Room - needs a refresh. - hot and cold faucets were reversed. - Bath door handle coming off. - toilet replenishes water when it wants too. - 90% of tv channels always are 'no service check cable'. The few that worked, were on/off due to satellite interference. Am I being picky, no these things add up. Did I mention these things to anyone, no. Why should my stay at a 5 star resort $$$$$, be interrupted by people going in and out of my room fixing things. Do I need the aggravation. They truly cared about our experience, worked to make sure we were happy. The location itself was great. Steps from the beach, with gated access to covered parking and two assigned parking places. The condo was older but well-maintained and furnished. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. There was a spacious open living area with a galley kitchen and bar, a separate dining area, and a wrap-around covered balcony. We feel like we made friends with Mermaid Cottages and look forward to seeing them again soon!

We arrived early and was greeted by a member of the staff and driven to the club house while we checked in for the round we enjoyed a Bloody Mary why not it was after 7:00 AM and seemed fitting. This was a great way to start we chose the Grey Goose even though it was $17 a shot after checking in at the Pro Shop we were amazed we were the only two on the course the next tee time was more than an hour behind us what more could you ask for. There is nothing better than playing golf along side the ocean on a isolated island course a little after sunrise sipping on a well prepared Bloody Mary. The course was in excellent shape and with no pace to keep up with we could not only enjoy the round but all the wildlife and the salty air. It was almost to perfect. We did learn quick not to under estimate the course it can be very challenging with the ocean breeze definitely a factor to contend with. The greens are a little deceiving but are well maintained and true. The ocean spray keeps a few of these greens moist I can't believe the salt doesn't affect the greens they were perfect I'm guessing they use some type of hybrid grass. They held really well and were a little slower than I would of liked but after a few holes we got the feel of them and it was fine. The entire experience was amazing the staff was great and the day was filled with memories. I would highly recommend spending some time here we would definitely come back and take advantage of all the amenities the island offers.

We had a pleasant thirty minute boat ride from Savannah. On arrival we were treated like old friends. Charles picked us up at the dock and drove us to the pro shop where Rocket checked us in and gave us a quick history of BP. We teed of about 10:00 with nobody in front or behind us., had time for a leisurely lunch at the turn before heading out on the back nine and were finished in time to catch the 4:00 back to Savannah. We stayed in the private's quarters which was very clean and comfortable with everything one could need/want in a room. Breakfast was very nice with great options and being served in the dining room/cafe location made it a great way to start the day. We felt very catered to. Loved that they offered beach chairs and bikes for guests. The only suggestion that we could offer is if you stay on the first floor of the house expected that the visitors above you may be heavy footed and the sound will echo other than that we really enjoyed out stay.

2/5 - Disappointing Stay (Not Truly Dog-Friendly)…read more We booked this hotel because it was advertised as dog-friendly, but that only applies to having your dog in the room--not in common areas. When we arrived and walked into the lobby with our dog, Coopie, we were immediately yelled at by multiple staff members saying she couldn't be there unless she was a service dog. She is, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. We've stayed at many hotels over the years--both before and after she became a service dog--and have never experienced anything like this. The hotel itself is very basic and outdated. The room felt poorly maintained, with visible stains on the bedding, and the floors and bathroom did not feel clean. Cleanliness overall was a big issue. Customer service was also disappointing. The front desk staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. Even simple requests, like asking for extra towels or clean sheets, were met with attitude, which is not what you expect from a hotel. The overall experience, especially as dog owners, felt very negative. If you just need a place to sleep, it may work, but it's not worth it if you value cleanliness, service, or a genuinely dog-friendly environment. We'll be returning to our usual hotels on the island that are much more welcoming--even if they cost more.

They have 3 bicycles and shuttle car that can be used to navigate and get around (with the shuttle there are limited drop off and pick up spots - but I do like they give you a variety. Our shuttle driver Damon was sooooo friendly and helpful!! This hotel does not have a pool for those like myself who enjoy swimming. They do offer breakfast and have the Twin Spades bar available for drinks and foods particularly breakfast. In the lobby, they have a decent market for any last minute toiletries, food, and even gift needs. Overall, I would stay here again, it was very nice :)

First, I want to recognize Meg at the front desk. She was kind, empathetic, professional, and genuinely tried to help during a very difficult situation. She was clearly following instructions given to her and treated us with compassion throughout. Unfortunately, everything else about our arrival was handled very poorly. I made and prepaid a two-night reservation several days in advance through Hotels.com. After driving roughly six hours from Florida to attend a concert, we arrived expecting a normal check-in. Instead, we were told the hotel was oversold and we were being relocated to a Best Western. While the room at the Best Western was complimentary, it was nowhere near comparable to what we had booked. The lobby was dark and had a strong unpleasant odor. The elevator was dirty, the room was right next to the elevator with a white noise machine provided to mask the sound. It was a significant downgrade from the Hilton property we selected and paid for. The expectation was that we unpack for one night, repack in the morning, check out by eleven, spend hours without a room, and then return after 3pm to check back into The Bluff. That is an unreasonable inconvenience for any guest. While the room at the Best Western was complimentary, it was nowhere near comparable to what we had booked. The lobby was dark and had a strong unpleasant odor. The elevator was dirty, the room was right next to the elevator with a white noise machine provided to mask the sound.
