, and I upgraded my additional sides to mac 'n cheese and a loaded baked potato. I also ordered the corn bites and corn bread, and for dessert I got the banana pudding and key lime pie. The payment process was easy, you can join their club to get future promotions (which I did). My order was ready in about 10 minutes. My husband could understand why I rave about Rob's BBQ. The brisket was tender and served with a flavorful sauce, the ribs were well-seasoned and sauced as well. The mac 'n cheese was thick and cheesy, and my loaded baked potato came with cheese and bacon, with the butter and sour cream on the side. It was still crispy on the outside, which I enjoyed because I like to eat the potato skin. The corn bites were crispy and a little sweet. The desserts were in cups and they're in a parfait-style, with layers. The key lime pie was a balance of tart and sweet, the banana pudding was just the right amount of banana flavor and sweetness. This wasn't my first visit but will be my last visit to this locations, the food I ordered had bones in it of the sloppy Joe and baked beans wasn't well made properly, didn't enjoy it, or finish it. BUT to top it off, when the three of us ordered and told the person behind the counter we will sitting outside so consider eat in, but outside tables. When she delivered the food to us outside in bags with white to go boxes, and asked why in bags her REPLY back was I don't have to come out and clean the table there is trash can over there for you to throw out your food, and for this I gave a tip when I paid for the food. I live around the corner from this store, but you won't see me EVER order from this location again. I don't enjoy eating on takeout boxes? Stopped by with my team after a long meeting. It was my first time going to the restaurant but my colleagues have always spoke about the delicious food as it's been catered to our office before. The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for, I loved the fact it had an open kitchen and we saw the workers preparing orders behind the cash register which made us curious of the delicious food we seen. My large group was provided great friendly service and we all loved what we ordered. Look rob has been around a good while but man the food is just bland. The lack of seasoning leaves so much to be desired. You have to drown everything in sauce to taste anything.
