I requested a straight style with a bit of volume at the bottom. She didn't quite follow through with that. Then, when she went to shampoo my hair, it was mediocre at best. Once we made it back to the chair, she asked me again how I wanted my hair styled, which I found odd since we had just discussed it. But I reminded her. From there, the experience went downhill. The stylist made several unnecessary comments about my curly and silver hair, even asking if I was on medication that affected my hair, which was completely inappropriate. She also overloaded my hair with hairspray to the point that the smell was overwhelming when I got into my car. To top it all off, when I reached out to the owner, Lisa, to express my concerns, she was dismissive and unprofessional, showing no regard for my experience. I paid $115 for a blow-dry that simply wasn't done well, and I felt pressured into a haircut I didn't want. In short, I wouldn't recommend this salon if you're looking for a professional and respectful experience.

On the day of the trial I thought she would come to me, but that was not the case (oh no!). I was able to make it to her studio in time to still have my appointment which did not feel rushed at all despite me being late. She is knowledgeable about skin health and gave me great tips on making my skin look as healthy as possible for the wedding day. I do not usually wear makeup and loved the finished product. My husband on the other hand looked at me like I was a total stranger! The morning of the ceremony (which was VERY early in the morning) I asked her to lighten up the look so my husband could recognize me. She did a great job adjusting to my request. I also wanted to make a little change to the hairstyle we had tried, which Marina was able to do perfectly. My husband wanted to have a stress free time getting ready, so she did his hair too!
