When I found out I couldn't order my fav flavor ice-cream from Salt & Straw for delivery (and I have to order an entire random pack with a bunch of other flavors I have zero interest in), I decided to start trying to find a great place nearby, enter Handel's. What I liked most about them was on a Friday after dinner there were tons of customers. It made the place feel special and right out front the very first spot is reserved for Veterans and Police. I loved seeing that spot, every business should have this. I ordered the seasonal key lime pie and Graham central station. Graham Central Station is it!!! I've been thinking of it fondly and know that's my go to flavor here. I did have to toss a bit of the key lime pie ice-cream into the trash to ensure I had room to get to the graham central station, maybe next time I inquire on a kids scoop. I always love a place that makes their own creative ice creams. Handel's is now one of my favorites when I am visiting the area. There's so many amazing varieties you can choose from. This was my first visit to Handel's, and I really liked it! I felt bad coming in 20 minutes before closing, but the employees were super friendly and accommodating. They have a huge variety of flavors. The space is decorated really well and is spacious. They have lots of seating outside and a few tables inside as well. My ice cream was really good! Disappointed at Handel's Ice Cream - Misleading Post I visited Handel's Ice Cream in Plano after seeing their mouthwatering Facebook post about their "Monkey Business" flavor (banana cake batter ice cream with caramel ripple and brownie pieces). The first photo below is what they posted on Facebook. Excited to try it, I ordered the same flavor. What I received is in the second photo. When I politely showed the employee their Facebook post, she tried to convince me that it was the same product. Unfortunately, the reality didn't come close. LOVE Handel's!!! They're literally 5 min away from our house and my husband and I come here whenever we feel like having a "fun" little night out. Love that they are open pretty late at night and every time we go we are visited by high-energy, bright smiles. This place just makes us feel happy every time we go. Our favorite flavor is Mudpie. It is such a good balance of coffee ice cream, chocolate, and Oreos. I'm so glad they put this flavor on their regular menu. We also like bringing a pint back home.
