We rented the 3 bedroom apartment for a girl's trip. We had a great time. The exterior is adorable. Happy yellow looks so welcoming. The long brick driveway adds to it's charm. There is a large deck for gathering with coffee or wine. There are several other outdoor sitting areas around the property also. The interior is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is huge and very convenient. The two bathrooms and laundry are great. The bedrooms are spaced out nicely with one room that has bunk beds. There are TV's in each bedroom and the living room also. Tons of windows wrap around the corner unit so it's bright and cheerful. Word of warning: There is a real cleanliness issue. I re-cleaned the entire unit because it was in serious need. To feel comfortable during a pandemic, management needs to address this immediately. We were also told that the unit is going to get a makeover soon. I feel once the unit is updated and they address cleaning protocols, it will be a great vacation spot. Situated just off the beach, we walked over for sunrises each morning. The location is fantastic for dining as there are a couple of great spots just across the street. Overall, the potential is there and could be a fantastic rental option.

Location was good. Bad smell upon entry. AC actively dripping onto the carpet. Hair in the shower from prior guests. Room was disgusting.

You know you're an adult when the washer and dryer was one of the best parts of the vacay! No laundry to drag home!

Wow! That was my reaction upon walking in. We stayed in Suite 1, the three bed two bathroom. The kitchen was AWESOME! The laundry room, a lifesaver! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need down to a cork screws and scissors! The beds were cozy and comfortable! Personally I loved the decor. It was a hodge podge of things which just screams vintage beach cottage! I may have been the only one who liked the purple but only cause everyone else thought blue/green would have been gorgeous. We stayed with 2 babies and 6 adults. We never felt like we were on top of one another. The bunk beds while not the best for our particular situation are a great added touch for families traveling with bigger kids. My recommendations that would make this 5 star: Our carpet was a little dirty. I know all about Savannah's infamous powder fine black dirt and the fact that we are on a beach, so I get it. It wasn't gross it just needs replacing. More stocks of essentials. While the dish soap in the kitchen was great and complimentary sample of laundry soap and dryer sheets was great, extra toilet paper and trash bags would have been a huge help! We ended up having to go to IGA to buy tp because two rolls with 3 women and 3 men just didn't last that long! LoL Also, y'all need a welcome book for each room with a little bit of history on the house. Maybe a little welcome basket with a couple bottle waters and a praline or two. Thought I can see how folks may throw down over just 2 pralines! All in all I LOVE this place. I literally can not wait to get back! The upgrades from last year were simply amazing! The pool is tiny but perfect and I love that it's salt water! Just a great great place! Short, perfect little walk to the beach! You can hear the waves!

The place is wonderful. Comfortable, great views, amenities. It was off-season (we like fewer crowds) so not a lot going on, just peaceful and quiet. Staff has gone way above and beyond to help rectify an error on our part. I could not be more thankful!

After staying here almost every year for the past 15 years, my family has enjoyed many great…read morememories. However, the condos are now more run-down, and there are a couple problems that should be addressed. First, the fact that smoking is still permitted on the balconies is ridiculous. Secondhand smoke, as we all know, is toxic and immediately harmful. The beach view is the key feature to this place, and everyone should be able to sit on the patio to enjoy it without the smell of cigarette smoke. This year I brought a floor fan to put on the patio with me, but it did not prevent the smell of smoke. There is no safe level of breathing secondhand smoke whether you are indoors or out. Smoking needs banned on the patios. The second issue is with the mildew smell of the air vents. The first two days this week, all I could smell is fresh laundry. Apparently, there are dryer sheets on the air filters, which is loaded with toxic chemicals btw. However, the rest of the week, it smelled strongly of mildew every time the AC kicked on. That could be a serious issue for those with asthma or mold allergies. Third, the kitchen could definitely use an update, specifically the scratched nonstick cooking pans, which are toxic (you knew that was coming). Those need replaced with new ceramic pans. And one last note - I find it absolutely ironic that I witnessed the maintenance man threatening a lady in the pool that he would call the health department and have her kicked out because she removed the rope that separates deep/shallow ends. Yes, call the health department, please, and ask them about all the issues I listed as well. Folks, overall this is a decent place to stay with perks like the beach view, free coffee, and an easy walk to the pool. However, be aware of the negatives that could potentially harm your well-being. We go on vacation to relax and de-stress, not come home with lung cancer. Seriously.

You could tell how much thought and effort went in to presentation, flavor and diversity. I loved the peach cream baked french toast so much I had to look up similar recipes so I can make it at home. There were always cold drinks in the mini fridge, ice in the cooler, water in a pitcher, snacks in a bowl and best of all something homemade every day. I can't decide if my favorite was the rocky road bars, or this chocolate peanut buttery rice crispy like dessert. We stayed in both the Sunrise Suite and the Starfish room because neither were available for all five days. Both are fantastic! Hot roomy showers, oh so comfy robes, soft sheets and towels, mattresses that were not too soft nor too hard, perfectly painted, and well chosen decor. The house has a covered porch on three sides so there are loungers in both the shade and in the sun by the pool. My favorite spot was the swing. The beach is a five minute walk away, not crowded at all, and made for long walks. I love to travel and try new places, but Surf Song on Tybee is a place I will look forward to returning to in the years to come. I wished we lived closer so we could visit several times a year.

It was rainy and cold all weekend but we didn't mind honestly because the room was so wonderful and cozy! There were indoor cushioned swings to lounge in, complimentary robes, and the linens were to die for. It was so quiet it felt like we were the only ones there, and we had the absolute best view! Breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed chatting with the owner, as she was super attentive, warm, and friendly. We enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch swing before heading out for a walk on a the beach once the rain had cleared. We will absolutely be back to Surf Song for another stay in the near future! We cannot recommend it enough!

Good Location. We…read morestayed here to be by the water in Typee (and yes we knew there was a public parking lot between the hotel and beach). The hotel check in was easy and the people at the front desk were very friendly, and gave us lots of good information! We got to the room and instantly smelled skunk (weed)..... we opened the door to hopefully get it to get cleared and it helped a little bit. But we could still smell it. Otherwise the beds were nice when we went into the room. The bathroom was alright seems kind of tacky and cheaply put together.... And we kept finding hair everywhere (in the bathtub, in the sink, on the floor). The floor seemed sticky as well, we just stayed in our flip flops the whole time.

Location location location!…read more The hotel is so convenient. It's within easy walking distance for 2 breakfast spots and a lot of lunch/dinner restaurants, and shopping, plus the pier and the beach. We booked thru trip advisor which was quite reasonable, but the hotel website itself also offers specials so check that out first. We got a king ocean view. The room was on the fourth floor (they have elevators) and had a balcony and gorgeous views of the beach (and sunrises). There are blackout curtains should you wish to sleep late. The room was quite large -- in addition to the king bed there was another area with a sink next to the fridge and microwave. The large open closet area also has an in room safe, ironing board, and iron. Plus there are beach towels and two beach chairs, as well. The modern bathroom has an in tub/shower and a hairdryer plus the usual. Towels were plentiful -- thick white ones. It was an easy walk from the hotel over the boardwalk to the beach. They also have two pools. We visited the tiki bar for a drink when we arrived. We didn't use room cleaning services, but just exchanged towels for a fresh set one day. The hotel is not new -- you can see all the historic photos posted in the elevator. But it had all the necessary amenities and was comfortable. We'd stay here again.
