I loved the ambiance of this gelato parlor! It feels like an old time small town ice cream parlor from days past. One where the ice cream parlor is as much of a social gathering place as it is a place to enjoy some of your favorite flavors! Speaking of favorite flavors, mine is chocolate. Now I am not usually a big fan of gelato, I have to say their chocolate gelato was some of the best I have ever had! I was also impressed by the service here. I was greeted as I walked in the door, and I was also offered samples of any flavors I wanted to try. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back when I am in the area. Review #2098

First time trying this spot and definitely plan on returning! The location is perfect for a stroll on a nice day. It's located by a park with tons of sitting areas and a playground for kids. There's also a farmers market and art gallery near by. The interior and exterior of this place is gorgeous. The worker was very friendly and let us try multiple of their unique flavors. I got the Milk Chocolate but the Cookie and Ferraro Rocher flavors were nice as well. The coconut gelato was also a hit if you are a fan of coconut!

First time here! I would give it a 4.5 overall, I got the rose gelato and loved the flavor! It wasn't too strong or sweet, but was permeating throughout to give a constant floral flavor. Really good and delicate! The ice cream is stretchy, I think they add gum to give it more texture. I like this texture, but just keep this in mind. It was $3.69 for one scoop, and $5.69(?) for two scoops, which seems pretty expensive but it was more ice cream than I expected. They have a lot of flavors from chocolate, to fruit flavors, to sorbet. Interior is very colorful orange and blue, and service was good. I would come back again to try more!

This gelato is amazing. We tried the peanut butter honey and the ferrero rocher. The flavor is spot on. It's super creamy and delicious. I love that you can sample flavors before deciding. And I love that their single scoop is small enough for an afternoon treat that won't spoil dinner.

Get ready for a flavor explosion in your mouth! This bright and fun gelato place is a fantastic way to satisfy your sweet tooth-and has options for both gluten free (the whole menu is GF!) as well as diabetic friendly options. You can rest well knowing that the sweet treats here are better for you than regular ice cream-take a look at the menu board to see the ingredients and the comparison between gelato and ice cream. Service was friendly-the guy at the counter was happy to let us try a few flavors to determine what we wanted. I tried the rose (it tasted just like I would image a rose would!) but ultimately landed on the mango. Holy Moley that stuff was tart! But I loved it.

We passed by this Turkish Gelato artisan shop in East Plano. They make their artisan gelato in house. My son ordered their special pistachio on a sugar cone. It's freshly made, creamy and delicious. Clean and well lighted gelato shop. Cashier/Serving person is courteous.

Everything looked good to me and I was trying to make a decision. I counted 7 employees and not one greeted me or offered help. There were a couple other people in the store but there was no line. I asked a young woman for help and she was polite but not at all welcoming. I ordered one pint of Coconut and one pint of Cookie Dough. She was having a difficult time scooping the ice cream into the pint containers, so a gentleman working behind the counter as well, took over. As I watched him pack the containers I thought they looked kind of shallow. At other ice cream stores I frequent, they pack the ice cream solid and heavy. I felt like they just didn't really care, actually. I was friendly and smiling as I'm one of "those people" who wants everyone to like them! I paid for the order and tipped 15% on the register. That was the smallest percent offered unless you said "no tip" or custom. I I typically tip much more but felt like I shouldn't since they were so unfriendly. When I returned home and got the containers out to taste the ice cream, I could definitely see they weren't 16 ounces. I got my scale out to check and indeed, they came up way short. I mean...for the price? $7.99 ...$8 a pint? At least fill it up to get what you are paying for, am I wrong? I won't go back and I'm sure they couldn't care less, but for others who don't frequent centers like this one was in, you may want to know ahead of time what to expect. Taste wise? It was very creamy and good.

I'd already devoured a dinner plate when I arrived so a hot dog was out of the question for this visit but I'm totally doing a hot dog, followed by ice cream on my next visit. My split cone, and patriotic rainbow sprinkled waffle cone was soul satisfying! I sat outside and it melted all over. Not a single f given. I left a sticky mess but totally worth it. I'll surely return in the future and hope these two flavors are staples because they nailed them. I've tasted some great ice cream and to be completely honest, that wedding cake flavor should be award winning if it isn't. The flavor profile combined with the texture components. Sensational! Service was friendly. Highly recommend.

I ordered a crepe cake for my son's 21st birthday as a request he wanted so we found Mango Mango Dessert on Google. We placed the order and I took cash and had my phone to pay by card. We got there and the young lady asked my daughter if we were paying by cash or card. My daughter responded card. I got to the counter and then we interacted with a gentleman and I asked him could I pay by card. He said yes and rung it up, the total came to $104.63. I asked him how much was the cake and he said $85 but there's a processing fee. I responded that that was a high processing fee and normally businesses I've interact with only charge 3% convenience fee at the most. To avoid paying the $19.63 processing fee, I paid $85 cash for my transaction but I don't think a consumer should have pay the merchant's processing fee to that extent for that amount and I got a free mango smoothie for the points I would have earned for my purchase. The mango smoothie was absolutely delicious and for that I will go back again because I haven't found anyone that makes a smoothie with real mangos and it was sweet. I will also add that their customer service was still very nice. If you are interested in getting a cake made here, it's cost effective to pay by CASH.

It was SO special. We haven't been back in many years and not only did that magical original location close, but what we found instead was this monstrosity of a location that felt hyper corporatized and commercial--in other words, soulless. Listen, we don't begrudge them their success. And we were so happy for them when we saw them being mentioned in the NYT a few years ago. But now Bigdash has gone full American--they've expanded to multiple locations, the quality has gone down, and that je-ne-sais-quoi magic is completely gone. We came here yesterday after a stellar meal at Khashoka, excited since it's been so long since our last visit. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.
