Hey man, this place was a welcome surprise. Came here on the late night while staying in Biltmore. It seemed like everything else in the area closed at 10 PM. We were hungry settled on this place to meet a friend for drinks. Service was great. It's small narrow what I would describe as a faux dive bar. They have cigarette machines with Zen and vapes in them. They were playing hip-hop. It gave off very millennial vibes. Food was good especially the Glizzy menu. And the fries taste hand cut, and fresh. I had the chili dog fries we also had some potato skins and some delicious hot wings. Staff service was great. Be warned the place is small. Never have I ever felt racially profiled anywhere until I came to this bar. Me and some friends came from California and were looking for somewhere to have drinks and watch the game. Tatum the bartender came over and took our order, not very friendly but it was decently busy so no biggie, she checked all of our ID's and brought over the first round of drinks. Our actual waitress then comes over and we try to order another round of drinks when she then asked if she could see our ID's to verify and we all gladly gave her the ID's and this is when things go bad. The waitress took our ID's to scan because she wasn't confident that they were real, we agreed but we look over and she's searching in a book and going online to verify if our ID's were real and at that point it had been about 10-15 minutes of her analyzing the ID's and we just told them to cancel our last round and we will just pay the bill and go because we could tell her concern wasn't to find out if they were real but to prove they were fake. Being a neighboring state to Arizona and working a bar you would assume they have experience with California ID's. After everything she tells us we can no longer be served insinuating that our ID's were fake. Not a single other table around us even got their ID checked. And as we looked around we were the only ones who were of color and no one else in that bar were being bothered with their ID's. As I asked for our ID's back and for the bill Tatum gave me plenty of attitude and didn't bother to tell our waitress our request to cancel the order and return our ID's. After everything we were told we could no longer be served because after all that time waiting her scanner randomly didn't want to work. So a bars ID scanner does not work, a light wasn't used to verify the ID and with the use of the internet and book she still couldn't verify our ID's. After everything no manager was called, no reasoning was given to us on why she thought the ID's weren't real and we were told we couldn't be there even after they had served us alcohol. So if our ID's were so suspicious why serve us the alcohol to begin with. If foul play was being done which wasn't on our end it was already done on their end. read more

I have been here several times now. The food is always good and the bar has a cool vibe. The bartender service is not that great. Weekday/night bartender spends a lot of time socializing. In addition this was the third time my bill was not correct. My friend had to track her down to get her to correct theirs and I asked to have mine corrected as well. She had an attitude about it. In driving past the storefront a while ago, The Bar. caught my attention as well as my sister's. This was the next stop on the list of places to try. So we checked it out for $1 Wing Tuesday. Those wings were fresh in taste and cooked to order. I had to wait for them to cool down before taking a bite. I like my wings fried hard (Chicago term) so I asked for them to be cooked extra crispy (Arizona term). Boy am I happy I did because the wings are jumbo. I don't typically care for jumbo wings because they are usually tough and not cooked long enough for me, but these were meaty and delicious. The wing flavors tried was the John Blaze Honey Hots and Lemon Pepper with an order of fresh cut fries and blue cheese dressing for dipping. The drink I ordered was the Sexican and was very refreshing. So many spots to choose from, but this might be my new Tuesday spot when I want to mix it up from Taco Tuesday. read more

Went here for the NBA Finals with my family friend. I went for happy hour and I must say the deals are pretty good. I got wings and they were really good. I also got a bottled beer, but you can't really say much about that. The service is what you expect at a bar. Not super attentive, but attentive enough to not leave you dehydrated. read more

Absolutely love this place!!! It has taken me forever to finally visit the bar. and they did not disappoint. The number one thing I absolutely LOVE about the bar, they serve fresh cut fries. The wings were amazing, I had them with the John Blaze honey hot and the sauce was delicious!!! The drink I ordered, Sexican, so good. Jenna has a serious/serial short-pour problem. Especially with bartender Jordan. I emailed her privately to address but nothing has changed. We're talking a 3 second pour. Sometimes it's 4-5 seconds but still short. And inconsistent isn't good either. Food is good. read more

A hole-in-the-wall bar that makes you immediately feel like a local. Went after getting some wing recommendations from a friend and they even have 85 cent wings on Tuesdays! (Dine in only though). There aren't a lot of flavor options for the wings but the flavors that they do have are quite unique like the Cherry BBQ flavor; not something I would order on the regular but still delicious. I normally crave extra sauce but these wings might have been a little too smothered for me in this extra sweet sauce. The John Blaze Hot Honey did have a good kick to it but not excessively hot. Good combo of sweet and spicy! And on top of that the fries were perfectly crisp; some of my favorite I've had in Phoenix. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask the server to refill our glasses. Dive bar...Christmas lights, dark and dingy. I love it. We enjoyed a few nitro stouts and some wings. The wings were a little chewy. We tend to like ours with a crispy skin. We will come back because we love little dive bars like this. The servers were fun, but it was game night and it was jam-packed. This hole in the wall, low key bar has stolen my heart in just one visit! My friends and I have been wanting to check this spot out for a few weeks and finally did Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We had the BEST time! When you walk in your greeted by the bartenders and can sit wherever you like. Once we sat down they asked if we wanted to play bingo. Such a random but fun addition to the bar, everyone was into it and the bar felt like a large family reunion! While we were visiting we ordered the following: Grilled Cheese, Potato Skins and Onion Rings. I felt that there was a lot of cheese, more than I would like but if you like EXTRA cheesy, than well worth it! The potato skins were very tasty and my friends killed the onion rings. After this and several drinks, the cost was very reasonable! Overall, the atmosphere was so fun and this bar was able to create great community and fun - go inside and enjoy the ride! This bar isn't super busy and has surprisingly good food! They had one bartender in here servicing the entire place, and let me tell you, this girl SLAYED! We came to watch the Michigan game. They have 5 TVs - 4 behind the bar and one big one on the wall. It's small enough that you can see any tv from anywhere, and not too busy that you can enjoy a game without crazy crowds. It's a Michigan bar; Wolverines, Spartans, Redwings, Lions. They play great music. There's darts and board games, and lots of Big Lebowski art around. I ordered a grilled cheese and cook came out himself to ask me if everything was to my liking- it was! I finally stopped in here recently for a drink with a friend and it gives you an elevated dive bar vibe without the grime. Also you have to love the Big Lebowski artwork.
